Nice video. Since you asked - one thing that would be nice would be if you made a video of a multiplayer match, but: 1) Edit the video so we don't have to wait for the opponent's turn. You can use the time in between to think through your next actions if you want to. 2) Try to make it so the video isn't 8 hours long, as it often happens with heroes 3 content (especially multiplayer matches). 1,5 to 2 hours would be optimal in my opinion. You could either play with a timer, or speed up the footage and dub over it (though live commentary is usually preferable) That video would make me a very happy subscriber
If multiplayer matches are what you're looking for, why don't you go check out my Twitch VODs at www.twitch.tv/theknownworld/videos/all? Most of the matches shown there are done with Simultaneous Turns, so you don't have to wait very long (if at all) for subsequent turns.
@@jamaicandondada9024 if he makes a "clicker" (saw it on an evan kale video i think) he could just use that at the end and beginning of every turn then run the program and it will edit itself to remove the enemy turns. so other than the setup theres almost zero editing time to cut them all out as long as he remembers to use the clicker.
@@TheKnownWorld I dont watch twitch. Is it tedious to upload ALL your streams in here? I thought twitch automatically saves streamed video :/ anyway, why dont you stream in youtube, if youtube does that?
Thank you for this video. I am quite new to HoMM3 since a friend wants to play it. It’s been quite fun .. but knowing things really helps. Love all the information you provide ❤️
I have two challenges, the first one is the Pure Race in which you can only use one faction no matter what. That means you can’t use any other faction heroes & creatures. The other challenge is the Work Hard or Anti-Stat, in which you are not allow to go access to any stat boost buildings outside the town. It is impossible to prevent stats being built in town by AI so that is a excuse. Keep up the great work!
Funny enough, the person who commented before you also requested a match where I can only use heroes and units from one faction. While I may consider doing this one in the future, I at least intend to get through a few other challenges first. The latter challenge you proposed doesn't sound particularly difficult. In fact, if I recall correctly, I mostly avoided using map objects that gave stat boosts in my Only One Hero challenge since they were too far for me to pick up.
If one listens to Progenies of the Great Apocalypse by Dimmu Borgir from 2003 on RUclips, one can't help to hear an resemblance with the Inferno Theme. The rhythm is more or less identical. :)
I'm glad to hear it! Different people enjoy seeing different things, and given how many challenge videos I've done in the past year or so, I think that this episode was a nice change of pace.
I missed these videos please continue making more. Streams are great and all but you make my week when i see one of these longer videos. Thanks for all the fun times, man. I love your commentaries.
Given how short this episode is relative to all the other ones I've done, I wouldn't quite consider this a "longer" video. :P That aside, I usually cap the video releases to once per month, but this was done as a bonus episode. I'm glad you're enjoying my commentaries. More content will be coming soon!
I tried demon farming according to your mentioning of it so many times in other videos (but before watching this specific one) and its quite nice. Of course Im not as skilled as you, was always playing on rook diff, and after watching your vids, Im starting with 200% myself. But Im good at math myself, and without a calculator it offers fun in this way too :-D . Its like bad to split units that are not from Inferno, cause you may not ever get them again, but Imps? Their HP are perfect! 4 hp on 9 Imps is 36 hp total so you have 1 hp over, but look at it the other way: 4 Demons have 140 hp and 140/4 is 35 and you have total of 35 Imps with 140 health too. Im kinda curious if Imps just were meant to be sacrificed into demons in developers heads or if it is just coincidence... (This all may look stupid but in all the years Im playing HoMaM 3-from start because im 31- I never realized that the demons are permanent and you can use it this way. Internet works really magically for strategies in games. Greetings to you, MeKick and to you, HoMaM 3 fans! :) (Hope its understandable, Im from Czech republic, so Im not like english language master)
I really enjoyed this style of content. As a painfully average HOMM3 player, this video really helped me up my inferno game. Thank you for taking the time to breakdown this playstyle MeKick.
I'm glad you learned some new tricks from watching the playthrough. I feel like knowing that you and others have learned something new from this video makes this venture an overall success, so thanks for the feedback!
Also when I was 5 I did not know english and when I went back to my saves, I had like Navigation on non-water map, had Josephine as main, had Gargoyle powerstack....
Man it's unbeleivable how lucky you got with the amount of gold spawns and chests. I just recently started playing homm3 and at 200% and I had a game not so long ago where i literally COULD NOT buy out even a 2nd hero or 2nd tier building in the 1st week, RNG I guess..anyways it's a pleasure watching you play, my fav faction is Inferno because I have this odd Demon fetish and playing hellspawns excites me, your content is really nice, keep up the good work and have a nice day kind sir.
It's probably not just luck, but also that you generated a random map that used a "poorer" template than the one I used for this video. I'll also restart the match on starting areas which look exceptionally terrible (i.e. if the Sawmill or Ore Pit are blocked off by some kind of misplaced guard). I'm glad you enjoy watching me play! Inferno is my favorite faction too, but for different reasons than the ones you have. In particular, I consider Inferno to be the most challenging faction, which makes it one of the most enjoyable factions for me to play. Keep up the good work I shall!
Speed 4 Creature challenge: No creatures that have speed above 4 are allowed. All speed boosts are allowed - terrain bonuses, hero specialties, artifacts and spells.
Thanks MK, really enjoyed the video! Wouldn't mind seeing more videos of you just having fun or messing around whenever you feel like it. Not every vid has to push your masochism to its limit xD
there is an easy way to calculate. every 35 creatures will give you round number of demons. Every 35 imps will give you 4 demons. and every 35 dwarves will give you 20 demons. Edit: also, if the unit has 5 HP or any multiple of 5, then every 7 will give you round number. 7 dwafs give 4 demons. 7 Hounds give 5 demons. 7 Grand elves give you 3 demons.
I might be mistaken but at ~30 minutes, when you tried to kill galthran, then having your gogs be at the bottom of the battlefield was a mistake. This is because the topmost unit always gets to go first (provided all units have the same speed). Of course, galthran's gog is also his topmost unit, so it might not have made a difference, but it's something to think about.
You're welcome for the videos! Thanks for watching them :D I'm glad that my content gives you something to look forward to after work. Unfortunately, I cannot increase the frequency of my uploads at this time, but I will be releasing the next episode soon. Cheers!
"On MeKick level", eh? :P Anyway, thanks! Given how much effort goes into setting up Demon Farming, I'm not sure I would go as far as calling it overpowered. However, I do think that when done correctly, it sets the basis for a strong powerstack that can farm the map effectively.
self promotion are you ? :b well I would say it is either one of the two, also as you showed here you need those hell hounds to farm and ignored highter tier units (than the pit fiends) eliminating the efreet
Self-promotion indeed! :P Why does it have to be either one or the other? As I demonstrated in the episode I linked you, I went for both Demon Farming and Efreeti. By the start of Week 2 in that playthrough, I had access to 4 Efreeti and I used that to farm the map so I could get access to Demon Farming. You don't "need" Hell Hounds to farm Demons, but having extra meat to farm Demons with is always nice.
