What's in these 5 Dryhead rough agates? 4K
In this video, I will take you with me on my thoughtprocess of how I cut a 5 Dryhead Agates.
Cutting agates is not as easy as it may seem, a lot of thought goes into it, and sometimes difficult decisions need to be made. I explain how to place a cut to avoid windows in the husk of an agate and many more details that are helpful to know, if you want to cut agates.
Agates are truly amazing pieces of art, made by mother nature, but there is only one way to reveal their beauty: Cutting the agate.
I hope you enjoy this video.

I have to admit I've never heard of dry head agates so I've just learned something new. 😊
I like agate #2 and I see a face in agate #3. Thanks again for your videos.

It's truly hard to find large nodules of Dry Head anymore. My friend that I cut with just bought 5 lbs. of 3" to 5" rough nodules and half were good. Some fracturing.
Tee Pee Canyon Agate is another beautiful agate that comes from an area in South Dakota with similar colors but different colored matrix (tan). They are also hard to find "A" grade nodules of good size.

Love your channel. I'm definitely getting agate fever lol. Have you heard of Union Road Agates from St. Louis Missouri USA? I'm on a mission to find a good one! Anyway... The Dryhead agates are fabulous and are also from a generally no longer accessible area just like the Union Road agates BUT I'm going to find one. Cheers!

Never saw any rocks on line for $$$$ cost like the ones on this site even the same size and polished very well.
Don’t get me wrong, these are beautiful. Just too costly.

I can understand you, but I would have to put too much time and work into an agate like this...
Unfortunately, grinding and polishing this agate is not worth it for me.

@@joshuaritter-agatebay you should sell lower end agates to people to polish themselves. We don’t have access to many agates like that and would probably buy your lower end pieces that you wouldn’t want to polish.
