My biggest hope in terms of roster is that it’s the first Digimon game to include all the Bancho Digimon and my favorite Digimon of all time, Callismon. The fact it’s confirmed to take place in the Digital World is already a huge relief
I just restarted the game and I really like the flow there. Have to admit, I'm not a fan of the tamagochi style of the World games. Lemme bounce around my evolution lines.
@StrikerJaken I like the story games because there is the choice to digivolve or de digivolve the digimon. In next order, I finally got a Guilmon and a variant of Angemon, but then I took too long to reach certain stats for both and ended up with Guilmon digivolving into a numemon, and That Angemon variant digivolving into a Monzaemon. I hope they add the digimon from the vital bracelet too.

A Digimon game with every Digimon in it would be insane! I put in around 300 hundred hours into cyber sleuth and hakers memory combined this game will easily get that from me
The moment I heard this game is going to be set in the digital world and not the cyber world like CS/HM I was sold. The focus being on the Olympos XII is an amazing bonus. Its about time they get some love. I really think this game could be one of, if not the best digimon game we could get.

I love the idea of it focusing on the Olympus 12 and the theme around it being the main focus is a step in great direction as they don't really appear much besides Coronamon and Lunamon as starters. I just hope they take the time they need and had to make the wait worth it

I’m kinda hoping we get a Digimon Dawn and Dusk remake or reimagining cause it would fit perfectly with how it takes place with the Olympus 12 taking center stage
I was wondering why CyberSleuth felt exactly familiar to me when I played Digimon World Dusk as a kid. It makes complete sense now. But also I miss the sprite work of Dusk and Dawn a lot. That was always peak to me. 3D models are also great and there's no complaints, I just am a big fan of sprites, too. And the sprite work in Dawn and Dusk rules.
As the Olympus 12 are my favorite Digimon Group and with how Cyber Sleuth told its story, I’m still very excited for this game despite how long it’s taking. Though I am a patient man (I am a KH fan after all), so I’m still willing to wait as I have confidence it will result in a great end product. The wait for Survive was insane, but it produced such a good game imo, so I’m willing to wait again to get that same type of end product. Some of my wishes for the game include having all the full lines we already have for the 12 in the game, which shouldn’t be too hard, but I am hoping, PRAYING even, that at least one more member gets an addition to their like. Like seriously, 9 out of the 12 members don’t have lines to any real capacity! My personal vote is for Junomon to get a line to match Jupitermon, maybe even give them a Jogress since they’re meant to be a couple. But those are just my thoughts. Whether they can be considered a part of the O-XII while in this Form however, is where your statement holds some credit, I'll admit...
Cyber sleuth and Hackers memory I still play to this day I know there’s so many Digimon and I’m not super avid in the series but I hope my favorite line gets added, Lorvomon to Volcanicdramon! It’s been my favorite for a while since they came on the D-vices!

