    When I put a sto on it shows 3 lines not 2, but I noticed his stochastic only shows two lines. Why is this?

    • @metastock
      @metastock  2 года назад +1

      Hi JR, thanks for the message. Traditionally the Stochastic has 2 lines. They are called the %K and the %D. %D is actually a moving average of %K.
      I'm not sure what the third line you are looking at is, but we do have a really cool guide on Stochastics here:
      www.metastock.com/customer/resources/taaz/?p=106
      Hope it helps you!

      Thanks for the link. Mine shows
      %K
      %D
      %D slow.
      All 3 lines show. I just turned off the
      %D slow, but not sure if that’s the one I should turn off or not.
      I’m not sure if I should turn the D or
      D slow off, but I’m sure one of them needs to go.
      Das trader is a little funky to use.
      Thanks again.

      @@JR-ss3td I've done some research and can't find much information on a third value. My guess is that the platform you are using adds an additional longer moving average in addition to the third one. This would make sense for a slower %d. You can add an additional moving average in MetaStock if you'd like. If you'd like to know precisely what it is, I'd reach out to your charting provider.
      Hope it helps. Thanks for watching.
