I have nothing but admiration for actors, what they do is absolutely incredible. the way they can become a character created by someone else and convince me they're real is some kind of magic. And Sam does it better than almost all of them, i've loved him since the first time i saw him in the Green Mile. PS, can someone get Sam and Christian Bale in the same room and film them conversing, because that's a conversation that needs to happen.
He's such a versatile actor. He can do just about anything. Awesome that you guys got him in for an interview. He deserves much more attention. How he portrayed that child abuser and cold-blooded murderer in "The Green Mile" I just can't understand. It was horrifying and it must have been horrifying for him to play that. I truly hated him when I watched that. But when I watch "The Way Way Back" I love him. His character is such a good guy in that movie.
I saw Galaxy Quest just before I saw The Green Mile, and was astounded at the versatility and the quality he brought to both parts. I mean, he was the funniest guy in a movie in which everybody was funny, and then to see Wild Bill right after, just wow.
He was hilarious as Guy Fleegman in Galaxy Quest, but he really shined as an exceptionally talented actor in Jojo Rabbit. His performance was both over-the-top and understated. Amazing.

MrStensnask Moon and Seven Psychopaths were great roles as well.
His performance as Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2 made the film good.
