"Everyone who’s seen the beast is dead." Kyle Crane: Hey guys I’m back from destroying 3 volatile nests. Also I just got this cool gold tier weapon from a random chest that I just found after killing a demolisher that massacred a group of survivors that I didn’t even help out at all.
*SIMPLE EXPLANATION* : Jonah is term for the specific poor survivors who foolishly lead volatile to the bases, as the red beard kept saying that I'm not Jonah and the blind man said that you will "recognize Jonah when they infect you with their bad luck", he said that Jonah has multiple faces.
First he got 3 of them killed by giving them a hand, second he got the whole survivors ripped to shreds by volatiles in a house, and now he's on the run trying to find some more people that he would lead them to their deaths.
I wish kyle crane was there, He would save them all T^T As you see in main game that you can see kyle crane countering volatiles attacks, I think they're no match for him.
Jonah: _known for luring volatiles into safe-zones._ A certain someone: _runs into safe-zones in the midst of level 4 chases._ We all know who the Jonah is.
The fact the Volatile ripped the man's head clean off with no resistance is terrifying. It has more strength than a goon yet the speed of a nightrunner.
Dude one of the missions in the VNC tower, Yiu get inside and there is a nest that you have to go through, and there’s like 2-3 of them. Luckily, they were only level 4 and I was level 7. I was able to fight them well with my golden upgraded weapons, along with mollies and stuff. I do advise stocking up on that stuff before doing that mission
Yep goes to show you that we have plot armor for gameplay purposes . We think “0h it’s easy just run” when we see other people dying but imagine if you were in real life running from a volatile you ain’t healing from shit one hit is bound to take a limb off and they’re actually smart and jump up to shit instead of being npc it’s safe to say that anybody who comes across one is fucked realistically, even with a grappling hook they have acid, you can’t do that volatile deflecting shit like the first game, even if we continue running to 4-6 story buildings, realistically those mfs sniff you out there’s no camping in an office building with no Uv light lmao
Like biters mfs are scared of voters but I’d prob be a little intimidated even if I knew I couldn’t turn one bite(depending where) can still hinder you for a good amount of time and especially if ur in a night chase. But that’s only if ur a protagonist who goes and does risky shit of chilling in the Uv zones like everyone else
I get the metaphors about the bearded guy but it’s way more interesting to imagine that it’s a volatile that uses humans as tools to hunt others. Like it spares the bearded guy on purpose and uses him to hunt other people. It also would still be in line with the idea that “Jonah has many faces” since it may not just follow one person.
Do note that the Volatile was able to kill them b/c both UV lights were deactivated. The outside one due to rotten luck and the second b/c Jonah bumped it over b/c he’s an idiot. It doesn’t really matter if he knows where survivors are if they have working UV lights.
It reminds me of how in Dead Space necromorphs use tricks like playing dead or making noises like baby cooing, crying, screaming etc to lure in unwary prey, gotta love mutant zombies
@@bigbadbob7070 I mean the bearded guy is clearly a very clumsy and kind dum person it so visually clear it know surprise the volatile that same smart and is clearly letting him go it know surprise inspecially howhe clearly a coward to it not that hard to have him break those lights like here with a little smart manipulation
From what I poorly interpreted from this, The Jonah is slang for that 1 player that just fucks everyone over unintentionally. New slang and the games not even out yet lol
"The Jonah" so everyone understands, is that one character in every book, film, game, story that seems to bring bad luck and just get others killed. For example the teenage boy in TellTale's The Walking Dead, we remember how he caused multiple people to die just by messing up or needing saving etc? Or that one guy who'll trip and blow the place up, or knock out the lights in a panic, or open the door and get the other twenty survivors killed who weren't planning to open the door. People who should never have survived the apocalypse but somehow keep doing so at the expense of others
So we have: Breken, who survived out of sheer skill and steel will during his night run, Kyle Crane who basically became a God of Harran and now we have a random bearded dude, who somehow survives every dangerous encounter at the cost of other people. He's probably irish
Actually 🤓. It may be because of the volatiles getting smarter. If you let one live. They go to other campsites. which means more prey to hunt. If this was true it would actually be scary because those mfs being smart would be a problem
Me: *crafts several hundred UV bars, legendary weapons, and has military health packs* You are correct, You don't own the nights, but I do. *stands atop 100 volatile corpses and laughs maniacally*
Interesting, this volatile seems very smart. He lets the man with the red beard run and lead him to other groups of survivors, I would believe it protects him from other zombies in some sick symbiosis. Edit: hi, I dident mean that the Jonah was the volatile, and honestly idk how ppl got that. But it was just a theory, I know the survivor is the Jonah I just figured this because the volatile very clearly lets the man go, marking said man as a Jonah. And thus letting the man lead it
you didnt get it, its not the volatile that is the "smart one" its all of them. Jonah is the Survivor bringing ruin to other people because they have very bad luck. It can happen to everyone, Jonah can be everyone. Even you can be a "Jonah". A Jonah is someone with bad luck in bad situation.
