      how the fuck it's Greek? it has nothing to do with Greece, they can't even pronounce it correctly

      @irinichristodoulaki-reissi8974 2 года назад

      @@ayhamkimo4488 Who the f@@@ are you to speak about pronunciation??? This is Mediterranean cuisine so both of you open a book🤬

    • @ayhamkimo4488
      @ayhamkimo4488 2 года назад +1

      @@irinichristodoulaki-reissi8974 i am an arab from a Mediterranean country lol that's why, it's very commonplace in Egypt, Syria and Iraq. mousaka literally means "to be chilled" in arabic because we eat it cold, and literally it's impossible for non arabs to pronounce it correctly. it was introduced to Greece only in 1920, before that it was introduced to turkey during the ottoman era from the levant but it's history is way older, the oldest recipe was recorded in Iraq during the 13th century.
      anyway I have nothing against greeks enjoying the dish or making their own version lol that's ok, cultures are meant to be shared anyway, but gatekeeping a dish that doesn't even have origins in Greece to begin with is bullshit.
