Generally the scale for MS is slightly larger than NA (which I prefer) but I find it funny that for the dinobots and Jetfire that NA is actually bigger than MS. Wish MS would step up their paint game, those EX versions from NA look amazing.

It’s why I tend to not buy MS figures right off the bat, down the road they normally offer their “ex” version that’s an “exquisitely painted” version with drastically more color. Not always, but fairly often.
The irritating thing is they haven’t done that with their Prowl yet to my knowledge, and I kind of prefer the larger car bots as opposed to the teeny little buggers they were on the scale charts.

Ah, yes. Mini Fans Toys. I think FT really missed a huge market here. Thank God for NA!

You forgot, when transforming Ymir to bot mode, to push forward the waist (it's on a track) so that the torso is properly centered over the waist.
I've got to both agree and disagree about your assessment over how much EX Ymir is the best Legends-class Grimlock; on the plus side, it looks and feels premium and is very solid overall.
However, MS Tyrannosaurus has better proportions, both in dino and bot mode, is actually beefy looking in dino mode compared to most other Legends-class figures and, except for the tail and butterfly joints for the arms, has the better engineering. When it opens its jaw, it looks properly menacing instead of a bit dopey-looking like Ymir ( they're hinged differently ).
MS Tyrannosaurus loses points however on finish and joints tolerances ( I'm lucky I've only one loose bot mode knee and doesn't tend to have dino legs spreading all the time ) and is about as expensive than standard Ymir.
I'd pay a boatload of money for a Mp scale MS Tyrannosaurus with NA EX Ymir finish but I guess I'll keep on dreaming or eventually pick up Robosen Grimlock....