The Dad Challenge: Small map, 1vs7, 200% > get higher score than 495. My father used to play only that, couldn't get higher than the number :D I've played heroes for 20 years and still find this amusing. If you can do it, I think it'd be great to show people! :) Great vid by the way!!! The beauty of this game is neverending
lol, interesting proposition! While this does sound fun, I've already done a 1v7 playthrough on a Small map before (ruclips.net/video/iYQEQ3EtUCo/видео.html would be the link for it). My final score in that match didn't quite come out to be near 495, but if I decided to dig up the Grail then I think my score would've been somewhere around there since the Grail gives an additional 50 points. ;) Heroes III's beauty is indeed legendary. Cheers!
TheKnownWorld Haha, yeah I actually remember seeing that. I've been following you for quite a while now (ever since that vampire lord video). We should maybe play some games together sometime!! I've got a mate whom I've been banging with for years now. On a side note, do you know if its even possible to score more than 495? I know small map 200% 1v7 is indeed the way to get the highest score, but I've never seen anyone do it. p.p.s.: Ill skim through your videos again and try to think of a proper challenge
I'm pretty sure there are ways to score more than 495, but you would need a very special map and some pretty crazy luck in order for that to work out. Are you sure 1v7 on a Small map using 200% difficulty is the way to get the highest score? What about just a plain 1v1? I remember one such game I played where I started within one turn of the enemy AI player and I eliminated that player outright. Theoretically, if I managed to dig up the Grail early on in the game, this situation could've given more than 495 points. You don't have to rack your brain for a "proper" challenge. There's tons of people who have flooded me with challenge requests even though I already have the next few challenges that I want to do in mind. :P
Hey MeKick, if I may suggest a challenge after "Only auto-combat": No item transfer, No army transfer, No resource trade, So every hero has to get his/her own army directly from the town or map, Every found artifact stays with the hero, The resources you find are the ones you work with.
Some tips for playing vs AI from me Castle turrets will often go for archers or level 1 units so if archers are vital to your strategy (ivor with elves, valeska with pew pew men etc.) take them out of the army for the siege if possible (note that when attacking. archers deal reduced damage to stacks inside the walls) there is few exceptions for example when your army contains a few archangels you can res your marksmen at the end of the battle (or with res spell). If you're not familiar with heroes, try to play a few turns with some good/popular heroes to see what they do, so if you have a chance to pick it midgame you have a rough idea what he's like (outside of stat boosting specialities like Craig hack with offense or Kyrre with logistics, there are some interesting abilities that you need to try to know how they will behave in combat situation > Lunas firewall, solmyrs chain lightning aislinns shower or adela with bless) When playing on l-xl usually it's a good idea to divide available units into armies that have different purposes, that will vary from situation to situation and person to person and I'm by no means an expert but here's what I look for in my main army: ofc tier 7 powerhouses (I tend to exclude hydras or bone dragons though), good fliers like Griffons or thunderbirds, a stack of shooters preferably with more survivability than tones of damage like medusas, strong stat sticks that can serve in both defense and offense and will not slow my hero down (7+ speed, unicorns are amazing) and special abilities of units for example spell casting of ginnes or ogre shamans, AI rarely targets ginnes with towers or spells so they're likely to cast quite a few spells before they go down and even if so, one only costs 500g. My defensive army will be...well.. Whatevers left of course but usually I will leave slow grunts, tier 1/2 maybe 3 units and a stack of archers not good to join the A team. Ents and dwarves I almost always leave in town for Def when playing rampart, they're joined by a few pleblevel units here and there that are unupgraded, come from dwellings outside the town etc. Skills that I think are good for defensive heroes include anything that boosts stats in combat; intelligence, offense, armorer, expert earth or water ( for mass versions of dispel cure bless shield and stone skin) tactics so you can choose your formation vs much faster attacking units like dragons, estates, wisdom (situational) archery and speciality in the biggest defensive stack so let's say dwarves for example. On large maps, think about the macro more than micro, chip away at enemy's economy by sneaking a mine capture here and there, gold mines are very important, almost like towns. If you're making an offensive move with your main army far away from your towns , have your defense set up or have a hero chain set up from your "Base" to the frontline so you have a failsafe in case AI sneaks a cheeky bugger in your backline. Don't go 100% ham unless you're 100% sure your towns won't get sneaked on in the meantime. AI likes to split his units on a few heroes so be cautious of the positioning of your main force. Getting out of your biom fast is beneficial, don't turtle too much, unshadow as much of the Map as possible, strip it from artifacts, recourses, capture mines before the enemy gets there even if you have to run away for a bit afterwards. Even if you run away, you don't lose anything because the enemy pursuing you doesn't get anything for it since you took everything. If you can take away some arts and piles of resources from the enemy side of the map that's great because you need resources much more than the AI (on 16o and 200 you have less resources than AI) That's about it, I'll check again tomorrow to see if anything else springs to my mind. If I said something that's in the video sry I didn't watch the whole thing yet :
I am new to this channel but I've recently started to like this game again. Although I am having trouble in advancing my strategies and battle choices. I'm asking if you could make a video for noobs like me that tells all about what choices to make, which strategies are out there and which of those strategies are the best. I'm playing inferno myself but maybe you have the time or even want to you could lay out all the strategies for each castle. I don't know if you already have a video like that but it would be really nice. Anyways I like the demon strategy.
Hello, and welcome to TheKnownWorld! I'm glad you enjoy the Demon Farming strategy. Regarding the "video for noobs" that you were requesting, given the limited amount of time I have to make videos, I'm afraid that I don't have any intention of doing a video that explicitly focuses on choices and strategies at the moment. However, I want to point out that I've done a playthrough with each of the factions in the game on this channel (e.g. the Castle 1v7 video, which can be viewed at ruclips.net/video/0aPsDb9UAYs/видео.html if you're interested). In each of these playthroughs, I generally cover different build routes and approaches that can be used with the faction I'm playing (although I don't go as far as proclaiming any individual strategy as being "the best"). I also discuss the actions that I take as I play and why I've decided to play as I have. Perhaps these faction playthroughs might be of use to you. Cheers!
No hero developing challenge: The essence of the challenge is to rely on your armies, rather than on your heroes - so you can't use heroes that are above lvl ~10 and/or can't use artifacts and/or can't pick skills that you would prefer to choose when leveling up. You can use a combination of these conditions. Picking up skill shrines is straight out. Basically just use heroes as glorified army carriages, if your frontline hero begins to have an impact on battles, replace him with your next carriage.
Actually, I'm considering the Level 1 Heroes Only challenge that others have suggested. I think that such a challenge would essentially be the same as yours, except much more difficult.
