How this didn’t get a remake is beyond me. Titan mode is by far the best game mode of all time.

OMG, one of my favorite BF games of all time.
Not that I believe they're competent enough to do a good job or the games justice but I'd like to see DICE remaster this and Bf2 in Frostbite or some other modern engine, never played 2142 and only played Bf2 very briefly somewhere around 2016, thought B2K for Bf3 was great.
By "remaster", it's actually a "remake". :)
Maybe when they figure out how much money they are missing out on.
2142 was the first game I ever preordered. I still have the dog tag usb that had some desktop wallpapers on it.
I remember getting extremely hyped for 2042 when I first heard about it, automatically assuming it was a 2142 remake because the titles are so similar. Then, once I realized it wasn't, I was pissed because a remake of this game would be incredible. Now, I'm extremely grateful that's not what we got, because if they fucked up a 2142 remake that bad we'd be screwed.
So much better than the modern equivalents, not just being nostalgic.. the team play works so much better in 2142. Most new games are just fancy graphics and poor gameplay its just spawn die spawn die die die... boring..

Naah EA too busy ruining the franchise and losing money. Maybe when they pull their heads out of their asses and realize how much money they are losing out on.

Such a beautiful and bleak game. The gameplay, environment, vibe and sound design were the pentacle of gameplay.
Never bought the game but I remember playing the demo non-stop.
How do you guys still play it? I was playing until a couple years ago when EA made them shut down. It´ll suck to grind again to unlock the weapons, but I miss playing it.

how are you playing all these classic games? do you need old cd keys etc? don't know why EA don't just support them still on EA origins, they'd have loads of old school gamers paying the £20 a year subscription
Seqrch them... project revive and reclamation where and are on the go. Also anythinnold enough to be abandonware can usually be downloaded for free legally just run the cd image in a virtual drive if you can get the image for some older ones. Moh allied assault and delta force games are available like that.

Revive was shutdown by EA last I knew, so far Reclamation is still up.

BF2142: futuristic, badass-looking weapons, guns, warfare equipment.
BF2042: only modern guns, with some exceptions.
Yet I have to admit - railtank in BF2042 looks and sounds awesome. But the rest of infantry weapons - looks kinda lame.
I love Moretti SR4 on EU side, and Zeller's SR on PAK ones. Also, SCAR-11 looks good as well. Some weapons in BF2142 sound and look really good, I'd say even satisfying.
I'd be happy to play this all weekend. The only thing I don't like is the voices. Which wasn't too bad this round. Everything else is cool. Whereas I don't like anything about the new Battlefield. Which is why I'll never ever play it.
Do you need a cracked version to play this? If you do, I'm staying away even though I loved this game. I don't want my passwords and credit card numbers to be sent to the author of the crack or something similar.
