Look like the way the Chinese pair's strategy was specifically trained to specialize in beating the Indonesian pair; playing like that, they will have a very hard time in later matches, especially against Chinese Taipei pair, Lee/Wang.
The umpire is amateur at best; for whatever reasons, she was being a jerk; she is NOT a professional and shouldn't be stationed in one of the biggest tournaments such as this. Her action clearly affected players of both sides negatively; there was one point that both teams decided to get on courts before 20 seconds were being called just to be safe.

Chinese pair pressured the Indonesians with a 3 point gap from 9/6. Each time the Indonesians reduce to 2 point gap, the Chinese wins back to 3 point gap. It was a pressure cooker, the Indonesians simply could not overcome. Congratulations to both sides, fantastic game.
The chinese played so well in this match. They rarely did errors. But good job to minions as well. Their defence are amazing tho. Comeback stronger💪 and congrats for the chinese👏 (but i still have grudge towards the umpire)
zhang nan in god mode, one of only few players who can sort of match kevin. if he can do this with Liu cheng, with a better partner the guy has a chance for gold again in tokyo.

LYD is very smart but ig Fu Haifeng can give the pair a better attacking play with his big smashes, and he can also withstand defensive play quite well, although not as well as LYD does. Just my opinion though.
I think a few factors in this win for the Chinese. 1 - Liu played a very good match, limiting too many mistakes. 2 - First match of the tournament. Zhang Nan is the oldest and has played a long time going into tournaments deeply on many, many occasions. Playing the Indonesians early may have been better for him, so he could play optimally. 3 - This may be the biggest one. Gideon made way too many mistakes. Sukamuljo couldn't carry with his usual brilliance.

It is a 1000 level tournament, players should conduct better and not waste time. Expect very strict umpiring for such a high level tournament.

I’m not a fan of the minions but I think that part were she mouthed, “He’s crazy!” when they challenged the call was very unprofessional. The camera was focused on her. She should’ve kept her thoughts to herself.
