I just bought my 1st home (and paid cash) 3 yrs ago… paid $52 000 including closing costs … 1400sqft 2story farm house with wall up attic and 13 acres of forested land … you can still find good deals … you just have to find them and be willing to move if needed ! I moved across the country to be able to have a home I own and not rent anymore !!! And I’m close to the ocean and you get the fresh ocean air in the breeze ! I just keep praying for what I want while I take what I can get … this is like a stepping stone … I’m hoping to fix it up a bit more and then sell ASAP and buy something else and the price I can sell for will give me money to buy a car and have money to live on for years
Good morning Danny and Wanda.. Its 50 here this morning in NE TENNESSEE.. Thankfully low humidity. Nice break.. My daddy left school early like a lot did. He was born 1916 . My husband and I got a trailer when we got married and we built a house as we got the money right behind our trailer. When we got part built 2 bedrooms, bath and we kitchen we lived in that for several years with 2 kids until we. could finish the front part with a dining room, living room another bedroom and bathroom. We lived out of our kitchen for several years and when friends came over we set at the kitchen table and enjoyed our selves. .God blessed us with a house we owed nothing on. But as life went on I had lots of medical problems and then came the first of 4 back surgeries and we had to borrow money on it. Our live was the reverse of normal. Husband is now 69 had to retire early in 2017 because of a car accident. I'm disabled and can't work. House won't be paid for until 2035 if God hasn't returned. But God has always provided. When I wondered where is the grocery money or bill money going to come from it always turned up. Daddy worked full time and preached 3 times a week. He didn't get a salary from the churches he pastored at & I've heard him tell many times how they wouldn't have money to buy groceries or get gas and they wouldn't tell anyone. Sometimes he would leave for work and when he opened the door there would be groceries sitting there or he would have enough gas to get to a church and didn't know if he'd even get back home when someone would come up after church and say God told me to give you this. We moved to the church he would pastor at from the time I was 9 in 1968 until he died at age 92 in 2008. We were never rich money wise but rich God wise. I wouldn't change anything. There's times like David we've had a little & times more. But I found out a long time ago God, family and friends are what is going to get you through. Rich always wants more.
Ive seen land sell for $150 an acre in southeast Colorado 20 years ago. It's mostly sandy soil there. I went to a banker and visited with him about purchasing some farm ground, had a 50% down payment, but he refused to help me. A month later his son bought that land. I tried it again a year later, on a different piece of land, same thing happened. Sometimes it's God's will to stop you from making a mistake.
I don't think you want that land. With the changing of the magnetic poles the West is going to be drier than it already is. Who knows you may have a message irrigation system figure it out. I'm just giving you an idea maybe why didn't work out.
Amen! My husband and I heard the call of God to move onto land, we had no idea how it would happen we lived in a small half a duplex in the city with no savings. We ended up selling our house for the exact same amount as we bought our 15 acre property! Definitely one blessing after another God truly made the way!
I started gardening when i was four and that fall, when the carrots had 4 inch diameter shoulders, i tried digging them out. The soil was pure clay, solid as a rock and there was no way that carrot was going to come out. I leaned on my shovel and sighed out my disappointment and the Lord laid it on my heart to 'fix the dirt'. I've been gardening ever since, fixing the dirt into beautiful nutritious soil and God has my harvest basket overflowing. 60 years later, I now teach what I know to any that ask. I don't know if it's a gift or a talent but it's what He wants for me. It's a little bit like planting seeds. Some have germinated and begun to grow.
Let's face it friend, we are not getting any younger. At 76, the lord had extended this life 6 years so far. Well, as believers, we can say, "Some day this life we live will seem like a dream, the life we dream of will be our reality."