Yeah, I'm in the boat of "didn't know they were making one" 😂. I love the turn based Digimon games, so I'm hoping it'll be more like those. The DS games were some of my favourite, digivolving and the De-digivolving to make them stronger and try out different routes was always my favourite part of these games. Fingers crossed we get a release over here.
One thing I’d like to see (not necessarily from the next story or world game but a survive esque game where characters have set partners) is a Digimon that’s been seen before as a partner in the anime but they completely go with a different Digivolition path as a subversion. An example I can think of off the top of my head would be if a character gets paired with a Biyomon but instead of going down the standard Birdramon or Aquilamon lines they go with say Xiquemon. Or they could just give said Digimon multiple branches so you could get the best of both worlds, the nostalgic and the new.
Looking forward for this, if it is anything like Cyber Sleuth. And yeah Digimon VERY rarely follows previous ones chronologically. Imagine Plutomon and Jupitermon merging into Kronusmon.
If the gameplay regained some of the roots it has in Dawn and Dusk, namely that by digivolving and reverting at the right times that you could build a digimon's stats, then I would love to play it, as I am one of the few people that enjoys the grind. I would also enjoy it if my favorite digimon, Aegisdramon, actually made it into the game
I’m still sad that Habu is no longer working on it, but hopefully we hear news soon. It taking place more in the Digital World makes me happy, it feels like it’s been some time since we’ve been there proper, and seeing the Homeros server will be neat.
If this game does well when it ever comes out totally love see other games in future focus on other digimon group's/factions like seven demon lords,the bancho's and the legends-arms
6:16 It's worth noting that _not a single Digimon game has actually ever had every digimon in existence at the time_ to begin with. And I'm certainly not holding my breath for Tinmon to return beyond that background cameo in the DCG BT2-055 ToyAgumon card art at this point, even if Rockmon (not to be confused with Golemon) was in the Digimon Adventure reboot.
I absolutely love the Cyber Sleuth games. If the battle and evolution system is the same in the new game, I'll get Firamon, Lekismon and Aegiomon as soon as possible ingame and use them as main team members throughout my playthrough.
I remember how mad some people were that we weren't getting more news for Survive. Like a new screenshot, some info on a new character, then complete silence for months and months. Some had just gave up on it because it either took too long, or there wasn't enough communication. And in the ned, we finally got the game, annouced 3 months before release. Let's be hopeful about this one too. I prefer not having news but knowing the game is still in development enough time to be good, than having it rushed to prove people it actually exists. And like... people really say this game isn't real? Can't they just do a 5 second google search before saying you're making stuff up? Or be up to date?
I remain simple: So long as I can have Wizardmon, I am happy with the digimon in the game lol. So glad that there will be another Digimon Story title. I doubt they'll take this route now, but I would love to have this one localized in English with the option for English voices. Sometimes, relying on the wall of text (that isn't even checked for syntax errors or spelling in a professional game) is difficult. I loved Cybersleuth, but there were some glaring errors in the English text. Next Order did better, but also had the option of English voices. Regardless, this is the best video game news I've had in ages. Thank you Karn!
Not sure how I ended up on the Digimon side of RUclips but v happy about it. Old school (or just old?) fan here who watched the series up to Tamers when I was a kid. What games do fans recommend games for me, or shall I wait for this one?
@Karn_EX the durability and flexibility is actually insane. The sheer fact that it not only survived being crushed underfoot accidentally, folding one edge onto itself. But was able to be bent back to normal without so much as a crack is absolutely amazing.
My favorite diginon games are digimon world ds and digimon world dusk and dawn. Those games are amazing. Hope somethingike that comes out again someday

The wait is killing me on the inside xD. I admit I will always be a Royal Knight guy (One reason I hate myself for not playing Cyber Sleuth) but I am hella hyped for what they will do for the Olympos XII in the spotlight
I really want a port or remake of Sunburst and Moonlight....maybe with some new digimon and less frustrating/redesigned dungeons. They're my favorite games because of how you can make epically powerful digimon with any moves you want.
Interesting video. I hope it be multiplatform so that more people can get to play it. On Nintendo switch version ( s) would be nice for the reason it be easier to bring along compared to the bigger consoles( like ps4, etc) in the past I used to be often in my room all alone while playing on PlayStation consoles, but with the portable ones i was more active around and i could just bring the portable in other places where family was and you get atleast more options when something is portable ( like for example if someone feels lonely they can bring the console to where others are and when feels like " i prefer to now play alone for a while " you get then the choice to bring it to your room) Some other things i hope for is it to have voices ( original Japanese with international subtitles) like in Cyber sleuth. And some kind of fresh new feel that isn't too repetitive
I'm really hoping that theyll give us a usable Gracenovamon jogress if its gonna be centered around the olympos xii; mastemon was a staple on my CS team, and half my team were jogress in HM. Also, it looks soooooo f'ing cool😅😅😅
With Homeros being the equivalent to Yggdrasil I'm guessing that the title will be Digimon Story: Odyssey or Digimon Story: Illiad. I'm so excited for this game.

