- I believe I found the largest toaster oven you can buy and I'm going to use it for powder coating. In this video you will see unboxing, temperature tests and review of Oster Extra Large Digital Countertop Convection Oven (model: TSSTTVDGXL-SHP).

Awesome and informative. Thanks a lot.
Thank you love the information!!
Great video
Awesome
Great thumbnail btw
any risk that the convection fan could disturb the powder before it sets?
Good review im adding Powder coating to my ch. Can you tell me if a 16oz tumbler will fit inside... If so ill use your link. Keep up the good work and the Subscribers will come..
Yes it will, but you will have to flip oven on the side (electronics side down or it could burn out your electronics). I just did a 30 oz tumbler this way, came out great (on second try)! Keep in mind that hot air rises. Because you have temperature sensor on the bottom it will report wrong temperature. It will be a lot hotter on top. I found I had to reduce my preset temp to 300-350 in order not to burn paint (I burned mine off on the first try) in this configuration. Use your hand held IR thermometer to check temperature of the tumbler and adjust accordingly.
I added link to thermometer, if you don't have one, it's absolutely essential for powder coating.
@@madeinbasement Appreciate info.. I have thermo gun for screen printing. Had alot of customers coming in asking about powed coat tumblers... Thanks for info.
Can a toaster oven also be used to REMOVE powder coating?
So can the convection fan be turned on and off ?
Man, using pizza oven is a great idea. They all go above 400C because pizzas are originally made in those nice furnaces. I got another use idea and am quite curious - will it melt zinc?
Zink melting point is 787.2°F, so no it would not :)
@@madeinbasement Zamak should be below 400C. They say you can melt it on stove.
@@peteabc1 Ah very interesting alloy! I'll check it out!
price went up $50 on that oven