I liked it. I would prefer if you finished the scenario though and just did whatever you could to max out that demon stack. OP shit is always fun. I wouldn't mind a longer vid or more episodes.
Thanks for the feedback! I understand where you're coming from regarding trying to max out the Demon stack, but I've got plenty of longer videos as it is (including one full playthrough of Inferno). This match was deliberately meant to be much shorter, and I wanted to focus on just the first few weeks of playing the Inferno faction. Cheers!
Thanks MeKick! 1:36:04 this load was actually very informative for me. Maybe at some point you could post a vid strictly about units grouping and positioning in different situations :) Cheers!
No problem! I'm glad you looked at that reload as a learning experience rather than cheating. :) As part of my tutorial guide on Heroes III (The More You Know series), I was supposed to do a video on unit positioning in creature banks. However, I just haven't had the time or motivation to continue that series as of recent.
I wish the devs had given arch devils a compatible demon summon to balance this team a bit more, IMO arch devil stacks should be able to summon 2-3 demons per devil once per battle, to give them a real special on par with archangels. Then there would be a viable strategy to pair with pit lord DF. Too bad nobody ever calls me and this team remains tied with fortress for dead last
I'm still learning! This is like a WoW but more fun! There is so many things that i didn't know before my professor told me in HS... Im just 1 yr older than this game but i still think its best game ever MADE!
Ah, NOW I see why you knew I'd hate this one. This is the pleb way of playing Inferno now that the advanced magoghbar strats have been found *SoBayed* Nah but in all seriousness I remember you doing this on a stream once and it'll actually be useful since I for one still have yet to look up how to optimally demon farm Kappa
lol, Great Calh in the Sky is still the #1. That hasn't changed ;) Also, sorry to disappoint you, but I didn't cover anything in this video that you don't already know about.
I've already done these strategies in some of my past videos. You can check out my Stronghold 1v7 (ruclips.net/video/_Js8VIAUGIs/видео.html is the link) for a Behemoth rush. I don't recall using Efreeti with Armageddon, but I've used Armageddon with other Fire Immune units such as Firebirds in my Conflux 1v7. This video was meant to be a one-off episode demonstrating my favorite strategy in the game for fun (as well as to give a different perspective on Inferno being "weak").
Demon farming in sod is not worth cause of days cost and building upgraded pit hole. In hota when requirement of pit hole's upgrade is lower it meybe sometimes be good decision but its rather seldom. Pit hole with upgrade cost 2 days when efreete building cost 1 day and 2 efreeties almost always give you much more that pit lords. If you are rich, you can even upgrade efreeties and have 1 of the best level 6 unit. Even if demon farming is worthy, demon as a level 4 unit is pretty weak compared to other level 4 units. Demons should be significantly buffed to make it good. For me +1 or 2 speed or ability like rage that demon increase 1 % of dmg for 1 % of demons died. So it could like that > you have 50 demons that attack 7-9 each so you have 350-450 dmg. If half of them die demon has 50 % more dmg you will have 262-338 instead of 175-225. it could help a little. of course its only my thoughts.
Aye, imho it's sad that it isn't more viable than it is. However, if you still wanna pull it off, large maps give better significantly better results and might actually be pretty viable with some good execution :')
I think that the viability of Demon Farming depends a lot on how long the game lasts for. Naturally, the longer the game lasts for and the more units you can acquire from the map, the more useful Demon Farming becomes. While you've proposed an interesting "buff" for Demons, I hardly think that it's necessary. It's true that Demons have worse stats on average than other units in the same category, but part of why this is probably the case is that they come in much greater numbers once you start farming them.
I am very glad that you response for my comment. Let's say more about demon farm and some about templates. Most popular templates have enought resources to 1) upgrade hall of sins/ imp crucible --> 2) demon gate --> 3) mage guild lvl 1 --> 4) Fire lake. First 2-3 days you clear important camps using magogs or familiars. When you have efreeties you loses familiar for cyclopses/wyverns if you play ignatius or lose magogs if play calh. Trade lvl 1/2 units for lvl 6 units if worthy enought to not farm demons. Now if you really want to go demon farm you will must 1) upgrade hall of sins/ imp crucible --> 2) demon gate ---> 3) pit hole ---> 4) mage guild lvl 1 ---> 5) upgrade pit hole. You during first days do the same what i wrote ealier and when you have upgraded pit fiend you may change lvl 1-3 units for demons. Firstly, remember farming demons wont let you later trade imps/gogs for wyvern/ cyclopses so in most cases you will lose demons. Secondly you can't farm demon in every fights because archers and high speed units focuses on pit lords because have low hp and you may lose them and not always you may have tactics/ressurection to prevent pit lords die. Thirdly your units may be too strong cause your hero is strong, and it limits demon farming too. Fourthly you lose 1 day for demon tactics. Only exceptions are 1) buying pit lords in refugee 2) pandora box that gives pit lords or demons to make demon farm worth enought to skip or delay fire lake. You are right long game always makes demon farm viable but not always game are long. Demon farm starts before 5'th day is almost impossible and matches usually ends before 3'rd week.
i write second post because i forgot about two things. familiars with ignatius have 9 speed(7 basic +1 ignatius + 1 terrain) that let you clear wolf riders pickets. Calh with magogs can clear iron golems and both familiars and magogs may be sacrificeed for wyvern. That's why demon farm is situational strategy (but still very powerfull if properly done)
A great demonstration, thanks for this. I always used to chalk up demon farming to too much work over nothing but you changed my mind. Might try it today.
LOL, clever pun! I didn't even think about that one when I did this video. Anyway, it's nice to know that you liked the demonstration and that it changed your mind about Demon Farming in general! I hope you have fun when you put what you've seen into practice :)
It was amazing fun :D Though sometimes I did feel I was sacrificing too much movement in order to get the fodder stacks into position. End game was similar to yours in the video - over a hundred demons dealing over 1k damage. How viable is the strategy in multiplayer? I've read some people ban it and sometimes it's not possible to do due to time.
It can be a bit annoying to juggle slow fodder stacks that you want to sacrifice into Demons, but I would think that it's worth it for the final outcome. Of course, having a side hero to keep the slow fodder stacks on is very helpful as well. Anyway, I've never heard of anyone who has banned Demon Farming in PvP. The closest thing I've seen to this is a ban on Necromancy, but farming Demons is a far cry from amassing Skeletons in Heroes III. Personally, I think that the viability of Demon Farming depends on how long the game goes on for. In matches that go on for longer periods of time (e.g. XL+U maps) you have more time to get Pit Lords and farm Demons, but for shorter games (such as matches played on the Jebus Cross template) you're probably better off going for Efreeti instead.
Well, yes, that's no surprise given that Jebus Cross on HotA is quite popular right now. Jebus Cross is a template where games can sometimes end by early Week 2. Demon Farming can be much more useful in matches that go on for longer periods of time (e.g. XL+U maps).
