I love the way he builds his sound...he's an Erector Set of Music and one of the unsung MasterMinds out there! Been listening to him since Day 1 and he will always be on my short list as one of the best!
So much heart and soul. . .this where the computer world should be heading. . .great stuff! Always a big fan of Mr. Dolby. love the video screen that flows with the music and the mix of it with the live shots. Nice!
1994, i was 13. I road my bike in March of that year to buy my forst album with my own money. It was Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral. I listened to nothing else. Learning to play guitar very well and learning to love bands like Rush, YES, Floyd etc.. i was 15 and came across a vhs tape at a cd store with only brand new items like best buy. I bought it for the cover art and figured i could expand my mind with it while on Marijuana such as Tommy by the Who, Pink Flod the Wall movie, 2001 a space Odyssey etc. It was called The Gate to the Mind's Eye (1994). Little did i know that it would have the most profound affect over all the others do to the timing of discovering it at that moment in my life. When it said music by Thomas Dolby, i had to find out he was and deep dive his work. Since i was born in 1982 and my brother was 12 already, mtv was on constantly. I was stunned to find out he was the one that did She Blinded Me With Science. Thats when i was really becoming educated that the true gems of the art world are hidden and u must seek them out without judging them from one song especially one hit wonder mtv songs. Thanks yo all who read this. Im going to record some of my own songs right now.
really defines that kinda street-walking sound that a lotta genres have. plus, the synths in this one got that kickass sega genesis sound to 'em, extra enjoyable!
Fantastic - thanks for this! Is there ANY chance that Mr.T is coming to the UK? I've not seen him live since 1983 at Loughborough University. I'm still stuck here - but he never came back again!

This is a penultimate achievement for Dolby, a perfect song and an almost perfect live performance of it.

I'm curious as to what you mean by that statement. Surely you're not implying that Mr. Dolby is racist!
@DesignIntervention That was a reply to another poster who was spouting all kinds of racist garbage here. It has absolutely nothing to do with TD.
Ok, you are out of your mind. Go away.