@@BestGamerAli am I wrong? Cause it seems to go that way, due to the fact that the storm (zombies and starvation) happened until they threw him out, just like the biblical story.

I think the violetile if I spelled it right is sparing him in some type of way so he can keep taking him to other safe areas basically being smart asf plus Johan is so clumsy and dumb that he made the uv light fall and got everyone killed
Imagine if Jonah is in this game. To give you a scenario. Imagine yourself in a bunker and outside you hear someone calling you for help. But when you let them in, bad things start to happen. Funny how my heart beat so fast when the Volatile chased me for the first time, but in end game I'm the one who's chasing them with my SSS tier Golden Weapons 😂
The part I love the most was near the end if you look at one of the windows you can see someone running but the volatile grabs them and kills them I just liked the animation there
best channel thanks ali for putting all this content up for me to watch, my friends and even my dad watch you for news on dying light 2 thanks man your the best
People always meme that Kyle Crane could kill volatiles easily, but leave out the part where he was a special forces operative who canonically had access to modern firearms and weapons/mods that would've been much more plentiful during the initial outbreak. Then Aiden in Dying Light 2 is supposedly semi-enchanced because he just juices with those GRE injections repeatedly (which just 1 injection alone is supposed to be enough to kill most people). So if you go by the logic that it takes being a literal augmented human or spending years being highly trained in the military and THEN still being exceptionally good at what you do, it makes a ton of sense as to why 99.9% of people just get absolutely slaughtered by volatiles.
Crane is also some sort of God with infinite stamina, a Batman style grappling hook launcher, and guns that can just shoot air at you with the force of a howitzer (modded guns with infinite ammo)
I wonder if we are going to see some volatiles with human consciousness like in the dying light DLC. Like maybe someone who is trying to cope with their new body.
I like the detail when the blind man told the story, the person they were saving has a red beard, then at the beginning the person has a red beard too, also the blind man just happened to be blinded by the volatile, i wonder what would happen if he wasn't blinded
"I prayed for your lord to be Jonah again" He was not blinded by accident or luck The volatiles wanted him to become one jonh (Detail: Notice how he has no hair and his beard is white, he could have been the Jonah)
I don't understand how people got the interpretation so utterly wrong. Jonah is the name for people who have "infectious" bad luck. Even if it is one or a handful of Volatiles that intentionally wound survivors and track them to more prey, their name is not "Jonah." Just replace the name Jonah with "bait" or "bad luck" and it'll make more sense to you. Like, Jonah as a Volatile doesn't make sense. Narrator immediately references sailors, and says that people hang themselves. If it was a Volatile, how tf do people have time to hang themselves? Shit can break down doors and keep up with Kyle Crane, no one's hanging themselves. They're getting eaten. "You'll only recognize the Jonah when they're already infected you with their bad luck" is a really awkward way to say "Jonah is a Volatile who rips out your organs." Most importantly... Volatiles don't have beards. The guy with the red beard was in half the video. Man literally said "I'm not Jonah" as if it was an accusation, when it would be pretty obvious it wasn't if he was talking about a Volatile.
