    Interesting no 230 Volt option. Love my DML809 but I think I might be in the market for the ML003G

    Makita are way behind on ligting, especially compare to the likes of milwaukee.
    Seems like they took this long to bring out pretty much the same lights that just take 40v batteries. They even removed the option to plug in the ML009G...
    Any sign of XGT tower lights?
    Great video as always. Nice to see lights actually compared outside.

    Second! Can’t wait to get one just can’t decide, cheers for all your awesome reviews, this info is making me buy into the XGT range from the 18v range

    Thanks for the great review. I've got two of the torches in the LXT platform and they're awesome. One in each corner of a room on floodlight mode creates a pretty good light to work with, even in a reasonably big area. My kids were using them playing spotlight last year when we were camping and a lot of the people there wanted to know what they were, they couldn't believe how much range they had. They definitely chew through the batteries though, I'm tipping the XGT version would be better in this regard? Cheers.

    Would be a good idea. To have a power cord that also charger’s the battery when it’s in use with all the 40v lights. Thankyou kindly

    The only thing that would make them better is if they had a mains option because the 10k would eat through battery’s unless you have the big 4-8 amp 40v ones

    Another great review sir!, im thinking of getting the ml002g xgt light, I had the lxt version of this style of work light and loved it!, recently tho the switch went Pete tong and to get the parts to repair it was the same price as a new light so I’m thinking of the xgt version for me poking about in lofts, any chance you could review it buddy?, to be honest I’m a bit jealous about how many rad makita tools you get to review, I’d totally love to be doing a uk version of your channel but can’t afford to buy loads of makita tools to review, I only review tools I buy for my work or sometimes I borrow tools off another tradey!,my channel is super tiny and ah hem I swear allot more than you 😉, anyway I have loads of fun and it looks like you do to, keep up the awesome work sir.

      Well I started out like you. Just reviewing the odd tool as I purchased them for work tasks. Then I became a bit addicted to buying tools after having a job where I had access to any tool I could possibly want. I still spend more each month on tools than I make back from the advertising. I used to swear a lot more, but YT isn't so keen on that anymore, so to get the views I backed off on the swearsies. I leave a lot more in on my other channel Builds & Stuff, and on my Patreon page the filters are completely off. I'll send you a link to how I would like to be able to make YT videos...

    So mains option in these models vs the 18v?

  • @JohnKrakatoa
    @JohnKrakatoa Год назад +1

    the smaller box light is MEH since it doesnt fit both batteries at the same time and you can't use two of the 18V or the 40V batteries....the bigger one is much better in that regard... BUT WHY the hell did they scratch the 230V cable connection? I use that mostly on mine 18V DML809 light...

    Too bad they didn't leave the option of using AC as on the DML809. Sometimes you might just want to plug it in, but not a huge deal.

    My question is how durable are these. Work as a tow truck operator and need high durability tools especially for recovery scenes

    I'm excited to purchase the hand held one. It would be cool if they could throw in more lumens into that hand held, maybe try to extend the distance with the xgt power.

    Just because you seem to like gadgets, check out lights such as Imalent MS18, Acebeam X75 (I have the older X70) and Lumintop GT94X. Not work lights obviously but you'll be impressed.
