Places like these are the best. Love it when you video areas like this. I think you were born with eagle eyes. I can't fathom how you see things so far away from you, but I am glad you can.
The chattering birds were Marsh Wrens. The smaller white egret was a Snowy Egret and I think I heard Pine Warblers when you were on the trail. I see that you already figured out Laughing Gull and Herring Gull.
That was absolutely beautiful thanks Cliff. Love that wildlife you are seeing. Love the roses. Thanks for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
Even though you are not in PA, ( LOL ) your exploration and sharing with us is off the charts. What wonderful views and scenes of nature. Thank you for taking us along. Can't wait to see your camping set up this time.
Hi Cliff, what a cool place, so much wildlife to see, it's really great that there are places like this for the wildlife to take refuge in their natural habitat. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
I go by 10 Osprey nests and an Eagle's nest on my bus route during school. Other day I came around a curve and there was an Eagle in the road feeding on a dead fawn. He took off and flew to a near by tree. I was within @ 100 ft
At track 28:24 there are a few black skimmers mixed in with the seagulls. My favorite shore bird at this refuge. I enjoyed going along with you on the drive and trails today. Thank you😊😊
Cliff, It's so good to see you visiting our old stomping grounds. That's the most Osprey and Turtles I've ever seen at one time, the nest areas have worked wonderfully. Many of the animal and bird species on my life list were from that area, you just have to go on a regular bases. WE even saw Pelicans and Roseate Spoonbills, amazing. It' similar to Bombay Hook which you've visited. I Spent a great portion of my life visiting the people and the forgotten towns of New Jersey including Harrisia or Harrisburg. When you get to the ruins of the paper mill , although it' was fenced, if you walked toward the back it was open and you could get good photos without actually walking among the ruins. I don't know about today, maybe not anymore. Back in the late 50 to 70's it was still in pretty good condition. WE left in 2013 but WE have explored so many of the areas which no longer exist and met many of the old timers who have now passed. Cheers, Rik Spector
Cliff, if you get a chance, the next time you stop by this park, check out 'Seven Bridges Road' in Tuckerton NJ, it's not too far from here. You will see some good stuff here also, seven bridges thru a huge swamp marsh.
You would enjoy Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge on the Outer Banks of NC. One of my favorite places. Make sure you have bug repellent of some sort!!!!
Cliff, I visited Friendship when the buildings were still there, there was a family of squatters in one and another one was heavy stone work, you could walk down in the open cellar which was much cooler than the area around it. The State leveled the buildings and mothing exists any more. Just like Pennsy, the Pine Barrens had many iron forges and some stamping mills and the descendants of those people still live the and remember those days and places like Bodines Tavern,
Should have stuck to the marsh areas. You can do the wooded paths in PA. I frequent a photography forum & some of the members do pretty good down there with the wading, birds of prey, ducks & the shore birds. Happy outdoors to you.
The best thing for t!he biting flies in NJ is Avon's Skin So Soft. We used it all the time growing up when we camped in NJ
I love your videos. They are very soothing. I love to watch them while I’m winding down before bed.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who brakes for and gets excites about turtles! 😁🤩

There are still a couple of foundations left.
