Haha. Just bought a Uke and was researching amps or pedals... here drops your video! JBL speakers riddle my apartment! I use em as a TV soundbar alternative (works terribly well for me and the small space) in the shower connected to my phone or if I'm in anotherroom while the phone charges. I just carry one with me. I easily have 5 JBLs. Couple of variants from the one you speak of and 3 exactly like the featured. This will be a great starter until I move into something better or not. Thanks for this solid idea! JBL speakers are surprisingly good cost ratio.
This is also a solution for my electric guitar. I use a small multieffect that support phones out connected to the aux in of the this very compact speaker, now I have a very portable setup of my guitar!
I've just tried to connect another bluetooth speaker (a jbl Tronsmart T6 Plus Upgraded) to a uke. It did connect but the sound was hardly audible, it couldn't amplify the uke. I assume the problem was not with the bluetooth speaker but maybe the electronics of the uke was too basic. What electonics do you need on your uke to be able to amplify it with a jbl go?
what is the cable like? mono or stereo? In a guitar shop, an assistant told me (when I tried an uke there with my jbl go 2 and my stereo jack cable, but it produced no sound at all) that the problem is that the uke needs mono cable but the jbl go 2 needs stereo. Is that correct? Or what is the typical bottleneck when the uke doesn't produce any sound with a jbl go 2?
what kind of devise would I need to connect a piezo pickup to the speaker?? sorry if the question is too basic, till now I never had the need to connect my uke to a speaker and I'm looking for the cheapest solution :)
I bought the speaker for work didn’t realize it’s value till now, thank you 🙏🏽
It's surprising for the price, isn't it?

nice video Simon Taylor. I shattered the thumbs up on your video. Continue to keep up the superior work.
Hello Simon, love this tip thank you ❤

Brilliant. Thx
Interesting. I have a jbl go 1, but when I plug in my piezo pickup it doesn’t produce any sound unfortunately
Does your piezo need a battery?
Does it work on a guitar
I bought this and the cable and tried it with my Luna and it doesn’t work
Thanks ❤John 3,16 ❤

I list the cable in the article linked from the video description. That should explain it.

If your uke is passive, you’d need a preamp unfortunately - another box.
Thanks for shraring. Just wondering, does it work for passive ukulele or guitar pickup?
I don’t think it would work for passive pickups.