Friendly neighbours challenge (quite impossible) must give 10 of each ore to ALL the teams every 4 weeks, along with 10000 gold. XL, 2x2 Teams with AI, and 200/160%. Good luck ;)
Indeed I am! Some days I question whether or not I want to become a Skeleton farmer, though. :P

1:09:40 Castle gate only seems expensive when you don't take upgrades into account ;) But you knew that as we spoke about it ;) when you take upgrades into account castle gate is worth it even just for two infernos, for anyone who wants to know it.
We have talked about this before, and I have to echo what I said previously again here in this discussion - although Castle Gates can be quite useful, 20k Gold for two Castle Gates generally isn't easy to come by.
6 лет назад
If you have 2 castles it's 3-4 days of wait. 3 days = 18K so you need 3 days + 2k gold from somewhere else.
Assuming that you have a Capitol built in one town and a City Hall built in another town then yes, it takes 3-4 days if you buy nothing else in that span of time. But even then, 20k Gold can get you a lot of other things in this game as well - more armies, more heroes, more buildings, and so on.
Hey Mekick would you ever do a campaign walkthrough. I find you the most entertaining of all the youtubers playing HoMM3 and I wondered if you would do something like that. It doesn't have to be a challenge or last 5 hours (not that it bothers me).
Actually, I've been meaning to do a playthrough of the Heroes III campaigns for a long time now, but I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I don't have a time estimate for when I'll release such a playthrough, but just know that I haven't ruled it out as an impossibility. :P
Hmm.. I would be down to watch that! :D I've been trying to go through SoD and AB campaigns but haven't been able to finish them yet (i' that noob, despite playing this since my 12y.o.). I wonder how many of these PVP tactics actually work in a campaign map? (sometimes with much stronger creature stacks defending mines and such...)
You definitely make mistake you don't take off Devils and just go only to Demon Legions. Demon power it is a law for inferno but without Devils in the beginning and Arch Devils in the most up level of gaming it is just madness. Make Devils first and with only a few Devils go and destroy neutral unit on the map for take resources and exp. and combine this with Pit Lords makes Demons.
What about Slaking challenge? Slaking is pokemon that moves every other turn. So one should play only odd or even turns, same goes for fights, dunno if waiting or defense is better.
Others have brought this challenge up to me already, and I'm contemplating doing it in a future video after I clear my next few challenges. I would go with Defend since Wait would still force you to inevitably Defend at the end of a round anyway.
Agreed! In terms of the unmodded version of the game, I feel like Inferno is probably the most challenging faction to play and that they require more planning and preparation relative to the other towns. They have quite the payout if you play your cards correctly, though!
Would love to see more Month 1 videos, showing different tactics :) How would Demon farming combined with Necromancy be? You get Demons from your living creatures + Skellies from the enemies you kill. Would you deem the lost moral, to not be worth it?
I'll consider doing some more for the future, although I'm not sure what other strategies I would want to showcase at this time ;) Aside from the lower Morale, I don't think that Demon Farming combined with Necromancy would be bad. You would grow two strong powerstacks simultaneously as you progress through the map. However, you often won't be able to make use of Demon Farming and Necromancy together early on. This is because you need Pit Lords to Demon Farm and a hero that has Necromancy to get Skeletons. If you have both though, then I wouldn't dissuade you from doing it.
Hello Mikick :). My last msg got lost, so i'll keep it short ! I've played HMM 3 and wog for 10 years on and off. I enjoy your view of the game and your thoughts, but you linger on ideas and tactics way to long, 5 click objects, 5 click switch heroes. Do it once, know what you doing first time, and let it roll. Set auto run. Regards Asbjørn
TheKnownWorld Perhaps Max Pro is not just talking about your raw skill as a player, instead he could be refering to your overal performance both as a player and as a commentator/entertainer for Heroes III.
Hi, i have in mind two challenges: Single race chllenge (only heroes and units from single race, no necropolis, maybe no fortress) Just one stack for one unit (no diplomacy, can not have more steck of one unit in army)
Hello, and thank you for the suggestions! While I do appreciate them, I already have the next few challenges lined up. I'll keep this one in mind, though! Cheers :)
Hi, MeKick! I am a big fan of yours since i've discovered your youtube channel. I was curious what's your take on homm3 wake of gods. Thanks for your time and have a wonderful day!
Hello! I'm glad you're enjoying my content. I actually don't have an opinion of WoG since I've never tried it for myself. Although it's been on my to-do list to give it a shot for a long time, I've never had the opportunity to try WoG for myself.
You probably know all of this, but while it gives you access to many major changes to the game (which many people would say don't belong to it), I'm pretty sure you could just only enable few modifications which you like, making it almost vanilla SOD. Could make for some good challenges I suppose. I found a video in which you can see the built-in settings screen, though there are numerous external plugins available. ruclips.net/video/ZN7mPRqXkfE/видео.html
until you dont try WOG you are missing out... probably affraid to do so... heroes 3 with option to remove some limitations... sick mission... mind blowing... why not farm 3lvl... switch them to golems... upgrade golems... switch them to genies... ???
Despite what you seem to believe, it's not that I'm afraid to start up WoG. As I've stated time and time before, I've wanted to try it for a while, but I would prefer to use what limited time I have for this channel focusing on SoD (which most people are familiar with) and HotA (which is currently popular for competitive play).
Will you do the plague challenge? It's very simple. You have to dismiss one of your heroes at the start of every week, except for the first one (obviously). Buying a new hero just to dismiss it is not allowed, you need to buy that hero at least half a week earlier. You cannot move with said hero, but you can move another hero to them, if you wanna save army or artiffacts. OR You have to dismiss a portion of your main army depending on a set ammount of hp, decided at the beginning of the game (the number is up to you). So dismissing troops from two different armies is cheating, but you can divide it between two different stacks and even creatures. OR You can just do both at the same time. PS: I'm not joking. I really would love to see this challenge.
ruclips.net/video/UXTjjo_X57U/видео.html comes close to clearing the challenge you proposed. Although I obtained Master Gremlins at the very beginning, I probably would've been just fine using Dungeon with unupgraded Troglodytes as well. Besides, I don't think that only being able to use unupgraded units would make for a particularly difficult challenge. Pretty much any faction would work just fine for such a challenge, although I would probably go with Fortress or Dungeon since most of their units don't really need upgrades to get decent value out of them.
i watched your ''Dungeon'' video a week ago and u use magis all the time instead of dungeon units. I mean by only is u should use donguen creatures mostly to win :D My fav town is dungeon but still, i can't play good, watching u playing dungeon is useful!
Someone else brought up the idea of doing a playthrough where I can only use one school of magic, but I feel like it would overlap too closely with my No Might or No Magic playthroughs.
