Compass Jellyfish (Chrysaora hysoscella)

Chrysaora hysoscella, the compass jellyfish, is a common species of jellyfish that inhabits coastal waters in temperate regions of the northeastern Atlantic Ocean. Characteristic brown triangular markings on dome, ca. 30cm wide. Occurs late Spring - Autumn in Irish coastal waters. Strong stinging capacity.
