Glad to see the trim saw is getting some use! I’m loving my trim saw and have already used it so much. Thank you for this Malawi 🇲🇼 agate content!
Small but mighty the African Agates are beautiful.
Lesson learned Don’t judge a book by it’s cover or for that matter a nodule by it’s outer layer 😊 thanks for sharing the treasures
I tried to decide which way to cut along with you. I keep wanting to choose the long cut producing the biggest face, but you proved that’s not always the way to go. So thanks Kate for the demo. I’m learning along with you.
Loved these Malawi agates! They are unique, very beautiful!👍💗
WOW, some of those Agates was beutiful inside, loved the pattern and colors. (even some without color was beutiful)Lucky you I have a beutiful Botswana-agat, love that one too.
Wonderful cuts and wonderful colors. You have som really good slabs to work with . Cut, cut, cut! Thanks for sharing. 😷⚒
That was so much fun! And those agates were really different! But all of them were just beautiful! Wow! Thanks Kate!❤

Mystery agates. So fun to see them. Thank you ❤😊❤
Не знаю англійської мови, але мова каміння зрозуміла. Дивлюся ваші відео неймовірно гарні агати.
I really like your talking heads agate! It reminds me of Hawaiian tiki carvings. 😊
I like your decision making process on the cuts…Waiting on a back ordered trim saw to show up and I have about 10lbs of 1970’s waiting to be cut. I am glad I watched your video.
Doing just like you and agates except in the south U. S., I replace them with marshmallows and instead of a lapidary saw, I take a half bite . Joking, of course, its a fascinating job you perform 😊😊 thanks for your skill and effort, very much !!!
I would love to have a work space like yours with all the tools and machinery. Heaven ❤️
Awesome fun!! Happy New Year!!!❤🎉 Thank You Kate!
Loved this video!
The one with the red and green center was my favorite! (in the first batch)
The one at 6:38 looks like candy with a caramel center!
Thank you ❤❤❤
The Agate at the 2:18 mark is Stunning! Wonderful colors and so well defined. WOW! ~ The one at the 6:08 mark was sort of Heart Shaped. I would have Stood it up & Shaved off the top layer to accentuate the Heart.. Just me thinking.. ~ ~ I love the ones with clear depth in them so you can see deep into the stone next to the bands. ~ This is such a fun video. Thanks for showing us the Variety..
Love that ❤
You practiced, "Life's too short to cut ugly rocks!" 🙂
lol, you are not wrong!
Awesome 🤩
im impressed how good they look. way better than bahia river agates imo. 👌
It looks like two head profiles. 9:37
Wow..love them all. ❤🎉😮😊 6:20
Uuuuuu, such an pretty things❤(I even loved those 2 what u said were duds)
Very cool, so unassuming outside compared to your results!
Yeah, that's one reason I love cutting rocks. :)
You have an eye for cut placement. Thanks for sharing some info about Lake Malawi. They are also well known for their Chiclids. Chiclids are a popular aquarium fish species. Great video, Kate! 👍🏻
They're not all that large but there are definitely some nice cuts and patterns among them. I'm curious about the shield around your saw; did that come with it or did you have it made or make it yourself?
🧡💛💚💙💜👋
What size and Brand of saw are you running in this video? What is the maximum cut depth? Thank you. beautiful Agates!
Hey there! It's a Covington 10" trim saw - max cut depth is probably 4.5"
i have 5 lbs of malawi agates. but no lap saw D:
what does she spray on the rocks?
Hey there! They are cut in mineral oil, so they are coated with it when you take them out of the saw.
@@KatyDidRocks I see her spray the raw rocks off the ground is mineral oil. thanks for your quick ansers
Why do cut with oil and not water?
The blade is 10", so oil is recommended.
Is oil recommended with any 10 inch blade or just saw specific?
