Nicole Kidman isn’t natural- she’s had so much facial plastic surgery. 🫣
But Nicole Kidman isn’t one of them. She may be happy being 57 with her tons of plastic surgery, and good for her, but body positivity is about accepting your wrinkles, not erasing them. It’s weird to hold her up as an example in this context. Annette Benning or Jodie Foster are much better examples of body positivity.

As I aged, I became more comfortable in my skin, feel younger and couldn't careless with others opinion. In life we can learn to accept our own less than perfect.
The reason why older women are saying I don't care what you think what you say or what i look like is because they have lived long enough to know - it really doesn't matter. They know that it can start defying gravity and then lose that fight. It happens to Everyone.
Personal rant: Body positivity does not mean you should sit back and condone obesity and an unhealthy lifestyle. People push to make it so no one criticizes anyone's body but when someone is unhealthy via obesity ou should speak up. Obesity causes an increase in insurance rates, prescription costs, outpatient and inpatient costs, and even the invention and construction of larger sized MRI machines and other equipment. And how are these additional costs passed onto and who is going to pay for these increases? Companies who have health insurance for their employees and their employees via insurance rates, and even through every taxpayer who pays in for the federal Medicare system. By 2030 obesity could increase in the US by 40% or more and with it the already expensive healthcare systems.

@@lexaneli That’s my point. They are also human beings which is why we should treat them that way. Plus there is the added stress of living your ice in a fishbowl. I don’t care how much money you have, that added pressure is very hard and beings another level of jealousy and cruelty. We should treat everyone the same way and a healthy person will be inspired by someone who has achieved success with their talent - not try to put them in too high a pedestal or tear them down.

A young body is a young body, an old body is an old body. Period. How you FEEL doesn't change that.
Except that it does, you can have a 20 yr old miserable with a bunch of self destructive behavior due to there insecurities & you can have a 60 yr old who is happy & content with themselves no matter what society is trying to brainwash them to believe & the aggressive promotion of an ageist culture. How someone feels about themselves IS the point here. Everyone (lucky enough) will grow old eventually, people who overvalue youth will have the hardest time.

I think the reason why people come at the celebrities is not just because they don’t feel good about themselves, but because people are mad that they make millions of dollars (which not all celebs do by the way) live seemingly glamorous lives and they can’t have that so to make themselves feel better they come after them, and with social media, it’s easier than ever to come for celebrities and get away with it.
It’s because they feel bad about themselves.
Why else would they care?
Well... I lost my covid 30 and feel sexy again at 61.
There is nothing fun or funny about being fat.
I can bend over and tie my Nike sneakers and not cross my leg.
I can cross my leg again and it feels good.

Well, I don't care about celebrities per se, but I will say I'm in the best shape of my life at 48. It's never too late if you can, to get going. I found fitness two years before the pandemic, & haven't stopped yet. My gym is packed with elderly ppl in the early hrs. Live long & without pain is the real goal. The real shackles are sexism & the never ending race to fit these unrealistic body types that are usually based on influencers & famous ppl & the illusion of lighting & timing (like post workout toned up time) & mostly based on the bodies of 20+ yr olds. Forget that toxicity & focus on being healthy, simply moving, eating well, & keeping those joints lubricated with mobility. Also "Attraction" is objective, & is in reality much more than just meeting some strict criteria of what constitutes a "hot woman bod!" Health after a certain age should be your focus.
