Best verson of this song I've heard. None of the singers especially seem to be able to get their heads around it and do it justice. Stan Getz does a beautiful version as well.
@@objectivitycave11 He did not IMO.. it WAS an error, but he was a human, after all ;) Try to play something complex, and make no fluff.. he played many breathtaking pieces, without single mistake .. not that we can hear... But he was very critical about his takes.. thats why there is The Alternative Wes LP... picked up from different versions
I think there are some mistakes in the transcription of chords. At bars 56-120-188 is G diminished, bars 179-180 is Bb13 chord, and every F#7sus4 to me, sound more like an F#m11 .... Great job anyway! ;-)
It’s the relative minor. So it’s all the same notes as the C Major 7. He just transcribes it to the minor. But idk I’m not very adept with music theory. I just know it’s the relative minor to the major and that’s why it works
What Mads said. I think he's thinking of it as a Cmaj13, the A minor triad is just an extension of Cmaj13 (13, root, 3rd). After the minor triad he hits a D(9) which leads nicely to C in the F maj chord.

I didn't know Gibson made a guitar with a long neck like that
It’s not a baritone guitar, it’s just the video’s effect since it’s projected in half a screen
I want to see Mads play? Where can I see please?

Thank you so much man! Just one question, on the C major 7 at 2:06 does anyone know why hes playing an A minor 7 arpeggio over a C major 7 chord?
I would just think of it as playing a C major13:-)

@@jasonvargas4878 yeah! it works because the scale contains the same notes :D

Thanks,