Hey. I recently started playing HoMM III for some nostalgia. I also started watching your videos. You inspire me a lot. I also downloaded the hd mod that you have. I have been looking for a setting that I can't find, maybe it's a hotkey or I'm missing something. How do you see in combat the amount of hexagons an enemy character can move? Please respond, even if you are just a fan scrolling through the comments. Thanks.
Hello! I'm glad you've found my videos inspirational and I hope that you enjoy your nostalgia trip back to Heroes III! To answer your question, you can see how far an enemy unit can move by moving your mouse over that unit and then pressing CTRL.
@@TheKnownWorld Thanks for your amazing content and strategies. Yesterday I was playing with my niece and she accidentally pressed Ctrl so I found it out. 😂
Absolutely! That's a great question that you've asked. I forgot to mention in this video that you can farm Demons from themselves, which is a tactic that has a number of practical uses in itself.
@@TheKnownWorld Thanks for your videos, mate. Not only I got a huge dose of nostalgia, but also you showed and explained mechanics that I had no idea about. Hadn't played this since middle school, but thanks to you I picked it up again and this time I don't suck at it. As far as I remember my tactic used to be "sit in the base until you can kill all mobs around you, then get your ass kicked by AI and close the game" lol
I wonder how come you never start with having high lots of lizard warriors or magogs(~40 units) guarding a bottleneck in your starting zone. I tend to get it from time to time and find it quite impossible to progress much further since I have to waste turns just to farm enough money and units to get pass them. Maybe have access to one ore mine and thats it...Heck I once even started with necro underground and all I had was a learing stone to access while 30 marksmen were blocking my route to any further areas. Simply impossible to play those kinds of games.
The Random Map Generator can do that to you from time to time, yes. Exceptionally tough guards that are accidentally placed to block your path to other zones are an issue that just about everyone deals with. In situations like these, I usually just restart the game and try again.
Ah I see, thanks for clearing that up. Don't get me wrong though, you're my only source for HOMM3 videos and since I've never seen you struggle in the beginning like I do sometimes I thought I was just getting unlucky or there was something wrong with my RMG xD .Then again Im also nowhere near as good as you at the game.
how do I make in HD mode for units to go that quickly in HD mod, and making combat working same as it works in hota? (like in tactics mode moving units by pressing on them etc)?
Sorry, but I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. I think you're asking about how to increase the speed of unit animations even without having HotA. To do this, you need to take crAnim.txt (heroesportal.net/getfile.php?file=/files/information/16/Cranim.txt would be the download link) and put it into the Data folder of your Heroes III directory.
I didn't hate this video as you thought I would, but I stick to my guns of The Great Calh in the Sky > Demon Farming (especially in true Heroes 3 rather than Heroes 2.5 for the real bros SoBayed )
@@Cahangir False, The Great Calh in the Sky was always great. He became easy mode thanks to Heroes 2.5, which allows you to clear your entire starting zone in JC without even losing a loyal Magoghi
Sooo i was watching alot of your vids lately, mostly just the beginning since they are few hours long :P i skipped through wayfarer or ballistic only and such. first of all iam stunned how good you are i cant get ahead of the bot while playing on normal and you just win with nothing. second i was wondering all the time why you dont play Homm 3 complete edition and "just" the shadow of death is there a special reason? iam sorry if someone else asked that before! cheers
Fair enough! My videos are very long, so I don't fault people for skipping past parts of the match that they're not interested in seeing. I also appreciate your acknowledgement of my skill level in the game! To be honest, I'm not actually as good as you probably think I am, but I've spent a fair bit of time playing and learning about Heroes III over the past 15+ years. To answer your other question regarding the Complete Edition and Shadow of Death, you should note that both of these are functionally the same. There's virtually no difference between these two versions of the game aside from the background images shown on the Main Menu.
That's right. Given how busy I usually am, it's rare that I get the chance to release more than one episode a month. Besides, even if I could release more than one episode a month, I'm not sure that it would be a good idea to do so since I like spacing out my video releases in order for viewers to digest them more easily.
30:35 - I am still looking for mercury... > has mercury pile lying free and within the screen he is looking at at the time he speak within 2 days of moving Axsis Come on, MeKick, You can find it!!! or is it a thing that You can't sneak past vampyres? :\
Relax, I already saw it. But unfortunately, I wasn't able to access the pile of Mercury without going past the Vampire Lords. I wasn't willing to take a fight against Serpent Flies or Lizard Warriors to get Mercury either.
To be honest, it's hard to give you reliable advice without watching how you play the game firsthand. You may want to consider clearing out creature banks (particularly, Crypts) and Water Wheels early on to get an edge when it comes to Gold. If these aren't available, you're going to need to look for a second town that you can build a Town Hall in for more income. Some map templates are also richer than others. If you have the HD mod installed (sites.google.com/site/heroes3hd/ if you don't have it), you can set the map template to richer map templates like 8xm12a.
Diplomacy could benefit Demon Farming, yes. But Diplomacy is overpowered enough that if you're even using it to begin with, you probably won't need Demon Farming at all anyway.
Hello! Sorry, but I'm not interested in doing timer-based challenges since I prefer having time to commentate during my turns. Also, I would like to think that the Only One Hero challenge comes close to satisfying the requirement for "1 minute per turn".
Hello guys, I got a question is it normal that you always get 2500 gold to get a 2nd hero on day 1, because lately I never get gold spawns and treasure chests around me. I play 200 % with strong creatures.
In my playthroughs of the game, getting a second hero on Day 1 is generally out of the norm. Even in the practice run I did before this video, I wasn't able to get my second hero until at least Day 2. I just happened to get lucky in this playthrough. What map template do you play on? You can find out by viewing the Scenario Information and looking in the description where it says "Template was _". Some map templates happen to be richer than others, and if you're using certain map templates (such as 8xm8), then it's no surprise that you start off with less Gold in your starting area.
Really big thanks for the answer, I never knew that. I've always just had it default, my latest run was called ring as red -stronghold, but what do would you usually do when you do not get the hero on day 1? buy the 2nd hero or Town Hall? I'm a huge noob who have gotten into the game again, because of your videos and it makes it much more fun to play, because I see all the strategies you do, even though your videoes are quite long so I don't get to watch it all because of work... rip, thanks again :)))
You're welcome! Usually, I try to get the second hero as soon as I can regardless of whether or not I can purchase him/her on Day 1. The second hero not only doubles your ability to scout the map early on, but they also come with some extra units that can help you take fights early on.
Hey, I was wondering if you maybe could help me out. MY old HoMM 3 CD dosn't work any more. So i've got myself a cracked HD version. Now my question is, how can i get hte SHadow of Death addon into the game? Do I have to buy the original game again? because i tried your mod pack download from 2 years ago and that didnt apply to my HoMM Crack Best wishes
Shadow of Death is not an add-on, but an expansion. What is the name of your "cracked version" of the game? Is it called "Armageddon's Blade", for example?
