I find it refreshing that you don't apologize for having things of value. I find myself being careful when talking to anyone younger than myself (seems like MOST people these days) and it's hard to peel the wet off the water, so to speak, and explain how I love the books for the story and the binding, hubs, gilding, etc, but also the work I did to earn something valuable.

Life of Pi - would be great. The movie is available in 3D - which is incredible.
I've been wanting to get that Folio Haunting of Hill House. It looks so nice!
It's so worth it! If you buy it now on their site it's cheaper than waiting and then having to buy it from someone reselling it. It's an incredible edition

one thing tho - try to avoid pbs with nasty spine creases cos they never
look good on the shelf !
Thank you! I'm guessing pbs means paperback? I agree I don't like the look of paperbacks. I'll buy them if the first edition was released as a paperback, and then I have two King paperbacks. But hardcovers definitely look so much better!
Skipped right over that Suntup Misery like it was just another book :(
