Hundreds ran to danger to try save them and make a difference. It's always a rich man's war and poor man's fight. Thank you to the men and women who died doing the best they could for others. May your souls rest in peace in God's hands eternally.

FDNY-more than 214 FDNY units-112 engines, 58 ladder trucks, five rescue companies, seven squad companies, four marine units, dozens of chiefs, and numerous command, communication, and support units. Non FDNY hard to say but many from NJ, Long Island initially and surrounding States in the days to follow.

Umm, good question I don't actually know. But I could tell you, what apparatus was lost, some of em anyway. (Not full list Engines 1, 6, 10, Ladders 3, 10, Rescues 1, 2. At least 8+ battalion units. Divisions 1 and 8. Multiple Squads, along with 35 other units including EMS
@@bloodravensterminator8594 Chicago FD and Newark FD also went. Newark FD went even though they were repeatedly told by Dispatch if you go you getting fired. Yeah Brass never went through with that threat.
Also I forgot to add, only one Firehouse on Staten Island actually went to the towers on 9/11, it was Engine 160, Rescue 5, Division 8. Rescue 5 made it back. D8 lost there SUV and 160 I don't quite remember from the list. Staten Island only sent so few units because when ever it has a Major alarm Brooklyn has to send units.
