My rules for scav runs: 1. My scav karma is inviolate. So I will not fire unless I am hit, I am 100% certain it's a PMC, or I saw them make a kill. In fact, I will often take out my knife to avoid accidentally killing a friendly scav. 2. My scav is expendable. Thus dying to a traitor scav or PMC is better than losing scav karma. However, if I don't have any quest items I may decide to run towards gunfire in hope of getting a kill. (OTOH, as you point out, it's often better to leave with good loot rather than risking it for better loot.) 3. When doing a loot run, unless you're desperate for cash, drop any damaged or low value gear you spawn with. Being light means you will run faster for longer & move quieter. 4. Scav in moderation. While scav runs are zero cost and a great way to find FiR items for quests & bulk up your bankroll, you also aren't improving your PMC. You can do loot runs with your PMC too. 5. If you can, wait to examine unknown items until they are in your stash so your PMC gets the EXP. I also don't examine keys until they are in my stash so I know which keys I have found already.
I’ve been playing for long enough to know this and I still get greedy lol. Had an interchange run and got around 150k+ of stuff in stashes. Decided to be greedy and loot goshan. Pmc got me on the ramp lol.
No, u can be that greedy as you want with scav runs, that why they are in the game, to get all the loot, like a Rat in some trash. If u get killed, wait 25 mins, no big deal. Dont understand this video, scav runs are so easy.
I literally just threw away a perfect scav last night. An air drop came in with less then 20 minutes left in raid and I was like ehh I'm just a scav who cares. Mid search of the air drop a graphics card popped up. I should have grabbed it and left but I searched the whole thing. Moved stuff around in my inventory, made room for a bigger back pack. Grabbed light bulbs to tuck in my rig... and then started getting sniped by a PMC with BT's. Had I took the obvious win and just scooted with the graphics card I would have been fine. But my greed for random 8-20k ruble junk get my scav killed with a whole ass graphics card in his vest.
I just scav on factory, loot all the weapon boxes and med spawns around Gate 0. In and out in 5 minutes, 200k+ each run, no muss no fuss. More than enough to fund early wipe PMC raids
I've been exclusively doing scav runs on woods for the last 2 wipe's its extremely underrated. People seem to either have a grudge with the map, only there for tasking or just don't know where the rare spawns are. I average around 250k - 300k a scav run pretty easily as well as the large amounts of stash's the map has is always a bonus and can get lucky! (To be clear I don't only scav i mainly pmc but this is my go to if in need of some extra roubles!)
@@McShag420 im running a high end and cpu 32gb of ram and a rtx 3090 and it runs like dog shit for me, Its literally server side as there is a memory leak currently and its under optimised on thier end which always happens with new maps. Im just waiting for them to sort ot out before I start playing streets properly. Nothing more annoying than loosing a gun fight sue to stutters or lag.
I agree with a lot in this video. The one thing I would note from personal experience for cash running is the speed of your scav runs: It is definitely biased from someone like me who prefers Reserve, Factory and sometimes Shoreline but the faster you get out of the raid full of loot will just about always beat you spending a lot of time trying to go to the good spots as a scav. It makes sense to hit say GPU spots for Farming part 4, but if you are really struggling for cash you can make an easy 200 up to 300k on Factory. Speed equals more scav runs equals profit equals scav rep, repeat ad nauseum for 3-6.0 fence rep
as with scav and as pmc, surviving makes money regardless of what you have you will gain more out of surviving than any amount of value of loot on your person
The best scav will scav after every pmc raid and will load up on all the loot. Know the prices and what you need in hideout and loot for those goods. Some maps it’s almost a guarantee to find a full bag hideout goods
I Play very cautious as a Scav, and I always try to avoid combat and I focus on looting. I take a fight every now and then but only when I‘m sure that I will win. My main focus as a Scav is survival and making money. This gave me a survival rate of currently 82% as a Scav, however, I have the tendency to play very aggressive and reckless as a PMC unless I‘m sniping. My current PMC Survival rate is 36%, but thanks to my profitable Scav Runs I always have enough money, even for expensive gear.
Also, if you get your Fence rep high enough (4+), you can do scav runs every few minutes with good gear and your Moonshine/IntelFolder Scav Case loop takes less then 2 hours. Those rep buffs add up like crazy.
As a new player, my major problem with EFT is that PMC spawns are not random in the map. Experienced players know where others spawn, and all they have to do is wait for you to cross the road/bridge/wall/corner. I find deeply unsatisfying that I have to die 25+ times fully geared in every single map, just to do a simple mission. This is why new players have gear fear... it doesn't matter whether you are fully geared or carrying just a pistol with 8 bullets. You always die within a minute from a freaking prick who is waiting in the corner for your spawn.
