But everyone's commenting on the damn white interiors and the name for some reason. So its pretty clear that the Indian consumer buys a vehicle on how it makes them feel rather than base it on practicality. I for one do not understand who this car is for. Clearly its not for offroaders with the sunroof and the white interior. Clearly its not for families as it is not as comfortable as say a Creta, or a Grand Vitara. The person looking for this car is someone who gets it solely for the rugged looks.
This car is gonna be good for campers, the trend is growing in India. You are right the primary things is looks, It has the chunky road presence of Thar, but also have more practical space, more comfortable, more features, adas for long trips. Some youtuber said it has lesser body roll than Scorpio N. It also has better steering connection, so it's handiling lane change and U trun fabulously. It was also showing 17 KMPL on highway MID. But again it's all said by a youtuber, let's see how it actually perform on roads.

Good that they have focused on the luxury parts and bits, but the dual tone beige(lets all agree its outright white) interior and the WHITE seats are like a big NO NO in my opinion, if you want it to be the one car in the garage to do ALL the stuff as Cyrus said! Other than the WHITE interiors and lack of cubby spaces all and all it LOOKS like a good package(can say this confidently once seen in person)! Waiting for the Off-Road Video, hope it will be worth the wait!

Why is everyone just reviewing the obvious? I would like to know the following: 1. How does 4x2 drive on highways, city and off-road 2. 12.99 lac is just a gimmick. All the variants along with the features should be talked about. Like sunroof doesn't come in 12.99. You just have to shell out a hell lot of money to get that sunroof variant and 19 inchers 3. Is 4x2 gonna skid a whole lot on muddy terrains 4. How much do the dual tone variants start from? 5. For how long a family of 5 can travel in this car without a sore back and butt ET CETRA????
They should have kept a full glass at the C pillar and normal door handles on the rear door. Normal grill in the front and remove that Roxx badging. This would have looked much better
Perhaps some people don't understand why and how Pratap Bose, the designer of Mahindra and Mahindra designed this car and especially when it comes to the pillar design, he wanted to make this car stand out from the crowd and you can see it. Video for reference.

I'm disappointed with the length as other siblings have 4.6m length and its smaller than wrangler as it is 4.9m something if they increase the length to 40cm more will have more space to door bottle holders and other stuff too.... please if MAHINDRA see my comment pls work on that in next face lift or update.. or if Mahindra launch a other Thar Variant with bigger one call as adventure..... with length as 4.9m and more space for holding bottle in doors and rear boot capacity utility and front more storage space ... and other thing is that they better give us the long brake lever instead of switch which doesn't fill the ADV vibe....

For off-roading you can get a lower variant which doesn’t have sunroof, has steel wheels and has black interiors. This is a higher variant

Around 15.5 lakhs on road for the base diesel varient. Around 28 lakhs on road for the top of the line 4✖️4 Diesel AX7 L. Man this ain’t cheap!
