I've been going to Bognor for years and seen all the changes. We last went in July and had a great time, our Gold apartment was roomy and clean. I've stayed in the Wave and Ocean Hotels, my son has stayed in the Shoreline, and can't fault any of them. If you use the food court for your dining, years of experience has taught me to get bread and boiled eggs bacon etc to make sandwiches for your lunch, and take a drink bottle to fill up on juice. Also take a spoon fork knife in your bag, always good if you need a plan B. You just got unlucky with the ice cream machine, never had a problem with it. They are slowly taking away the amount of free things to do, but still a wonderful holiday and have very fond memories of my childhood and beyond. A very informative post. I am hoping to go when the escape room area is open, but will need to save a bit more spending money. 😊
I'm looking forward to staying in the hotel next year my son is exposed for the bunk beds. That's a great tip to take extra cutlery in my bag I will make sure I do that next time. I do think we just got unlucky this time hoping for a better experience next time. I didn't realise they were taking away the free things slowly will take advantage of them whilst we can. I am looking forward to the play experience in May should be fun. Hope you get to experience it soon too xx
We like buttlins at Skegness everything is always spot on the cleanliness the meals the restaurants I’m disabled so the catered for me this year we’re going to ingoldmells
I am just wondering do you think you would have eaten the value of the food would you not have been better self catering and then treating yourself to a couples of meals at the restaurants on site or even gone for a takeaway into the town next to the camp . I know as a adult i wouldnt eat 30 pounds worth of food per day . I just think that self catering works out cheaper and then ypu can spend more on the activites that are not included . Although i guess it was a treat for you not having to cook or worry about it . I am so fussy and dont eat a wide variety or very much so i find the food issue really overwheling.px
I don't think I do eat tbe value of the food as I am a fussy eater, I also don't have takeaway food either such as burger king or fish and chips therefore the premium dining is more for convenience rather than cooking we can enjoy our time grab some food and go back to the holiday without tbe prep, cooking and cleaning up. But it probably would be cheaper to self cater xx
My daughter goes abroad all inclusive to lovely places for less. If you grab a last minute deal, you could take your boy away for less. ❤from Geordieland