A good way around that problem that doesn't require a massive amount of knowledge is to give the other players some time to move around. You do lose some of that early raid info on where some people might be and you might get surprised later on but at least you do avoid that specific issue. Don't stay exactly where you spawn, move slowly, try to take unexpected paths when possible and loot around. While you do that, others will get into fights and their priority won't be you anymore. Plus some of them will die which means less people waiting for you. The ones who are still alive will have potentially damaged armor, less ammo/nades/heals etc and will be less enclined to engage you unless you give them an easy opportunity. It's not the best way to deal with that problem, but it's a decent solution while you learn the spawns.
I believe the best way to get over this (A little luck is involved, if ya get Tarkov'd, ya get Tarkov'd) is to respect the areas you spawn near. For instance, if I spawn near Scav Checkpoint; I can't logically believe I am going to be the first person to Dorms, on Customs. If I go to Dorms from there, I need to expect a fight. However, if I initially stick to the area I have spawned in, and clear it of loot, I can let the other's who spawned near Dorms duke it out, and I can come in later. You'll also catch anyone sprinting from their spawn area to your spawn area. Also, just scav a lot. Learn cache locations, and only loot the caches as a Scav. Most people don't check Caches so, you can usually nab a few 100k each scav run. But, ultimately, I do agree the beginning experience is a bit too harsh and there is just WAYYYYY too much downtime in Tarkov. Taking 10 mins to build a kit, another 10 to 15 waiting in queue, just to die in a 5 minute raid, is absolutely absurd.
My fellow greek, this is my 3rd wipe and I still kind of struggle with this but I got better. My tips would be just wait in your spawn area for a few minutes and let people run off. Also have a map from the internet which shows the PMC spawns. You will at least now where people might come from.
I think the other thing is people don't prioritize when they are scaving: you are either there to make money, no-cost PMC hunt, or find that one in-raid item without worrying about getting head-eyes by the first person you see. If you don't have a clear goal/target, it becomes harder to manage risk vs. reward when making decisions
My buddies are pretty green with this game. They're on their 2nd wipe and Im on my 6th. Personally speaking, I never scav because I would rather lvl my endurance and strength than make a couple hundred thousand rubles and I just buy what I need for my hideout on the flea. That being said when I do watch them make a scav run as a group the big mistake I see them make is they load in together but they don't scav together. They're all so obsessed with the loot that they actually argue about who gets what and demand that everyone stream so they can see what everyone is getting and they race to lootable containers to the detriment of the whole team. It's like crackheads fighting over a rock, lol. Then they yell at each other and go their seperate ways. And each and every time they get picked off by a group of pmcs. None of them end up extracting. When I point out their mistakes they snap at me and tell me to stfu. So now I just sit out their scav runs and get the popcorn. It's hilarious but totally fixable. Also, they've gotten so used to playing like that they are now doing it during pmc runs. Splitting up? And don't get me started with "dude! Stop shooting! That's me!"
@@calopsita4465 it's a father and son🤣. They absolutely love each other. But they're both rats in Tarkov and love opening boxes and bags and hiding under stair cases while eating a package of crackers 😂
I scav nearly exclusively on woods. Stash spots, the sheer amount of NPC scavs, and good spots for loot has lead me to an overabundance of backpacks, rigs, guns, and money that I can now invest into hideout and stuff to do the annoying quests. Plus it's nice to strike it lucky and gang up on a pmc with other scavs. Not to mention nearly every scav I met as a scav on woods was super helpful with any questions I had with the game
loot on your back and the hidden caches on way to extract = big profit with 90%+ sur rate, also you die to less "rats" on large maps if you know where hidden caches are, the amount of kills I get looking through bag on cache and hear people rolling up or times I've died to a "rat" then later realise he was on a cache and had i known it was there i would of seen him. Also to support his point more then once this wipe i have run into fellow player scavs doing the gun crates above fob and i went to hit caches and they went to fob for me to just hear a bunch of shots from fob.
first time rolling in money, after playing warthunder for so long and spotting targets, it has made it easy for me to spot targets on tarkov. headshots are hitting like crazy and this is the first time im in the groove on this game.
if you are scavving any map other than factory, you are doing it wrong just run right to exfil and sell your loadout to vendors-this resets the timer and you can go again ASAP, 50k-200k every time 1min max per run
CTRL+LEFT! ALT+LEFT! Also, I don’t understand how you loot the last scav in front of the opening towards the bridge while you could loot him being close to the wall and minimize angles on you.
