They started as melodic death metal. They've become more mainstream but the bassist is still scary looking. They just did a live stream about a week ago. They are still all original members. In 2012 the rhythm guitarist started singing along with rhe lead vocalist.
Wow, I totally forgot about these ladies. Used to listen to them back when they were a bit heavier 10-12 years ago. Speaking of Visual Kei, have you listened Versailles at all? One of the pioneer bands in the genre and my all-time fav. I'd recommend "Ascendead Master" or "Aristocrat's Symphony" for starters.
I got to see these guys in Japan back in 2012. Their show was like nothing I'd ever experience coming from Australia. The way the audience engages with fan-created "dance moves" (for lack of a better word) to prominent parts of the songs. It was so fun. I nearly died when Jyou looked at me directly (as one of 2 white people in the audience). I think I must have stood out 😂