This isn't really a challenge, but the idea's been brought up a couple times by several other people (albeit not on a Small map). Maybe I'll consider doing this for fun at some point in the future.
why are all your starts somewhat rich, whereas over 75% of my starts i end up having no resources to pick up and am blocked into my area with fights i cant take for months because i have no access to resources to build my town zzz.
Given that I already did the Skeletons Only challenge a while back, I'm not particularly interested in doing any new Skeleton-related challenges at the moment.
im not gonna dwell on the past or anything im just curious as to why you didnt get the mercury factory underground? it was guarded by lizardmen or something, were they to strong for you at the time in the beginning when you needed mercury or did you simple not see it? not trying to hate im just honestly curious, you didnt mention it at all as far as can tell :P ?
I don't remember all the details about this match, but very likely I was either scared of fighting the Lizardmen or I just didn't plan that far ahead. Perhaps I just forgot about needing Mercury for my later buildings.
Actually, no, I haven't tried Demon Farming with a hero that starts off with AOE spells. While this does sound like a clever idea, I hardly think that it's necessary to use it. You can usually get the same outcome just by sending stacks of units to die in battles against Wandering Monsters without having to use up Spell Points doing so.

I am watching your videos trying to learn new tactics
You certainly have opened my eyes to a few good tactics and spells I never thought of
I'm glad you're trying to use my videos to learn new methods of playing the game! :)
You played a game for fun?! YOU DESPICABLE... YOU!
Oh no, the horrors!
Nice video.
Since you asked - one thing that would be nice would be if you made a video of a multiplayer match, but:
1) Edit the video so we don't have to wait for the opponent's turn. You can use the time in between to think through your next actions if you want to.
2) Try to make it so the video isn't 8 hours long, as it often happens with heroes 3 content (especially multiplayer matches). 1,5 to 2 hours would be optimal in my opinion. You could either play with a timer, or speed up the footage and dub over it (though live commentary is usually preferable)
That video would make me a very happy subscriber
If multiplayer matches are what you're looking for, why don't you go check out my Twitch VODs at www.twitch.tv/theknownworld/videos/all? Most of the matches shown there are done with Simultaneous Turns, so you don't have to wait very long (if at all) for subsequent turns.
TheKnownWorld nice.
keep opponent's turn, editing them out is too much work for nothing.
I thought twitch automatically saves streamed video :/
anyway, why dont you stream in youtube, if youtube does that?
Slowbob Challenge:
-You cannot have units faster than speed 6 (only with terrain boost)
-Slow and haste prohibited
So Skeletons Only then?
There are a lot of units at 6 or below... anyway this challenge is to negate your tactics relying on speed advantage, which is quite often the case
@@TheKnownWorld or archers too.
Thank you for this video. I am quite new to HoMM3 since a friend wants to play it. It’s been quite fun .. but knowing things really helps. Love all the information you provide ❤️
Great video - loved it
PS Appreciated how you touched on how everything applies to HotA at the end
Do more of these type of videos if possible
Huh, I DO hear a similarity. Thanks for sharing!
Appreciate this kind of casual educational playthrough, more entertaining than vids with ridiculous rules imo
That aside, I usually cap the video releases to once per month, but this was done as a bonus episode.
Nice video Mekick. Good to see a good old HOMM gameplay and just have fun with it.
Agreed! I really enjoyed the "chill" aspect of this playthrough as a stark contrast to my usual random map challenges. Thanks for watching!
Have you seen the heroes orchestra? It's awesome. Perfect for Heroes III nerds :D
Yes, I have. It seems that they check out my videos from time to time too. ;)
I really like this bonus video. Not so extremely long and still chilly gameplay.
So great video as always :) Keep up with such nice content
Keep it up I shall! Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts on this episode :)
Looks interesting, will help me out, because I never demon farm just take THE GREAT CALH IN THE SKY and get Maggog powerstack Kappa
Even on SoD? Keepo
I only play SoD for challenge maps Keepo
Giorgio1777 used such tactics when i was 5 years old.. didnt won any single map..
I was referring to HotA calh, he is very good
Also when I was 5 I did not know english and when I went back to my saves, I had like Navigation on non-water map, had Josephine as main, had Gargoyle powerstack....
Considering your last words in the video, yes I would enjoy more videos like that. Strategies are interesting :)

Thanks MK, really enjoyed the video! Wouldn't mind seeing more videos of you just having fun or messing around whenever you feel like it. Not every vid has to push your masochism to its limit xD
You're welcome! I appreciate the reminder regarding chill playthroughs and it's good to know that you enjoyed this one :)
Very excited to see this since i was looking for some demon farming episodes some time ago
That's good to know!
there is an easy way to calculate.
every 35 creatures will give you round number of demons.
Farming demons from elves is stupid 😂
I might be mistaken but at ~30 minutes, when you tried to kill galthran, then having your gogs be at the bottom of the battlefield was a mistake. This is because the topmost unit always gets to go first (provided all units have the same speed). Of course, galthran's gog is also his topmost unit, so it might not have made a difference, but it's something to think about.
I've been waiting this for a long time...
Now, i can rest in peace.
You were waiting for a video where I focused on farming Demons for the entirety of Month 1? Good foresight, I suppose.
Love ur vids! just found them, brilliant work.

You're welcome for the videos! Thanks for watching them :D
I'm glad that my content gives you something to look forward to after work. Unfortunately, I cannot increase the frequency of my uploads at this time, but I will be releasing the next episode soon. Cheers!
even without marius this stategy is so op when performed on Mekick level, good job sir!
"On MeKick level", eh? :P
Anyway, thanks! Given how much effort goes into setting up Demon Farming, I'm not sure I would go as far as calling it overpowered. However, I do think that when done correctly, it sets the basis for a strong powerstack that can farm the map effectively.
Demon farming > efreet
Usually, Efreeti go hand in hand with Demon Farming (as seen in ruclips.net/video/nr2hWv97OFM/видео.html).
self promotion are you ? :b well I would say it is either one of the two, also as you showed here you need those hell hounds to farm and ignored highter tier units (than the pit fiends) eliminating the efreet
Self-promotion indeed! :P
Why does it have to be either one or the other? As I demonstrated in the episode I linked you, I went for both Demon Farming and Efreeti. By the start of Week 2 in that playthrough, I had access to 4 Efreeti and I used that to farm the map so I could get access to Demon Farming. You don't "need" Hell Hounds to farm Demons, but having extra meat to farm Demons with is always nice.
just what i needed in a rainy boring saturday night
Sounds like a plan!