@@Suolaraketti Kind of like that moment of you looting the guy who just died to a sniper. For all you knew he could have been on his way from god knows where he shot the dude from to get the loot. But I did notice you looked in that general direction a couple of times just to make sure he isn't camping the body from a distance. Generally even though MWII has a watered down version of EFT. The most I ever see people die from is usually while they are looting. Usually just because your either too busy and can't see your surroundings all that well or you a lot of the time can't quick loot even though that isn't exactly an option in these types of games. Generally though even though I don't play this game the most I would have done is take the weapon backpack and ammo then left immediately as I know someone else is likely around the corner for the scraps.
Scavs usually never wear pistol holster, their shoes are always the type that got a beating over the years of use and the most important, they always wear civilian jackets or raincoats, always pay attention to the pants, its always a giveaway to detect a pmc
scav for loot is alright but i like to play scav for the fun pvp aspect, max karma turns the game into tdm & rts, very fun to set up ambushes with the ai & run with an army of player scavs
I have a route in reserve that makes a good 200k to 300k and its consistent enough that I do it if I have enough space in my inventory. There's a 5 percent chance you can get a fresh gun too in that route and it's rarely run by other. I now do this too with my PMC and that's where I get my ammo and weapons and go questing after that.
i just downloaded the game 2 hours ago and ran my first factory scav run and came out with nothing cuz i had no idea what to do. now i understand. thank you
How to succeed at Tarkov in 2023: Step 1: Scav into factory. Loot a couple containers or leftover bodies if you find some. Leave immediately. Step 2: Go sell that shit. Step 3: Do a PMC raid. Have an objective. Always be moving toward it. Remember that you don't have to take every fight. Sometimes it's even better to leave loot on a kill if you think you're exposing yourself to too much risk by looting. Surviving and completing tasks is your #1 priority. Step 4: Repeat. Also as an aside, don't give up. Just keep playing. With time will come more situational awareness, map knowledge, and overall better game sense. We all die, over and over again. Even really good players go on losing streaks, just the way she goes.
Yeah, I avoid the sounds of combat as a scav, might check it out after things die down and pick through any scraps. Though I've found I enjoy scav runs on streets, a lot more risk but with it loading you in a lot earlier than other maps there's a lot more potential for gains... also get shot from window snipers a lot but ya know thats just how it goes
I scav only woods. There is no queue time. PMCs extracts are on the south and scav ones on the north so you never cross any danger. Stashes are never checked.
Interchange is amazing to scav. With the offline mod at least. There are so many hidden caches and once you can memorise where they are/find them with the help of a map, you get a crazy amount of loot. I also keep getting airdrops.
I get this. I'm learning the game still but sometimes I push my luck too much. I don't like using good guns unless I have a few more saved up in my stach so I went into a raid only a glock no extra clips. I managed to kill a scav and pmc together looted and then killed another pmc. Moved for extract and got another kill. I went from just a pistol to armor and a really good vest (filled with loot) as well as 2 ass weapons. Instead of taking the safe way to extract I wanted to loot the 4th and got shot. Kicking myself as I took s risk and gained so much but then lost it all in being too greedy
Definitely takes time to learn. The fact that you were able to do that is awesome. Keep playing and soon you'll learn more and more and you'll soon be walking out as a chad.
@Suolaraketti thanks!! Just bought a junk box (now I feel like I have space for quests) and it's been really fun learning all the mechanics of the game
The problem is to find the extract points for me as a noob, yes online maps exist but it's hard to center yourself even if you spend time in offline maps, especially Woods.
Took me ages to get used to it too. Right now my frustration is with the confusing as hell requirements for extract points on various maps. Requiring you to NOT HAVE A BACKPACK or not have armour is stupid. And then there's the fact that multiple extracts in Factory are behind locked doors you can't access without a key. But the game won't tell you this.
Always check your backpack when you spawn as Scav; if you have good loot, just leave. Also, Factory. In and out super fast, waste as little time on Scav as possible and get that +0.01 asap.
I always avoid fights as Scav, not only do PMC's have the clear armor/weapons advantage, but even if you win the fight and take minor damage like a broken leg it will be absolutely crippling when your Scav doesn't spawn with meds, which is most of the time.
