I'm married to a pediatric hospitalist and I would definitely NOT categorize myself as a saint. It is true that having a lot of patience and understanding is key but I've definitely had my moments of "being over" being a doctors wife- especially in the first 7 years of our marriage when we lived in a VERY small midwestern town where he was on call every other night. It got old. It can be rough being the spouse of a doctor but there are some perks, too. :) It all evens out, I think.