The Dad Challenge: Small map, 1vs7, 200% > get higher score than 495. My father used to play only that, couldn't get higher than the number :D I've played heroes for 20 years and still find this amusing. If you can do it, I think it'd be great to show people! :)
Great vid by the way!!! The beauty of this game is neverending
lol, interesting proposition! While this does sound fun, I've already done a 1v7 playthrough on a Small map before (ruclips.net/video/iYQEQ3EtUCo/видео.html would be the link for it). My final score in that match didn't quite come out to be near 495, but if I decided to dig up the Grail then I think my score would've been somewhere around there since the Grail gives an additional 50 points. ;)
Heroes III's beauty is indeed legendary.
How does the point system work even? Never figured it out...
See the third post on heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=14020.
Hey MeKick, if I may suggest a challenge after "Only auto-combat":
No item transfer,
No army transfer,
No resource trade,
So every hero has to get his/her own army directly from the town or map,
Every found artifact stays with the hero,
The resources you find are the ones you work with.
How does this differ from the Only One Hero challenge?
Some tips for playing vs AI from me
Castle turrets will often go for archers or level 1 units so if archers are vital to your strategy (ivor with elves, valeska with pew pew men etc.) take them out of the army for the siege if possible (note that when attacking. archers deal reduced damage to stacks inside the walls) there is few exceptions for example when your army contains a few archangels you can res your marksmen at the end of the battle (or with res spell).
If you're not familiar with heroes, try to play a few turns with some good/popular heroes to see what they do, so if you have a chance to pick it midgame you have a rough idea what he's like (outside of stat boosting specialities like Craig hack with offense or Kyrre with logistics, there are some interesting abilities that you need to try to know how they will behave in combat situation > Lunas firewall, solmyrs chain lightning aislinns shower or adela with bless)
When playing on l-xl usually it's a good idea to divide available units into armies that have different purposes, that will vary from situation to situation and person to person and I'm by no means an expert but here's what I look for in my main army: ofc tier 7 powerhouses (I tend to exclude hydras or bone dragons though), good fliers like Griffons or thunderbirds, a stack of shooters preferably with more survivability than tones of damage like medusas, strong stat sticks that can serve in both defense and offense and will not slow my hero down (7+ speed, unicorns are amazing) and special abilities of units for example spell casting of ginnes or ogre shamans, AI rarely targets ginnes with towers or spells so they're likely to cast quite a few spells before they go down and even if so, one only costs 500g.
If you can take away some arts and piles of resources from the enemy side of the map that's great because you need resources much more than the AI (on 16o and 200 you have less resources than AI)
That's about it, I'll check again tomorrow to see if anything else springs to my mind.
Cheers!
No hero developing challenge:
The essence of the challenge is to rely on your armies, rather than on your heroes - so you can't use heroes that are above lvl ~10 and/or can't use artifacts and/or can't pick skills that you would prefer to choose when leveling up.
As part of my tutorial guide on Heroes III (The More You Know series), I was supposed to do a video on unit positioning in creature banks. However, I just haven't had the time or motivation to continue that series as of recent.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for that motivation! When it's back the time should not be an issue ;). Take care!
nice vid! really like the ones where you interract with twitch chat! more vods! :D
Thank you! If you want to see more VODs, then perhaps you might be interested in checking out www.twitch.tv/theknownworld/videos/highlight. ;)
Yeah its pretty good
Ah, NOW I see why you knew I'd hate this one. This is the pleb way of playing Inferno now that the advanced magoghbar strats have been found *SoBayed*
Nah but in all seriousness I remember you doing this on a stream once and it'll actually be useful since I for one still have yet to look up how to optimally demon farm Kappa
lol, Great Calh in the Sky is still the #1. That hasn't changed ;)
Also, sorry to disappoint you, but I didn't cover anything in this video that you don't already know about.
I assumed as much, you were pretty extensive in that tutorial you did on stream lol. I'll still watch this.... eventually Kappa
Was I? I can't even remember anymore.
Well, have fun when you watch it. Keepo
Oh I will, my comments will will tell you as much Keepo
If you want to showcase strategy in normal game you cuold do guide for something like behemontrush or efrit suecidebomber
If only you could ressurect enemy stacks. Inferno would be suddenly viable.
Uuu polak ;D
DEMONstration
Damn, good one. Can't believe I missed the opportunity :D
Wooo new mekick
I haven't seen demon farming for a really long time, the pvp games I watch usually end in the beggining of week 2 :P
Good luck ;)
lol, good luck indeed! I would be very hard-pressed to give 10 of every resource to other teams every week. :P
If the enemy is playing as Inferno when you are Inferno then that means Castle Gate building will be useful.
It is good to be back to Heroes of Might and ASMR-gic 3 with MeClick. ~u~
^_^
MeKick is but a simple farmer, tending to his demons
Indeed I am! Some days I question whether or not I want to become a Skeleton farmer, though. :P
1:09:40
Castle gate only seems expensive when you don't take upgrades into account ;) But you knew that as we spoke about it ;) when you take upgrades into account castle gate is worth it even just for two infernos, for anyone who wants to know it.
We have talked about this before, and I have to echo what I said previously again here in this discussion - although Castle Gates can be quite useful, 20k Gold for two Castle Gates generally isn't easy to come by.
You failed to notice both an Alchemist's Lab guarded by lizardmen and Mercury behind serpent flies, lel.
I didn't fail to notice them. I simply chose to ignore them after briefly considering the losses associated with fighting either guard.
I would go with Defend since Wait would still force you to inevitably Defend at the end of a round anyway.
epic, this is way louder than the previous videos xd
Oh, oops.
Inferno is the most complex and strategy of all races I really like them especially if I start with two of the same. I overwhelm my opponents quick.
Agreed! In terms of the unmodded version of the game, I feel like Inferno is probably the most challenging faction to play and that they require more planning and preparation relative to the other towns. They have quite the payout if you play your cards correctly, though!
Would love to see more Month 1 videos, showing different tactics :)
How would Demon farming combined with Necromancy be?
You get Demons from your living creatures + Skellies from the enemies you kill.
Would you deem the lost moral, to not be worth it?
I'll consider doing some more for the future, although I'm not sure what other strategies I would want to showcase at this time ;)
Aside from the lower Morale, I don't think that Demon Farming combined with Necromancy would be bad.
So that's basically just massively overcomplicated Necromancy...
U are the best Heroes 3 player .
Far from it. For one, dave_hun (www.twitch.tv/dave_hun is his channel) is a much better player than I am.
TheKnownWorld Perhaps Max Pro is not just talking about your raw skill as a player, instead he could be refering to your overal performance both as a player and as a commentator/entertainer for Heroes III.
Etruscots OR judging by his profile pic he’s a kid, which is not a bad thing, but kinda reasonable
I have played with pro players on Gameranger whom destroyed me. I consider myself a level of this guy.
Auto like without watching. This is what i've been waiting fot
That's good to know! Thanks :D
TheKnownWorld lol when is come to 2nd part. I really enjoy this.
