I have the Ender 3 Max with the glass plate and it has been a PITA from the first month. The textured surface wore right off just with paper towel and alcohol cleaning, and sticking issues are a constant problem. I did get the PEI bed upgrade and am going with it. Mine was from Creality but did NOT have both sides textured, just one. It also did not come wrapped in plastic, it was just in a foam box with no instructions at all. I guess they are no longer doing that. Bummer! Still, I hope it works better. Definitely leaving those back clips on to help line up the PEI sheet every time on the magnet though.
You're missing the Y belt adjuster screw, like thats all I could stare at in this video. The threaded hole where that knob would go. Otherwise PEI is totally the way to go, got one all of my e3/e3 pro printers, they work awesome when running klipper and just ripping prints out. Printed a remix of that octopus (pumpkin head variant) at the approx same size yesterday in around 5 hours on an ender 3 og.
