Uncle Buck style backfire! Gotta luv it! lol
The guy who created the Viggen HUD was I guess pretty drunk
I was expecting a bit more from the Mirage F1 considering it was against the ground attack version of the Viggen. I imagine the air to air version of the Viggen, the JA 37, would eat the F1 for breakfast. Especially the JA 37D which had upgraded avionics and AMRAAMs.
I love the Viggen. I heard that the Saab also made a variant with a different engine that solved the compressor stall issue. Can anyone confirm?
Correct, they made a fighter variant of the plane with an improved engine among many other things. The one GS is flying here is the ground attack variety of the plane
No engine is ever gonna fix that ugly...
@@tigerpjm I thought the Viggen was ugly at first too but it has grown on me.
Yeah, the fighter version (JA-37 ... opposed to this being the AJ-37) has an engine with less compressor stall issues, and more thrust, it also features a high velocity 30mm cannon below the fuselage opposed to the rather low vecloity ADEN gunpods the AJ has, and better missile armament (afaik up to 6 AMRAAM on later versions).

It's in the eye of the beholder!
The first time I saw one was actually a cardboard cut-out on the back of a cereal box when I was a kid. I thought it was as cool as all get-out.
The wings are the opposite! Cool!
But, yeah, to my eye it isn't very pretty. But then again, I think the MiG-21 is one of the coolest looking planes ever, so make of that what you will!
There is more than one version of the Viggen. They DID make and use a fighter version of the aircraft. This is just the strike version that is modeled
Never knew that about the viggen and spent funny as hell listening to him whining and banging lol !
"Hey, Ladies! Vould you lieke to see my gun pØds?!?"
It’s always a good day when Shotgun rides the yeet seat.

Hi GS, absolutely love you content. Just wanted to suggest a video where Su-30 MKI and Rafael face off against the J-16 and J-20.
The canard configuration of the contributes quite a bit to it's manueverability.
lol "oh that's why...we're on fire..." i said exact same thing aloud a millisecond before they did, hehe
Im a simple gal. I see Viggen, I click. what a lovely plane
Easy to mix up Viggen variantes... AJ 37 is indeed an strike fighter for ground roles, but the JA 37 is a fighter/interceptor. F1s on the other hand were built as interceptors (can't say more without know which variants were actually played...)
*sigh* If only they would include the JA 37D... or, better yet, the -DI version...
Another great video. The Viggen is one of my all-time-favorites.. Behind the F-14 (of course)
Swedish guy, grew up in Ireland... with a Scottish accent.
Would love to see the JA37 in DCS.
I think in the last round, you score a headshot in the Mirage´s pilot!
I actually figured that would be a better fight than it turned out to be.
