Dari sekian banyak rekaman permainan Minion's, yg dpt disimpulkan : 1. Pd saat menyerang, posisi Kevin hrs di depan. Utk itu, agar permainan Minion's lbh baik lagi, maka Gideon hrs dilatih lagi agar bila Gideon di depan, dpt berfungsi spt saat Kevin di depan. 2. Pd saat Gideon bermain kurang percaya diri, Kevin tdk mampu membangkitkan semangat Gideon, malah Kevin terbawa kurang bergairah. 3. Ada kalanya, saat menghadapi lawan yg kelasnya jauh di bawah, ada kesan Minion's kurang serius. 4. Tipe permainan lawan tdk semua sama, maka pelatih hrs benar2 mempelajari dg baik permainan setiap lawan. Contoh : Pasangan si kidal Jepang. Tipe spt ini, tdk bisa diajak bermain cepat, krn Gideon bukan tipe pemain dg kecepatan yg baik, sbg sulit utk mengimbangi pasangan yg bertipe kecepatan tinggi.
Meskipun kali ini kalah tapi minions tetep yg terbaik dengan adanya minions badminton serasa bernyawa seru dan senang nontonnya kadang bikin tegang kadang bikin kita tersenyum dan tertawa minions tengil

You can't always win all the time... This is sport after all, anything can happen... Never have any players before achieved this level of consistency as minions... And this lose doesn't change that fact. But let's not take anything away from these Chinese players. They completely deserved the Victory. Thay play so brilliantly.
True.. All overwhelming favourites lost in this French Open. Tai Tzu Ying, Minions and Kento Momota. All three of them are equally dominant and consistent in their respective disciplines.

Kevin and Marcus disappointed me when they lost to CHAI/HONG last year in the WC, and to KAMURA/SONADA this year, then crashed out in the China Open a few months back. Yes, you can win as many tournaments as you can, but failing to convert in big matches would eventually end up as "second best", like LEE Chong Wei.
David Wushuang Zhao dissagree on Hendra and Kevin comparison, to me i think Kevin can only be compared to Lee Yong dae, as they are both Fast and agile while hendra tend to be more passive which i dont like from a player in any sport.

As in do they just not use "power" in the 2nd game and then go all out on the 3rd match, wouldn't that reduce power cause that means running a longer distance ?
ya I think second game it started so bad they decided to just play conservative to not waste energy for the 3rd game. But I don't think they purposely decided before the second game to just let them win.
Kevin has met his nemesis, Han ZK. This young Chinese talent is going to match Kevin speed at net and the superb flat game. This young Chinese pair made very minimal errors as well. Well deserved win. Notice how the young China players played the risky flat games? They did some mistakes along the way, but that’s how the flat game risks generally. Jean Coleman as far as i'm concerned, the inventor of this whole flat game thing was ahsan/hendra pairing in 2013.. But then lee/yoo took it to another level in terms of consistency..
Everyone knows the key to win against the minions... force Kevin to the back and with the first opening, put pressure on Gideon. However, Kevin makes it extremely hard to do so because he's very fast at reading the game and counter attack. Today though, the Chinese pair were able to maintain composure even when Kevin tried to dictate the game. Great defense and awesome attacks, well deserved win. I've always criticized Kevin for his attitude on court but lately he's been playing very respectfully, it's nice to see good badminton like this.

He indeed was given a warning by Indonesia badminton federation for his antics toward Conrad in Indonesia Open before, and after the match, the umpire(or referee) told Marcus that they didnt behave nicely in the match and they could get a black card. Kevin' s antics dont totally disappear tho, but they are sure mild now. I think it's mostly because he is maturing.

minions were lost mentally by the Chinese tactics. 1. lost in the first game by a slight point. 2. easy win in the second game. the confusion start showing in them and their coach's face. 3. Chinese coming back strong in the third game. Gideon emotional. Kevin didn't shout while smashing like he used to. they didn't have fun like they used to. nerves creepping. the Chinese pair were determined and focused. well deserved win.
