For me this worked exactly the opposite as you said in your video. It was on other OS and the system was incompatible for upgrade. Then I changed to Windows UEFI and now it says it's compatible to install windows 11. Anyway, that helped me finding this on the BIOS, so thank you.
To my understanding, is different for "installing" than for "updating". To install, you need to have sequere boot disabled, to be able to boot from an USB memory, and install Windows 11. To update, Windows 10 check you have it enable, to allow you to update to 11.
For me it was already on other os. But either way (whether i put it on other os or windows uefi) the pc health check says the pc has to support secure boot even though the secure boot state is enabled.
Thank you for the video you just earned a sub I am going to try this when I get home, all I need to do is enable secure boot and later I will convert my drives from MBR to GPT. Hope I can hop to Windows 11 in the future. I will stay on 10 for a while but I want to be ready for the move.
Found out my problem with secure boot is that I don’t have the boot keys installed so if I go into UEFI mode it will just keep returning to BIOS. A clean fresh install is the only thing I can think of to solve this problem.
Not really.Your drive is probably in MBR format. And that is what is preventing windows to boot in UEFI mode. Only thing you need to do is first convert MBR to GPT.You do this by pressing SHIFT + restart so windows will boot up in recovery mode then click on (troubleshoot) then click on (advanced options) then click on (command prompt) then enter following command it should look exactly like this mbr2gpt.exe /convert if done corectly Pc will now be able to boot in windows by enabling UEFI only mode in your BIOS.Hope this helps so you dont have to do a fresh install!
hi bro i have Asus laptop in which windows 11 is pre installed but when I try to lauch fifa 22 , 23 it doesn't start and come secure boot error what am I supposed to do should i download windows 10 will it work, and how i should download windows 10
Hello bro! Can you show your CSM settings in a video (boot), the secure boot is enabled but the pc health check cant detect it. and if i start the windows in the uefi mode i cant start it
CSM must be disabled to USE UEFI start up . So u have to Use usb stick with Windows on it and CSM disable after that installing the windows your drives will format in UEFI mode . If u have the old none UEFI install onmyour drives then will never boot With csm off. Also secure boot needs to be CSM off and Windows Uefi.
I did the same as you did in the video and it is still showing in the pc health check app that my pc doesn't support secure boot. What is the problem ?
This is the last thing I am trying to resolve so I can install Windows 11. PC Health check gives me the green light on everything but "This PC must support Secure Boot". I have tried both options in your video and neither work. Bios is also updated to the latest version as of today. Using Z370-a ii
Weird - I installed W11 while using "Other OS" and then later I accidentally switched it to UEFI and the system refused to boot, had to change it back. I also suspect that not having UEFI mode is blocking the W11 22H2 patch from installing (0x8007001f error, very hard to diagnose, I still haven't found a way to make this update install.)
This doesn’t work for me, I have it on other os and it still says secure boot has to be enabled. And from the looks of it you don’t reply to your comments so I guess I’m screwed
i change that and it wont bought into windows 10 to do the upgrading.... already have windows 10 installed and it would just be an upgrade thing.... right??
