I've shot 28mm on my Tamron 28-75 f2.8 & Sigma 16-28 f2.8 but lugging around those heavier zooms is annoying. This sounds like a great and smaller option to get that focal length. Hope to see other third-party brands make more 28mm lenses. Great video Adrien!
Thanks man! yeah, that's always the problem with zoom lenses. Somehow 28mm is not very popular but trying this lens made me realized that it's really a decent prime lens choice
Great content, as always ! 24 and 28mm are growing on me recently, so versatile and that shallow depth of field on a wide angle that you talked about is something really unique. Are you using a VND for video ? If yes, which one ? Cheers :)
Awesome shots! This video made me decide to buy the lens😀 Would you say you could still use the lens in dusty environment (e.g the beach, but not close to water ofcourse)? Or would tiny bits of sand or similar make its way trough to the sensor? 😌
not exactly the same but you might be interested in the tamron 20-40 2.8. it doesn't open up quite as much but that range is pretty much perfect for street/travel and it's very light/weather sealed!
Sound like a very interesting lens indeed, especially for street and travel as you said. And it is pretty compact for a zoom. I still prefer having more versatility on the long end when using a zoom lens. I really don't take a lot of picture wider than 28mm. But I would love to try it one day ;)
I have this lens for the Nikon z5 and the videos come out really great when using the F1.8. Pictures are great too but i am loving the quality this glass produces for video. My plan is to upgrade to the Nikon zF. Been patiently waiting for a z5ii for years but given up. I want to be able to shoot in 4k with no crop. I just hope i can get used to the zF design and not complain about the lower grip. lol
man I really wish viltrox would send you the 13mm f1.4 x-mount... would love to see what you can whip up with that on your xe4 as well as your thoughts on the lens!!
Those shots are fantastic! I also love the 28mm shallow depth of field look from my Q2. Yet I also would love to have a 28mm on my Canon system with a stronger auto focus to more easily nail focus even at f1.8.
Some real keepers here. The shot of the electrical pole though, the wire management was absolutely insane.
Thanks, I honestly love a lot of the shots I got during this video, some of them are in my favorites of the past 6 months
I recently came back from a trip to Japan and now that I'm back to my normal work life, your videos really make my day. Hoping to go back in 2024!
Hope you had fun and glad if I can make you enjoy a little piece of Japan from home :)
Background music is on point👌🏼
Thanks!
I think your framing and pp that made those shots special 👍🏻
Ty for no ad ❤
The color grading and pictures are amazing ❤
Thanks :)
The photos in this video are lovely

Always enjoyable, thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for commenting as always ;)
i appreciate this channel because it shows what is possible with a lens/camera, not on a technical level, but on an artistic one. thank you.
Just bought it bigger and heavier than 40g but great for indoor portrait!!😊
