I keep my 23 in my truck. It's come in handy lots of times. I personally don't mind the user interface mainly because I daily carry a Sofirn sc21 so I'm familiar with all the settings.

There will be a version of the pro coming out soon that addresses a few of the ui problems, such as the light turning on when the dial's turned, and nearby magnets turning the light on

i think I prefer the IF23, bigger battery, more lumens, the powerbank function is awesome. Also id rather have a sidelight rgb beacon than the modes featured, although the police one looked cool. Flashing red sidelight actually has practical use and you dont get that mode on the IF24....

Hi, on the if24 you can set the RGB mode to red (or any colour), then double press the power button, and the light will flash red. As for the power bank feature, I've never used it on the if23, if I'm out all day I carry a dedicated power bank, I wouldn't want to be in a situation where I really need the flashlight but I've drained it charging my phone. But we're all different I guess.

@@kam0999 thats good about the RGB being able to be set to red, but id still prefer the luemns and batetry capacity, i carry my IF23 on my belt, so the battery bank is only an emrgency feature when im out, one less thing to carry, ive never had to recharge my torch when im out, but sometimes just a bit of power needed for my phone, just seems odd to remove features....

23 had a pretty bad UI. I’m glad they came up with a better UI

I was going to buy this IF24 (the PRO variant), but was put off by one aspect of the UI:
The rotary switch automatically switches the selected function ON. Meaning you have to navigate past all the in-between functions in the ON state to get to the one you actually want.
Hopefully this is updated so that it always remains OFF whilst turning the navigation switch, until the centre button is pressed.
JETBeam seams to have learned this very lesson with their E26 model currently on Kickstarter, which uses a similar interface. On that model, fortunately the light is not switched on when just the rotary dial is turned, but also requires the centre button to be pressed once the mode selection is made.

For the if23 you just double click the button from off for side light. Triple click for RGB sidelight