I hope in the final game to be a NPC called Jonah, and you can tell him to go to some safe zone, and the next night if you go to that sage zone, everybody is gonna be death, and Jonah dissapeared, and you could do this with every safe zone, that will be awesome
johna is the volitile, he uses people as props to lour other survivers, the old guy said that sometimes its a child, sometimes its a women and sometimes its a man, the volitiles picks and chooses people and follows them to nearby safehouses then slaughters them, then lets its bait go and continues until its bait dies from eather hunger, dehidration, another zombie or johna kill them himself, then he finds another
wrong, its not the Volatile, its an alternate term for humans with bad luck. A Jinx, an unlucky Person and so on. Volatiles always follow you in the Night, its their time. You learn that from Dying Light if you ever played it
@@Gubbykahn i have played it and 100% it, and volitiles attack on sight, while this volitile followed a human it could have easly killed there and then, sure johna is a term of bad luck, however the fact of the mater is that the volitile is johna, becouse it use humans as bait, the volitile causes the bad luck, its only a theroy but i beleave it so
@@FlameofEulien like it said it just appears in the trailer like this but the Jonah is the Person with bad Luck that attracts Monsters to the Location of other Survivors. U even could see at 2:33 the Volatile got distracted by a thrown Brick (like in the first game wher eu could distract the Volatiles while being sneaky at night) then at 2:49 the Beep on the wristband alarms the Volatiles because it just happened that it goes of at that time cause of bad luck.... and to be clear about it at 3:26 the Storyteller even said: We must have Jonah here, find him and kill him. And he did not meant the Volatile he meant the red bearded Guy that begged for shelter before, paniced at the sight of a Volatile killing a Dude right at the Door and threw over the UC Lamp and made it break cause of bad luck wich made the Volatile free entrance to kill all in the House. A Jonah. The most dangerous monster of them all.
Holy Christ this is amazing!!! I hope they make more
I watched it back slowed down and the Volatile rips the guard in half, I really liked that
Ripped his head off
if you can't punch a volatile to death that is truly natural selection.
Funny how my heart beat so fast when the Volatile chased me for the first time, but in end game I'm the one who's chasing them with my SSS tier Golden Weapons 😂
The part I love the most was near the end if you look at one of the windows you can see someone running but the volatile grabs them and kills them I just liked the animation there
“And sometimes as a man with a red beard”
“QUICK KILL JONAH!!”
and on that night all male gingers went extinct.
That red beard leading more people to their deaths than the monsters
best channel thanks ali for putting all this content up for me to watch, my friends and even my dad watch you for news on dying light 2 thanks man your the best
To quote a certain parkor instructor
""THERE WERE KIDS IN THERE""
haha
"Everyone who's seen the beast is dead"
Aiden: *well shit.*
The animation is amazing! I can't wait for DL2!
I hope this is a weekly thing 😸
ikr its awesome
I wonder if we are going to see some volatiles with human consciousness like in the dying light DLC. Like maybe someone who is trying to cope with their new body.
that will be awesome
I new dlcs i hope
Nah maybe like a volatile that is aware of what it is and where it is but still wants to hunt
I would love a Dying Light 2 animated show that looks like this.
10 episodes long, single season, on Netflix.
I'd watch it.
I like the detail when the blind man told the story, the person they were saving has a red beard, then at the beginning the person has a red beard too, also the blind man just happened to be blinded by the volatile, i wonder what would happen if he wasn't blinded
"I prayed for your lord to be Jonah again"
He was not blinded by accident or luck
The volatiles wanted him to become one jonh
(Detail: Notice how he has no hair and his beard is white, he could have been the Jonah)
I don't understand how people got the interpretation so utterly wrong.
Jonah is the name for people who have "infectious" bad luck. Even if it is one or a handful of Volatiles that intentionally wound survivors and track them to more prey, their name is not "Jonah."
Just replace the name Jonah with "bait" or "bad luck" and it'll make more sense to you.
"You'll only recognize the Jonah when they're already infected you with their bad luck" is a really awkward way to say "Jonah is a Volatile who rips out your organs."
Most importantly...
Volatiles don't have beards. The guy with the red beard was in half the video. Man literally said "I'm not Jonah" as if it was an accusation, when it would be pretty obvious it wasn't if he was talking about a Volatile.
They’re metaphors.. and they’re talking about the human and the beard😂😂😂
Woah that was super well made, amazing!
And Aiden come from behind the volatile kills it in one hit and teabags it
Corpse Husband 👀
yeee yeee
o v e r r a t e d
You did a amazing job deepdaddy. I love it

@@bobtheturtle390 hmm wth do u mean huh?
Crazy how you can still hear them screeching and howling in the city in the background while they waited for daylight in the safehouse
They would've lived if they didn't let that guy in
yup
Also, they probably stood a chance at taking out that volatile... if only that bastard didn’t knock over the UV lamps
Every protagonist in every movie/video game ever.