@@Eugene-23 literally makes no sense... you only do it to pass the time and you kill everyone so why not just pmc everytime and lvl him up? Especially since your such a gamer... Sounds like lil Timmy wanted to swing his pp with the big boys but didn't think his story though fully. Lol
my scav runs all in shortline it's so good especially if you are extracting from the lighthouse just wait until the last 5 min then head to the lighthouse extract you will see tons of dead bodies take what you want
Anyone else playing single player mod? Things are a bit weird in that. I find that if I play on, for example, Interchange, and I stay around the edges of the map, I can happily loot every hidden stash and airdrop without any apparent danger. There were a couple of exceptions but generally I never met any AI enemies outside the shopping centre. The exception was terrifying and I'm still not sure what happened. It was like someone opened up on me with a belt fed machine gun, or possibly just mag dumped in my direction. Whatever it was seemed to be loaded with tracers. I panic fired a few shotgun rounds in that general direction and ran for it. Nothing came after me. Thankfully that was as PMC and I had very good armour. What I'm wondering is whether AI PMCs in single player Tarkov actually try to reach exfil points or just mill around in the central area fighting each other. I've never had a problem safely extracting.
I dont know man im running into level 30s and 40s right now this early in wipe I dont even know what the realsitc level everyone should be around anymore.
Tru you have the unemployed bozos that have a full week to rank up. Than you have people like me who can only play occasionaly and are stuck with a low level.
I just run reserve over and over and loot as much as I can replacing shit tier stuff along the way. Almost never die. If I find a quest item I just extract straight away with whatever I've got, if it's too early in the raid I just hide in a low pop area until there's only 5 minutes left then go to extract.
In my second run on streets I played as an PMC with a mp43 loaded with grizzly slugs. I just wanted to survive the raid for a task. The scavs are really annoying though, which is the point I guess. The whole time I'm just trying to get to an extract and they kept coming. I killed when then got fucked up by a player so I hid, kept quiet and healed. I peaked later and there was a player scav looting the bodies I killed. I headshot him. And went to loot myself. He was full of loot that I couldn't believe he obtained so fast. I took it and went to extract. I didn't even loot the other bodies I killed. The player scav could've made so much profit if he wasn't greedy for more. I learned to get what I need and survive. This way I make profit. If I'm greedy and loot every body I see I likely die and end up with nothing.
well as a tarkov player that always enter in middle wipe, i not even try to enter at start, due to amount of people playing... i prefer smooth patient play, i love tarkov as a fps game, i hate deal with to much call of duty guys that enter early wipes and got killed a lot in the first two to three weeks then leave the game, this is why normally i only play at month two of tarkov, where scavs respect scavs more and even pmcs time to time not kill you on sight... for sample custom well knowed map for pvp, i was spawned with my pmc level 10 only with mosin and scav bag, enter a build start looting, when i was able to go out i saw a light from the entering area, i just voip that i'am a noob with only a mosin them they return voice calling me to drop the weapon and i just chat, well i only had this weapon i will turn my back to you guys and leave the build, they respect me, that run i got dead by someone in middle of trees further on new gast station, but time to time i chat voip and people are more gently than in early wipe... the game should be fun, not easy but fun in loose and winning as well... i hate by killed by traitors that already ruined a gpu to me on scav and scav, i not even tell the dude that i had one, he just yeap, this guy in looting lots of pcs and not killed me soo, lets check his backpack with bullet holes! dammit! i hope tha traitor was killed by others scavs later on
I pretty much only scav run interchange at night. I have a route that I do to check weapon boxes and I usually get a lot of good stuff. Sometimes I find things like SR-25s and crazy good attachments.
kind of dumb question but what's the point on scaving? you can pretty much do loot runs with you pmc and you will be better prepared than a scav + you get to lvl up your pmc
Not dumb at all. I use my scav because it means zero fights with scavs along the way. PMC has a way higher upside to it but I find scavs easier to quickly grab loot and make money. While I use my PMC more for tasking and more high value loot runs. As an example as a scav I might just go and do a quick run through an area that’s already been looted. But as a PMC I’m gonna go try to find a LEDx in east wing resort if I can.
Gotta be Honest i see Scav runs as more of a opportunity to 1. Do shit i would not do as a pmc 2. walk in somewhat peace around the map and loot on my routs and 3. To make pmc's life a living hell because i have nothing to lose. You gotta decide you can either use the scav as a practice tool for new combat tactics or as a mule to holla all that sweet loot into your stash but you should not have 1 thing and that is regret if you die it's like winning in the casino and take that 20 $ back into your pocket you can only "lose" the winnings and have a better outcome or you stick with what you have and make a gain but in the end you can't lose
A lot of people are probably too used to watching streamers or more extreme watching highlight raids and get this expression you need to kill 8 PMCs and extract with 2 million roubles. And as a result they try to go after every fight and then die cause their plan was fighting 3-4 different PMC groups and every scav on the map. The more you fight, the more chances you have to die. You gotta learn when to fight and when to retreat, or move to a game that is more PvP optimised.
