Hey kieno I don’t know if you still
Maintain the channel but just wanted to tell you that as a former teacher myself, you have a real gift of explaining and teaching. Your videos have been very helpful and hopefully you’re doing well.

On the soldier and the barrel problem, first you multipr 300lbs.2inch and then divide 600lbs /8ft(aren't supposed to convert ft in to inch)

If you make the 2 inches 2 feet the math seems to check out. I think he mistakenly used inches.

Hello Kieno Thomas. thanks for the video. i was wondering, how would the m.a change if the little brother where to jump from X distance onto the effort arm? i remember there was a question in the PICAT that used that information. any help is greatly appreciated. thank you!

Miguel Magana well for one he would have the downward force of gravity on his side so mass * 9.81m/s^2 * distance
That would be a good place to start. This deals with potential energy, if it were kinetic energy (.5 * m * v^2)

in the video at 11.22 isnt the weight at 4 inches 240 lbs not 210. 840 is for 14 inches, 1 inches is worth 60lbs, 4 times 60 is 240lbs