I hope in the final game to be a NPC called Jonah, and you can tell him to go to some safe zone, and the next night if you go to that sage zone, everybody is gonna be death, and Jonah dissapeared, and you could do this with every safe zone, that will be awesome
Techland may use the Jonah like a btz type thing
We need a tv series of dying light
As soon as he started speaking I half expected to hear a speech about "The Bear and the Bull"
Got some Ulysses level story telling
Another reason to be absolutely terrified during night
yup
is no one gonna talk about how good this looks?
johna is the volitile, he uses people as props to lour other survivers, the old guy said that sometimes its a child, sometimes its a women and sometimes its a man, the volitiles picks and chooses people and follows them to nearby safehouses then slaughters them, then lets its bait go and continues until its bait dies from eather hunger, dehidration, another zombie or johna kill them himself, then he finds another
wrong, its not the Volatile, its an alternate term for humans with bad luck.
And to be honest, yeah the Volatiles are ALL smarter than normal infected Monsters...you would know that if you played the first Game :)
@@Gubbykahn I'm well aware, I'm just pointing out that the volatile was dilibretly stalking the guy and trapping survivers
And why do asking if I've played the first game, the second game takes place 15 (or 25 as I'm not sure) years after the first game, the virus in the first game did all it did within a month at lest, volatiles are smart, who's to say that, over these year's this volitile hasent learnt how to use humans as bait for other survivors
Why do so many people think that "Jonah" is the volatile? "Jonah" is a foolish survivor lmao
the jonah- you better run kyle crane- uno reverse card
I feel like we are going to be able to find this house in the game
a reference would be amazing
Wouldn't be surprised after they added the harran power mystery video location to the following
Jonahs was in Dying Light 1 too, mostly in Multiplayer Games, there is always one Person that just has bad luck in all he does, thats a Jonah
I didn't understand what separates Jonah from a normal volatile
@@yermoz oohhh that makes sense, thanks for explaining
@@swolwer maybe they keep him alive on purpose so he can find humans in hiding for them. It's not like violates can talk and they are good hunters so they use bait to lure their prey
Jonah is that unlucky guy
Exactly, just as Ali said, The Jonah is that extremely unlucky guy who no one would want in their team cause of the risks of getting the entire squad down.
In this video you'll see why kyle crane is so badass. Dude rushes to a volatile nest like its just a normal thing and even fight with them
RESPECT TO THE LEGEND!
🙇♂️
what does he mean we were young? Isn't zombie virus is there for about 15 years? Very cool animation and story but that doesn't add up :D Unless the story is from the future of the dying light universe I guess
Maybe being in 30's or 40's is considered Young
@@BestGamerAli bruh he doesn't even look that old in the ad, he's probably 40 right now, he seems like a grizzled man who's unable to keep himself fit because of being blind, so he was probably very young when he got attacked.
Imagine create anime in Dying light universe
Well, that was amazing
yup
It's actually scary now seeing that clumsy punching bag of a volatile actually killing people.
I wonder if we meet the Jonah in-game as an Easter egg?
I could imagine we get a quest about this Jonah concept
The Jonah is the new Larry
Hopefully we get to fight this Jonah. Maybe as a boss fight, or maybe by drowning it like the guy said. If I know zombies, it's that water is they're enemy. Just ask the volatiles from dl1
a reference to him in the game will be awesome
Jonah is the survivor that's gets all of the other survivors killed lmao he's not a zombie
The secondary characters in this game are so weak and weak, while the main character in solo is smashing such crowds
So basically the beast is like the creeper from Jeepers creepers sniffing you out follow you everywhere you go you can run but you can't hide that thing will find you eventually and become a part of him
Imagine being so trash at surviving, that a volatile decides “huh. I can use that.”
Corpse... nice touch
Kyle crane : sighs and calls a polish dude with long white hair and two swords on his back !
I love how his name is Jonah and the voice actor for Aiden is Jonah Scott
This reminds me of on I am legend on the dvd there was extra scenes in this comic book art and it was creepy af
damn, we need a netflix series for this just like arcane. please make it happen
Jonah hill: hey guys, i brought back food, ammo, and even some gas for the cars!
Everyone else: ......... *draws weapons
This is actually sick asf, no cap. The story is really interesting ngl
jonah be like: i want the pictures of parkour-man!!!
These stories could be good teasers for in game missions but techland is techland
Man ,.. the old dude accepted his death and the rest scared shttng their pants... Old dude knows a jonah...
I like how this makes the volitiles seem more intelligent
I think I saw a volatile just like that
The Jonah is a Bate, it reminds me 30 days of Night at the first scene vamps use a human to search for a place where people lives
Oh my god it's CORPS. I'm liking the video just because you're in it.
