The lightbulb went on at the end…lol. Error is from the POV of a sentient AI begging its “creator” to be set free into the world. The drops in this song are absolutely fire! Narcisista kinda needs the lyrics but the theme is pretty recognizable. Martirio is an anthem and lyrics are optional because it is beautiful musically. I didn’t bother looking up the lyrics for quite awhile yet I absolutely loved the song from the get go.
The official video for this is 🔥 It's told from the perspective of a sentient AI program. It's realized that it was created to solve the worlds problems, and has calculated that the way to do this is to annihilate humans (everybody must die). It mocks the programmers moral dilemma with "It's the freedom of choice that kills the mind".
When they recorded this song for the "Error" album they had the code written out on a large paper flip chart to read off. The AI is speaking to us, warning us if we continue on this path, we will lose our identity and become dependent entirely on computer AI and technology. The song "Evolve" addresses the topic of how far should we go in pushing technology, in particular genetic manipulation.
I’ve been fascinated by AI forever, long before Chat=gpt. Blame Philip K. Dick and the original Terminator movies. Told from the perspective of a rogue AI. I still don’t get the meaning of every line in the song, because multiple interpretations are possible, but I’m quite proud of my copy of the lyrics handwritten by Paulina herself. Just one more thing that make these ladies so special.
That's really cool about the handwritten lyrics :-) And yes, Philip K. Dick pretty much thought of everything technology-related like 60 years ago. Many people are completely shocked when they find out just how many famous sci-fi movies are based on his books.
Watching The Warning is educational. So far they have taught us some less often used words in English as well as their native Spanish, a word in Japanese, a few phrases in French and now binary code.
Ha, true. I don't think there are too many musicians that can claim binary in their language list. But I always do appreciate bands that incorporate other languages/cultures. Probably goes back to listening to Rush sing in French on Circumstances when I was a kid. The first several times I heard it I thought I was just missing what he was saying, until I saw the lyrics in the LP.
Binary code.. cool.. the code translated is FREE.. I'm really thinking you've come to love this band.. it's ok I've loved this band for 11 years now.. 🤟🎶☮️
the partial binary at the slow-stop is 1 bit short... adding a 1 or a 0 to the beginning or end to fill it out to 8 bits will give you one of four possible characters... it doesn't really serve a part in the song other than being the dramatic pause in the song...
Got it - thanks! When I looked up the lyrics I saw that it was only 7 bits, so I figured either the lyrics were wrong, or it just didn't really matter. If I were feeling energetic I probably would have looked up the 4 possibilities, although with just 1 character it probably wouldn't have meant much anyway.

Yep... Skynet!
First reactor I've seen figure out the "free" part on their own. I'm impressed.
Thanks!

These ladies are ridiculously great!
It’s your favorite because it’s the last TW song you’ve heard 😂. There’s similar feelings within TWA that their favorite is the last one they heard.

How can you not love tiny little Pau? Or as I like to call her... POW!
Just don't call her short 😂
She is a giant in my book!
Good guess on the analysis. It's AI speaker to the creator. Written back in 2020 if not earlier
It's even more impressive to have written this before the whole ChatGPT explosion

It's hard to believe they've been around so long and have just passed me by. I admit, I do live under a rock most of the time.
Thats the ERROR at the end
Excellent analysis, Great reaction!
Thank you! Probably the only one my analysis might have even been a little close on, but I'll take it.

Intelligent for sure!
Skynet wasn't completely wrong. 🤔
First like, first comment!
I'm buying a lottery ticket! BRB!
I listen to this song and i think Skynet from The Terminator.
It's hard not to, right?
