Hey Emily, good talk. A friend suggested I check out your videos. On this topic, another scripture passage supporting meat-eating may be Gn 9:3. Plus, we know that Jesus probably ate meat, right? He surely ate plants as he ate bread and drank wine. He ate fish a lot, and if he followed Passover rules he ate lamb. My sister is vegan and often says the scripture, particularly Daniel, is why she does. But Daniel only ate vegetables because in captivity he wasn't sure his captors' meat was clean according to Mosaic law.
Any organism can only eat another organism (Plants or animals), Only organic matter is food. Vegetarians also eat living things (plants), They cannot eat sands or stones.
As I mentioned in the video, I'm very against animal abuse. We ought to respect animals as they are part of God's creation. Upholding the dignity of animals does not mean, however, we should not consume altogether. It means we ought to raise and harvest them with the dignity they deserve. I abhor the abuse that happens in factory farms. It's terrible. Not God's intent for the "dominion" He gave man over creation.
@@ciaobella15 Condemning factory farms is great! I hope you don't financially support them as a consumer. But killing someone for taste, convenience, or tradition is abuse. You cannot "harvest" someone with "dignity" when it's unnecessary. God gave us "dominion" over animals. The power to choose for them.