My dream of property in the mountains of GA was nearly realized when I retired in 2018. I found the perfect location in the county I wanted to be in but my wife wanted to travel, and so we did for several years. She passed away this past January due to cancer. I am so glad I followed her dream. I wouldn't trade a second of the time we spent doing what brought her so much Joy. Now I'm seeking God's will for my life, not mine. "For I know the plans I have made for you".
Down here by Mexico the morning was blissfully cool yesterday. We are blessed by God with the ability to dream for a reason. God dreamed of us and created us. As we are manifesting so we honor our Ultimate source.❤👼Dream well, create well, live your dreams and practice gratefulness for the precious opportunities.
Sometimes the Lord puts a video message in our path to give us pause. I had never thought about my mindset when it comes to honoring others who have been blessed with prosperity (whether it be job, financially, etc.). The way that messaged worked my spirit? Oh man did it! My spirit told me to listen, and listen closely. Being thankful for another's prosperity and blessing them. Thank you, Danny, for the messages the Lord puts on your heart to bring to us. And this is why Porch Time is so important in the lessons we learn to broaden us as a people.
I have literally been stifled by dwelling on the mistakes I have made. But by you simply saying, “ I don’t sit and dwelling on the the mistakes have made, I move forward” literally quickened my spirit and my natural man. Thank you Bro. Danny. Those simple words have catapulted me into my seemingly unobtainable future. I praise God and I thank you.
We started our homesteading journey because the Holy Spirit was leading us to buy land and do it quickly. We found the perfect property and they denied our offer because of a contigency. I felt led to write the sellers a letter and we continued to pray for God's will. 2 weeks later, they accepted our offer out of nowhere. Our house was up for sale 6 hours later. We had multiple offers within 24 hours and 48 hours later we were under contract. We closed on both properties within 25 days. God is the only way that it all fell into place the way that it did. He has always provided. It came at a hefty price because of interest rates, but we are building our homestead one step at a time... trusting God to lead the way.
I do believe dreams can come true the good the bad & the ugly it's how we handle them is what's important. I'm not just talking about dreams of desire, but the dreams that are had while sleeping. I feel we are shown answers and warnings along with inspiration. I dreamed of my husband before we ever talked to each other. I woke with a smile and knew where life was going.
We had a cold front came through Sunday with dry air and low humidity. Woke up this morning temps in the upper 50's. Going to be low humidity all week long. The Lord is good.
Good 🌄 Danny, Tuesday am I Smoky mts Tn, today is 55* same as yesterday am, actually need a long-sleeved shirt, but really feels good after so much 90* s. I know youuns been like 10* higher. Just can't take heat like I used to. Be blessed 🙌
Wow, that story about the Dr hit home. Mike and I wanted to go on a foreign mission, long story short, we donated the funds we would have used to allow for others to go in our stead. Even though we wanted to go we realized our part of the mission was to help fund it. He puts us in the position He wants us if we listen and are obedient. Be blessed ❤️🌿
Temps dropped down in the 50's here in Central Virginia at night and made my Furnace come on two nights in a row. I Noticed my Hang around Hummingbirds have panicked and left so now all i see are passing thru Birds. So i got out the seed based birdhouses and will fill those up this week for the birds migrating South. And i still have Virginia Peanuts growing great so i have to keep waiting for my Peanut soup and pie party.
Your Father's statement was very wise! I we were aware of this & had been taught that it would have saved us a lot of pain & heartache through the years of our lifetime. Some would have taken heed & not" kept up with the Joneses "! Lots of us , many, have learned our lessons the hard way. Such is life. You are & have been such a blessing to so many people. There's a definition of materialism: a physical thing to solve a spiritual problem. We know that's not possible. So the attitude of materialism is not from God. Materialism is not the same as prosperity. God is absolutely good and gives us good things.

For the past several months I have been working with my two Aunts (80's 90's) who took out a reverse mortgage on a paid-off home they share. The son who talked them into the reverse mortgage has squandered it all and now they're both facing foreclosure on the house. I'm praying for an answer to get them out of this mess. The interest on the home has now tripled making it impossible to pay off. Please pray I can find the best solution to help them, we need wisdom beyond what we have within ourselves.
Yes, Danny people have dreams. But, they get themselves in trouble wanting everything Mom and Dad and friends have that they have worked for for years. Therefore they get themselves in trouble. They need to wait and let God lead them . If you wait and think about it you realize this is not what I need. As far as land , my husband and I moved from another state to Tn. And we had a wonderful deacon at our church took us under his wing and offered us property that was perfect for us to build on. It turned out to be a beautiful place and we were very thankful for it. That message about the price of land reminded me - I lived in western North Carolina some 20+ years ago, and was disgusted that you couldn't find decent land for under $2K/acre. What a difference a decade or two makes! But the Lord has blessed me, and while Nebraska isn't "mountains" (which I love), all other things are as good as I could have asked for, and better than I deserve!
Our hummingbirds leave here in n. Idaho just after the middle of August. And Robins not long after. I wondered if Robins flocked up like geese when they head south and now I know they do thanks to you!

A dear friend of mine shared a piece of wisdom for my life from here on out: "Always have something to look forward to." Other things in my life have changed, and I had plans for those changes even before my husband had been diagnosed with stage 4 and passed into glory. I've been a dreamer from the get-go, and I am now looking so forward to fulfilling more of those dreams, according to God's will for my life. God is good all the time! Thank you!!

That's easy to see through, bankers son already had his eye on the property! And to think you had 50% down? Most bankers aren't honest!