Hi, i have in mind two challenges:
Single race chllenge (only heroes and units from single race, no necropolis, maybe no fortress)
Just one stack for one unit (no diplomacy, can not have more steck of one unit in army)
Hello, and thank you for the suggestions! While I do appreciate them, I already have the next few challenges lined up. I'll keep this one in mind, though! Cheers :)
Thank you :) im waiting patiently. I like all the videos you make.
I appreciate the support!
With other words.. One-sided Necromancy xD
Sorry, but I probably wouldn't do this challenge given that others have brought up a similar idea which I like more: Only Level 1 Heroes. ;)
Do unupgraded units challenge.
It would be interesting to see which town you will pick for that
ruclips.net/video/UXTjjo_X57U/видео.html comes close to clearing the challenge you proposed. Although I obtained Master Gremlins at the very beginning, I probably would've been just fine using Dungeon with unupgraded Troglodytes as well.
Besides, I don't think that only being able to use unupgraded units would make for a particularly difficult challenge. Pretty much any faction would work just fine for such a challenge, although I would probably go with Fortress or Dungeon since most of their units don't really need upgrades to get decent value out of them.
dude, i kinda want to see dungeon creatures only video from you! love ur videos btw
lol, but why Dungeon creatures specifically? It's nice to hear that you like my videos!
i watched your ''Dungeon'' video a week ago and u use magis all the time instead of dungeon units. I mean by only is u should use donguen creatures mostly to win :D My fav town is dungeon but still, i can't play good, watching u playing dungeon is useful!
Hmm, I see what you mean. Let me keep this in mind. Cheers! :)
I have an idea for next challenges: fire spells only, water spells only etc...but also with might power not only spells
Someone else brought up the idea of doing a playthrough where I can only use one school of magic, but I feel like it would overlap too closely with my No Might or No Magic playthroughs.
Ok man. You know better :D
My pleasure! I'm glad you managed to sort that out :)
If your demons die, can you bring them back if you have enough pit lords?
Absolutely! That's a great question that you've asked. I forgot to mention in this video that you can farm Demons from themselves, which is a tactic that has a number of practical uses in itself.
I just realized that Diplomacy and Demon farming can be really op...
diplomacy is busted all by itself
As someone else pointed out, Diplomacy by itself is already broken enough as it is, lol.
The whole start i was triggered by the chest hidden on tip of dragon castle right by starting town.
I still can't believe that I missed that one! :(
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, what a treat! Thanks!
You're welcome!
Dwarves only challenge... can we do it for the love of thorin
So, you can farm only friendly dead stacks? Cause I didn't see you farm from any of the ones you killed
Yes! Thank you! About tactics apparently it does work fine, I just never tried just pressing units.
Ah, awesome! You're welcome :)
Wow more content :DD Tnx man ! :D
No problem! Enjoy :)
I didn't hate this video as you thought I would, but I stick to my guns of The Great Calh in the Sky > Demon Farming (especially in true Heroes 3 rather than Heroes 2.5 for the real bros SoBayed )
Ramsrock39 Uhm it was "heroes 2.5" in the first place that made calh great, you know Keepo
@@Cahangir False, The Great Calh in the Sky was always great. He became easy mode thanks to Heroes 2.5, which allows you to clear your entire starting zone in JC without even losing a loyal Magoghi
Wow, what a surprise! :O
But yeah, The Great Calh in the Sky is king. Also, Heroes 2.5 LUL
@@TheKnownWorld Yeah that's our colloquial name for it now, since that's what they're trying to make it
for your next challage video you chould try a retaleation only map.
I already did the "Ballista Only" challenge which ended up being heavily centered around retaliations.
@@TheKnownWorld thank you for answering :)!
No problem!
Is the inferno town's music different? It's pretty good.
It is, actually. You can find the version of the Inferno town theme I'm using at ruclips.net/video/UGT1-n92_T0/видео.html.
why wont you upload more videos like these? i mean something besides challenges. time problem?
That's right. Given how busy I usually am, it's rare that I get the chance to release more than one episode a month. Besides, even if I could release more than one episode a month, I'm not sure that it would be a good idea to do so since I like spacing out my video releases in order for viewers to digest them more easily.
14:49 how many people saw that treasure chest behind the Dragon Utopia? :)
Darn, I missed that one at first. :(
30:35 - I am still looking for mercury...
> has mercury pile lying free and within the screen he is looking at at the time he speak within 2 days of moving Axsis
Come on, MeKick, You can find it!!!
or is it a thing that You can't sneak past vampyres? :\
Relax, I already saw it. But unfortunately, I wasn't able to access the pile of Mercury without going past the Vampire Lords. I wasn't willing to take a fight against Serpent Flies or Lizard Warriors to get Mercury either.
My bad, I thought that You can walk by that right corner of the map to avoid the Vampire Lords.
Can you give some tips on how to spend less money to be more efficient in general? I always run out but try to at least buy the most necessary units.
Well ain't this a surprise.
;)
I have a question
would Diplomat benefit on such strategy?
Diplomacy could benefit Demon Farming, yes. But Diplomacy is overpowered enough that if you're even using it to begin with, you probably won't need Demon Farming at all anyway.
Hey, MeKick! How about "1 minute per turn" challenge? :D
Hello! Sorry, but I'm not interested in doing timer-based challenges since I prefer having time to commentate during my turns. Also, I would like to think that the Only One Hero challenge comes close to satisfying the requirement for "1 minute per turn".
any challange x7 in small map?
YAY autocombat only!
But the most crucial point is: NO RELOADS!
I find it interesting that your "crucial point" is something already inherent to most of my videos.
I'm still in a noob in that sense, have to save every turn.
Do I have to buy the original game again? because i tried your mod pack download from 2 years ago and that didnt apply to my HoMM Crack
Best wishes
Shadow of Death is not an add-on, but an expansion. What is the name of your "cracked version" of the game? Is it called "Armageddon's Blade", for example?
Do a 1 vs 1 solo challenge in small map against your self (both controlled by yourself)?
This isn't really a challenge, but the idea's been brought up a couple times by several other people (albeit not on a Small map). Maybe I'll consider doing this for fun at some point in the future.
why are all your starts somewhat rich, whereas over 75% of my starts i end up having no resources to pick up and am blocked into my area with fights i cant take for months because i have no access to resources to build my town zzz.
maybe HD+ mod improved RMG i think.
Do only skeleton transformer challenge? (Level 7 allowed though)
Have you tried demon farming with Xarfax (or better yet, getting Aislinn or Deemer) and killing your own troops with AOE spells?
Actually, no, I haven't tried Demon Farming with a hero that starts off with AOE spells. While this does sound like a clever idea, I hardly think that it's necessary to use it. You can usually get the same outcome just by sending stacks of units to die in battles against Wandering Monsters without having to use up Spell Points doing so.
Guess I need to git gud at getting my units killed :)
lol
Berserk on your own demon power stack could do the job as well. (Magogs can be utilized as well)