I hope it's called Digimon Story Odyssey. And that most of the Digimon are ones that haven't been in any Digimon game.

And I'm certainly not holding my breath for Tinmon to return beyond that background cameo in the DCG BT2-055 ToyAgumon card art at this point, even if Rockmon (not to be confused with Golemon) was in the Digimon Adventure reboot.

I absolutely love the Cyber Sleuth games. If the battle and evolution system is the same in the new game, I'll get Firamon, Lekismon and Aegiomon as soon as possible ingame and use them as main team members throughout my playthrough.
I would love a story that the Olympus 12 fought the other gods like the Aztec ones talcmon or the Egyptian gods like pharomon or anubismon.

So glad we'll be in the digital world. That was my biggest disappointment with the cybersleuth stories.
I remember how mad some people were that we weren't getting more news for Survive. Like a new screenshot, some info on a new character, then complete silence for months and months. Some had just gave up on it because it either took too long, or there wasn't enough communication. And in the ned, we finally got the game, annouced 3 months before release. Let's be hopeful about this one too. I prefer not having news but knowing the game is still in development enough time to be good, than having it rushed to prove people it actually exists. And like... people really say this game isn't real? Can't they just do a 5 second google search before saying you're making stuff up? Or be up to date?
I remain simple: So long as I can have Wizardmon, I am happy with the digimon in the game lol. So glad that there will be another Digimon Story title. I doubt they'll take this route now, but I would love to have this one localized in English with the option for English voices. Sometimes, relying on the wall of text (that isn't even checked for syntax errors or spelling in a professional game) is difficult. I loved Cybersleuth, but there were some glaring errors in the English text. Next Order did better, but also had the option of English voices. Regardless, this is the best video game news I've had in ages. Thank you Karn!
Not sure how I ended up on the Digimon side of RUclips but v happy about it. Old school (or just old?) fan here who watched the series up to Tamers when I was a kid.

@Karn_EX the durability and flexibility is actually insane. The sheer fact that it not only survived being crushed underfoot accidentally, folding one edge onto itself. But was able to be bent back to normal without so much as a crack is absolutely amazing.
Digimon Story games are, mechanically speaking, my favourite kind of Digimon games. So it's nice to see there's gonna be more.
My favorite diginon games are digimon world ds and digimon world dusk and dawn. Those games are amazing. Hope somethingike that comes out again someday

I recently got into digimon via my buddy. I finished Cyber Sleuth and Survive recently so excited for a new game.
Hope after this one we get a sequel to Survive
I really hope so too but with Habu gone I'm just not sure :/

I really want a port or remake of Sunburst and Moonlight....maybe with some new digimon and less frustrating/redesigned dungeons. They're my favorite games because of how you can make epically powerful digimon with any moves you want.

On Nintendo switch version ( s) would be nice for the reason it be easier to bring along compared to the bigger consoles( like ps4, etc) in the past I used to be often in my room all alone while playing on PlayStation consoles, but with the portable ones i was more active around and i could just bring the portable in other places where family was and you get atleast more options when something is portable ( like for example if someone feels lonely they can bring the console to where others are and when feels like " i prefer to now play alone for a while " you get then the choice to bring it to your room)
Some other things i hope for is it to have voices ( original Japanese with international subtitles) like in Cyber sleuth.
And some kind of fresh new feel that isn't too repetitive

I'm really hoping that theyll give us a usable Gracenovamon jogress if its gonna be centered around the olympos xii; mastemon was a staple on my CS team, and half my team were jogress in HM. Also, it looks soooooo f'ing cool😅😅😅
With Homeros being the equivalent to Yggdrasil I'm guessing that the title will be Digimon Story: Odyssey or Digimon Story: Illiad. I'm so excited for this game.
I have the working theory that its gonna be like the "Pokemon Emerald" to Dusk and Dawn but a revamp with modern sensibilities and a new story but anyone's guess is as good as mine tbh
