I posted it elsewhere in the comments, so to help engagement, I'll post it on the main thread as well:
I'm in Orange 1 with Jun, and I have a 42% win rate. I feel she is a strong character, but she's lacking the sort of scrub killing tools that make short work of early ranks.
I know because I played Zafina in T7 and got to Red ranks without even knowing how to properly punish.
I don't think I'll ever get to red with Jun, so this notion that she's autopilot is crazy and probably stems from people that don't play the character.
I see your perspective. In my opinion, I do think Jun can be a bit hard to pick up for beginners due to her having multiple stances and stuff. I also think that she does has some abusable tools though that can be effective against players who don’t know her, alongside of her also having great panic buttons like parry, can cans, and B3. Personally, all though I think it’s still a bit too early to tell, I think Jun can be a bit harder at higher levels to play due to the fact that she lacks powerful lows and you have to take risks with her (sacrificing health or high punishable moves).
This may sound cliché, but my best advice is to just keep practicing and watching other high level Jun players and pay attention to what they do. This is what helped me the most.

@TalonV9 I like her quite a bit, actually, and I feel more and more like I have to play a more honest game to win with her.
@@RicksStarzI'm going to keep working at it for sure. My biggest issue at this point is learning matchups and punishes. It's a long journey.

Jun is also one of my favorite mains. I think you just proved that she can be aggressively offensive as well as defensive.
Congratulations! Your gameplay is so clean I love it. What are your favorite wall enders now? I end up using df 1,2 into 1+2 or b2,1 MIA 2. Haven’t seen anything else consistent.

Excellent gameplay! I can confirm that she does indeed carry in this game because I got up all the way to raijin rank with her despite being a paul and dragunov main.
If you can't get raijin with dragunov question yourself he is most broken for sure ( I Maine dragunov since Tekken 7 )
@@LoonaKissLater I never said I didn't get raijin rank with dragunov( I'm currently bushin rank with him FYI). Dragunov received minor nerfs but he's still very OP.

Question, how long ago did you make this vid? Im asking because in the second match, that particular wall combo you executed was said to be nerfed

I don't like the term carried in this game because I feel even with the best character you still have to put in the work nonetheless, although Jun is really good , doesn't take away the fact that you are a solid player and put in the work . Good stuff always ❤
I’m working on jun as my main main at the moment but you are right. Practicing in the lab with Jun and learning matchup against other characters will surely help but I’ll still need to work for it
I say she does not cause you still gotta hit the lab learn the character and then you still have to learn the match up of lile 20 different characters if not more so like as much as people say she is brain dead sure she maybe easier than other characters, it still doesnt change the fact that you have to put in work with her like any other character
Jun is ez to use but takes skill to master but overall has a very accessible ms that can easily dominate off of just fundamentals alone if played right. She's a strong character for a reason lol.

I thought they nerfed the wall ender with the ff3 start and 1+2 finish. Or is it because the 1+2 is delayed and they are waking up into it?

She does NOT carry/ she’s one of the hardest characters to win with, they said akuma (my only t7 main) carried & look where they got knee, 3-0d. If it was easy everyone would use her. Stop that narrative yall, really. But great fights rick!!

@@thefractalcactus A friend of mine with no experience on tekken (plays mostly mk) picked her up and immediately went to ranked and is currently 19 and 1, the crazy part to me is i after a few games he was doing full combos with perfect execution.
@@thefractalcactus Just because you have a poor record in ranked means nothing. Ez execution,Ez damage, ez launchers, best 10F punisher, good reach good mixups, Stance parries, good tracking on important moves i can go on and on and on
Why don't you parry more? They can't chicken in this game
lol idk I find my parries getting eaten up most of time. I know they nerfed parries all around in Tekken 8.

@@KaizAmari I wouldn't say they don't mean anything since at the end of the day tek is all about air combo's overall. But it's also true that fundamentals are just as important.