I can't even get into scav runs when I'm alone, I have to go with friends. OTher than that, the wipes going pretty alright, I'm progressing what I feel to be decently. I've got some harder to find quest items already and am working on the second scav box to keep my stash clear
Honestly i do Streets night run with my scav, i do some 300k rubles at least, just got a 450k run last time, the thing is i do this kind of money bc i'm lvl 15+, but for the first run i didnt do any profit as i kept most of the item for Quest/Hideout Edit: sure i'm not doing 1M+ each time but my run are consistent
Spawn in as scav Walk 100ft, Timer has been at 5 minutes Die from scav player, die to pmc, die to scavs. Literally do a full 360 check everytime Still get domed by people that arnt even visable or there. My longest game this wipe has been 7 minutes on a scav and my longest run on pmc is 5:30. For reference, i dont shoot my gun in scav runs, too risky to lower fence rep so no point in using it. So theres no reason why scavs are shooting me. My pmc has 727 rubbles and i cant even extract. My ration right now is basically 1:20
I have basically never scaved anywhere but factory and it goes really well for me. I grab a few guns sometimes some armored rigs or backpacks for my pmc loadouts and i haven't really thought of going anywhere else. How wasteful would you say i am being? Keep in mind I don't have the flemarket yet so alot of stuff i just can't get atlest not adorably. Plus i can get the scav run done in like 5-10.
I feel your definition of a "early wipe scav" is very different from mine? How will you get all the things you need from killing rogues? I mean like getting a sledgehammer, 2 emelya, 3 flash drives, 14 gas analyzers, 45 Cpu fans, 161 corrugated hoses & 17513 lightbulbs? I mean i still havnt gotten a single salt shaker? ... unless im missing something. Did the rogues take all the awls? Filthy awl stealing rogues. :D
It's funny stumbling across this right now. I had a bunch of scav runs today where I accumulated fat loot and had the opportunity to extract but got greedy and aggressive and lost it all. Guess this is my callout.
Tip to shorten scav queue times: Send a random invite to anyone, then cancel invite/disband group and then queue. You will get much quicker scav queue times🍻
Hey, graphic looks sick! Would you drop a comment with settings you use and what speccs you have in your PC? I've been playing on almost ultra settings on 2k but still can't find sweet spot as shadows are too dark or game feels like there's small mouse input lag on certain settings. Thanks in advance!
Hey! So I don’t use post FX in Tarkov. I actually use radeons internal adjustments on the GPU. My specs for that is 7000 color temp, 58 brightness, 0 hue (normal), 158 contrast, and 200 saturation (max), I am using a Ryzen 7 5800x, 32 gigs DDR4 Ram, and a Radeon 6800XT
@@Suolaraketti thanks for your reply mate! That's awesome, good to know. Adds nice depth to overall looks gotta say. When you understand the game and remember what to do, it's easy. I started getting lvl ~30 first week after like 3rd wipe, I think. You have to play a lot too, obviously.
It gets easier the more you do the tasks. I also don’t speed run tasks. I don’t care about being the first to Kappa. I like to PVP early wipe quite a bit because I enjoy the early wipe fights
Because they're Task focussed. They don't fuss around with Scav Runs all night. Also after a few wipes you know exactly to what you should look out for.
