Sigh (2008) - Sam Taylor Johnson reviews

In de video-installatie Sigh van Sam Taylor-Johnson speelt het BBC Concert Orchestra een muziekstuk zonder instrumenten. De compositie is hiervoor speciaal door de Britse componist Anne Dudley geschreven. Het enige geluid dat de dirigent voortbrengt, is een zucht (sigh). Alle andere geluiden komen van het orkest - wanneer zij daadwerkelijk hun instrumenten zouden bespelen. Bezoekers delen hun reactie!
In Sam Taylor-Johnson’s video installation Sigh, the BBC Concert Orchestra plays a piece of music without instruments. The composition was specially written for this purpose by British composer Anne Dudley. The only sound produced by the conductor is a sigh.