So for me last wipe I learned a scav run for lighthouse where I end up killing building 2 and 3 rogues before the pics even get to the water treatment . Majority of the time sometimes I think there's cheaters who by the time I spawn in at 32 mins left in raid and every single rogue was killed and looted and it blows my mind but when that doesn't happen I loot all building 3 high end loot spawns then kill the rogue on the corner of building 2 then ru. Up kill the rogue on building 3 if there is one and then use building 3s gu. To kill the rest of the forums easier if not then I might have to fight one more before I get to the building 2 corner rogues gun and then I'll kill the last 1 but after that I'll check building 2 high end loot spots and then go drug lab and hit the 4 bitcoin virtex high end spawn broken boxes near drug lab / train exfil and usually by then I've gotten atleast 2 guns a armor a backpack and around 300k in high end loot usually I'll find around 500k high end loot so total I make about 650k per run but it's not very consistent and it depends on where I've spawned like if I spawn chalet or used and it's not looted yet wnd I get lucky I've made it out of a raid with over 2 million in 1 run and that wasn't counting the guns because I was still building up my arsenal in stash. Since as of the time of the comment being posted I'm only lv 31 because I didn't play almost 50 days of the beginning of this wipe
Ive been trying to play a little more confidently recently and lose my horrible sense of gear fear. Ran a factory raid last night and went straight to offices to loot. Immediately find two people inside waiting and kill them. then hear 2 more and killed them. Then heard a 5th trying to take shots with a pistol and saw he had no armor. Decided to try killing him too and ended up getting head tapped. Moral of the story. Learn when to walk away. I had 4 pmcs worth of loot, and threw it all away to get one more kill
My main goal every wipe is I run Scav's on Interchange and hit all the hidden caches, the ones off the beaten path are 90% of the time unlooted. After a good 5-10 Scav's and a few survived PMC raids or when I get my first 1.1mil I buy myself a junk box and from that point I just throw ALL of my junk in that bitch and once it is filled up I'm surely to a level I have the flea market unlocked. I then proceed to sell all my junk on the market and net profit a few mil roubles and at that point I'm more than comfortable the whole wipe of dicking around and having "fun" rather than worry about being broke. Gotta find what works for YOU.
@@Suolaraketti Exactly, I think that is one of the only things keeping EFT a game that I always come back to every other wipe.... Plus y'all don't help with your immersive, well done videos. lol Always makes you wanna play and you get all stoked and hop on only to get headeyes'd within 2 minutes of a raid that took you 5 minutes to load into. But I think that's the charm of the game. Every one of my friends plays different. (Outside that same end goal of getting quests done to level traders.) Hell even my wife who hates most shooters, loves the freedom of the game. She literally loves playing as primarily Scav's because she enjoy just looting. She's masochistic and wants to just end each wipe with as much roubles as possible.... lmao It's not even gear fear as she'll have an entire EoD stash full of like 6 level 4-6 armors, meta guns off the chads who got headeyes by AI, hundreds of backpacks, and tons of rigs, ammo boxes and a few junk box's. Go in a few times with that gear and get absolutely luckier than I can dream of and STILL make it out with more stuff. Anyone who tells you they can't keep money the main answer to that problem is SCAV.
i seem to always do good on scav, i like night runs so it's less hectic and just rat it out! im same i won't shoot unless im shot or hit! Edit: if anyone wants to duo or anything just add me same here as game!
Unrelated question, where does the name Suolaraketti come from? Obviously it is a Finnish "word", but i would be very interested to know the background.
I just never know what to do as a scav. Most of the loot has been taken and I don’t even know where stuff is on the map, so should I be trying to kill pmcs?
I have a low competition scav run listed on my RUclips actually! Check the video out here The Best Tarkov Scav Run With No Competition ruclips.net/video/7CDG99AcaFE/видео.html
i really think making money is too easy in tarkov to ever worry about clicking scav. i might do a quick run through on factory while waiting for my teammates to finish a raid for scav rep, but other than that i play pmc 99.9% of the time
@@bandmantv6393 yessir! When I saw those keys I was like my guy thought he was about to Rambo his way through the map with half a mil on his back. I would’ve been out of there with just one of those keys early wipe. I loved the Merin car last wipe
I have no idea what I'm doing in this game, so this video didn't help me too much. I have no idea what loot to keep or sell, etc. Typically I go in as SCAV to get some combat experience or just to learn the map and where the exits are. Once I'm out of the mission I keep enough random stuff to keep my stash full, then sell the excess stuff. I have no idea how to progress my PMC or what stuff to keep that can be traded for better stuff...game is kinda overwhelming.
My rules for scav runs:
(OTOH, as you point out, it's often better to leave with good loot rather than risking it for better loot.)
Love this! Do you mind if I pin this comment?
How long did this take to type holy shit
Examining unknown items with the PMC is genius

So, it boils down to: Don't be too greedy. Leave chadding to chad PMC's. Know when enough is enough.
Exactly.
That’s not bad! Easy and fast roubles
Exactly what I just commented..
I get 1 minute raids with high scav rep and instant extract
I do that too. It just takes 10 minutes or more to find a game on factory as a scav....

Most people's scav suck because they are killing other scavs like idiots.
@@TheGoatLockerhaven’t met a friendly scav most if not all are usually hostile.
Also, if you get your Fence rep high enough (4+), you can do scav runs every few minutes with good gear and your Moonshine/IntelFolder Scav Case loop takes less then 2 hours. Those rep buffs add up like crazy.
But first you have to grind this scav rep and honestly i prefer to play PMC raids rather than SCAV.
scav run reserve and shoreline for good loot
I have a shoreline scav run video on my channel!
You always die within a minute from a freaking prick who is waiting in the corner for your spawn.
dont play solo
Just learn the spawns
I think the other thing is people don't prioritize when they are scaving: you are either there to make money, no-cost PMC hunt, or find that one in-raid item without worrying about getting head-eyes by the first person you see. If you don't have a clear goal/target, it becomes harder to manage risk vs. reward when making decisions
Treating a game like a job, no wonder Tarkov has such a bad reputation.
That's me!"
Ur friends dont seem to like each other very much

I scav nearly exclusively on woods. Stash spots, the sheer amount of NPC scavs, and good spots for loot has lead me to an overabundance of backpacks, rigs, guns, and money that I can now invest into hideout and stuff to do the annoying quests. Plus it's nice to strike it lucky and gang up on a pmc with other scavs. Not to mention nearly every scav I met as a scav on woods was super helpful with any questions I had with the game
Wipe was rough for a while but I changed up my playstyle a bit and I'm current on an 8 survive streak with my pmc and rolling through quests
loot on your back and the hidden caches on way to extract = big profit with 90%+ sur rate, also you die to less "rats" on large maps if you know where hidden caches are, the amount of kills I get looking through bag on cache and hear people rolling up or times I've died to a "rat" then later realise he was on a cache and had i known it was there i would of seen him. Also to support his point more then once this wipe i have run into fellow player scavs doing the gun crates above fob and i went to hit caches and they went to fob for me to just hear a bunch of shots from fob.
great supporting points! That’s exactly how you should play to make money and survive.
first time rolling in money, after playing warthunder for so long and spotting targets, it has made it easy for me to spot targets on tarkov. headshots are hitting like crazy and this is the first time im in the groove on this game.

Also, I don’t understand how you loot the last scav in front of the opening towards the bridge while you could loot him being close to the wall and minimize angles on you.
I hear you but I will likely always be a dragger 😅 also that’s a good point I could’ve played looting that a bit safer

I love reserve as well.

quality advice
How to succeed at Tarkov in 2023:
Step 1: Scav into factory.
1000000% best strat
Yeah, I avoid the sounds of combat as a scav, might check it out after things die down and pick through any scraps. Though I've found I enjoy scav runs on streets, a lot more risk but with it loading you in a lot earlier than other maps there's a lot more potential for gains... also get shot from window snipers a lot but ya know thats just how it goes
My guy I’m still looking for soap and a spark plug.
The first mistake is to go to Lighthouse when Streets has insane loot that no one takes.
@@asecret5961 happy to hear it man. Tarkov is one of the most rewarding games I’ve played.

should help though it is dated with some like vehicle extract
Took me ages to get used to it too.
Right now my frustration is with the confusing as hell requirements for extract points on various maps. Requiring you to NOT HAVE A BACKPACK or not have armour is stupid.
And then there's the fact that multiple extracts in Factory are behind locked doors you can't access without a key. But the game won't tell you this.
I've awakened to using my AI scav brothers as fodder while the kitted PMC is killing them I sneak in for the killing strike.
Works great on Factory
Always check your backpack when you spawn as Scav; if you have good loot, just leave.
Also, Factory. In and out super fast, waste as little time on Scav as possible and get that +0.01 asap.
Wise advice my friend don't need to be so gready!
Nah. Nothing feels better than greed.
It clearly wasn't greed. He just wanted to fight.
I always avoid fights as Scav, not only do PMC's have the clear armor/weapons advantage, but even if you win the fight and take minor damage like a broken leg it will be absolutely crippling when your Scav doesn't spawn with meds, which is most of the time.
As a New player for me i did only scav runs and now i often go on factory and extract right away
I don't think I've died as a scav yet, this is now the easiest time to survive as a scav

Great vid man. Good quality 👌 subbed
Awesome! Thank you!

The Video is unrelated to what I was looking for but it definitely helped. I’m looking for tips to tell pmc from skav.
kind of dumb question but what's the point on scaving? you can pretty much do loot runs with you pmc and you will be better prepared than a scav + you get to lvl up your pmc
But as a PMC I’m gonna go try to find a LEDx in east wing resort if I can.
i legit scrolled up when he started looting that guy lmao
Oh that’s nice you can actually scav run I haven’t be able to do anything but factory it’s just infinite loading
Try making a group you don’t have to have anyone with you. Just be a group. It tends to go faster
You can just cntrl click to fast equip instead of dragging
Gotta be Honest i see Scav runs as more of a opportunity to 1. Do shit i would not do as a pmc
2. walk in somewhat peace around the map and loot on my routs and 3.
Great video my guy!
Subbed. Nice work!
Bad scavs can suck all of it. I have already gotten killed by players scavs more than in the entire last wipe. Tf?
I can't even get into scav runs when I'm alone, I have to go with friends. OTher than that, the wipes going pretty alright, I'm progressing what I feel to be decently. I've got some harder to find quest items already and am working on the second scav box to keep my stash clear
Scavs on woods is very chill. However I had to put down couple of scavs for being baad.

Walk 100ft,

Guess this is my callout.
your friend right there is just like me, thats why i died 19 out of 20 pmc runs lmao
I found 2 salewas in my first scav run this wipe in the same med crate on factory. I quickly extracted and now I still need the last one 😂

@@Suolaraketti Thanks! I would have never guessed as graphic looks amazing! Tarkov can be really weird when it comes to these settings and how they make your game look and run. Cheers once again!
18lvl, it's the 1st wipe I started to really play this game, I've got no clue how some ppl are 30+ lvl already
Also after a few wipes you know exactly to what you should look out for.
what do i do if i killed a scav on accident and they keep killing me everytime i run scav.. how do i fix that
So for me last wipe I learned a scav run for lighthouse where I end up killing building 2 and 3 rogues before the pics even get to the water treatment .
Keep up the great work 🎉
This wipe I don’t have as much playing time as usual. So I don’t scav at all, instead I make loot runs with my PMC
The other moral of the story: Wear a good helmet.
Never PEEK the same angle. Flank good, peek bad. Anyway, good vid.
The golden rules when fighting!
Witnessed SV-98 being confused for an SVD, didn't watch further
Love that! Always find what works for you. Tarkov is the game of many playstyles!
Lighthouse player scavs just still kill you in lighthouse when you only having shit rogue ak and a helmet
Honestly, its the fastest I've ever hit 15 and I didn't even do prapor of therapist I just grinded jaegar about halfway up his quest tree
i seem to always do good on scav, i like night runs so it's less hectic and just rat it out! im same i won't shoot unless im shot or hit! Edit: if anyone wants to duo or anything just add me same here as game!
Played for about a day and haven't died from an actual player yet. I just can't find extract in time or dying from the ai.
Unrelated question, where does the name Suolaraketti come from? Obviously it is a Finnish "word", but i would be very interested to know the background.
Zero reason to scav anywhere but Streets. It has loot for days, very rare to run into PMCs as long as you stay away from lexos.
Streets wasn't a map when this was made and none of this is map specific.
I just never know what to do as a scav. Most of the loot has been taken and I don’t even know where stuff is on the map, so should I be trying to kill pmcs?
I have a low competition scav run listed on my RUclips actually! Check the video out here The Best Tarkov Scav Run With No Competition
ruclips.net/video/7CDG99AcaFE/видео.html
Scav is a waste of time. Just go pmc runs with light kit instead if low on money
Scav runs are low risk money makers if you know what you're doing lol
Nothing wrong with it
Easiest scav run is woods caches.
Look up the map, go on an offline raid to locate them and then load a scav and loot.
Shoreline scavs 500K+ per run if you know where to look. I aint listening to people saying scavs are useless.
I have a shoreline scav run video! I love shoreline
Why your scav runs sucks
1. you spawn in late
2. you shouldn't play your scav paly your pmc.
Good points...
i really think making money is too easy in tarkov to ever worry about clicking scav. i might do a quick run through on factory while waiting for my teammates to finish a raid for scav rep, but other than that i play pmc 99.9% of the time
Some of us run solo so got to scav and do some pmc runs in between
Bros peeking rogues wit a W112 and a MERIN as a SCAV? My man def gotta watch this video 🤣
Once I saw that I was like, “yeah I think we all need a reminder this is still early wipe”
@@Suolaraketti my man sold the bag but you secured it lol
@@bandmantv6393 yessir! When I saw those keys I was like my guy thought he was about to Rambo his way through the map with half a mil on his back. I would’ve been out of there with just one of those keys early wipe. I loved the Merin car last wipe
@@Suolaraketti yeah lowkey with that Merin key I’d be outta there at any point in wipe 🤣. W112 is a quest key tho I think so he was really wild
@@bandmantv6393 it’s needed for vitamins part 1 and has a blue keycard (the worst one) spawn.
Tip 1: Scav faster
Tip 2: Scav
Tip 3: do 1 and 2 again
This is one of the best anti addiction videos of all time.
Cause I'm using my phone's hotspot to play while waiting on my wifi in two days.
