    Why didn't I think of that? Great stuff. Can stack a couple of washers for more width.

    Amazing! I had to extend my bottom rad hose and looked at my bead roller and thought "if those dies were smaller I could do it right there". well duh... the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) method bit me again! Thanx for the awesome tip.

    I have seen the potable type "Vibrant" brand that has a large female die and a very small male die on the bottom (for 1.1/2" tubing) but never thought it would work with my HF bead roller, thanks for the idea, I'll be copying your steps.

      Thanks! I tried using the washer, as an experiment, expecting that I would need to make something more refined. As you can see, the results were good “as is”. Simple, is good!

    Good technology, do you have device to flare the pipe, I need that too

    • @ChipsAndSparksGarage
      @ChipsAndSparksGarage  4 года назад

      Thanks Samson. When you say “flare”, do you mean to expand the pipe, so that it will slip over another pipe? If so, on large diameters, you can do that with a stepping die.
      If you mean to make a true flare, or bell mouth, you can do that with a male radius for one die, and a stepping die for the other die.
      Tony B

    • @samsontaiwo6386
      @samsontaiwo6386 4 года назад

      Thank you for your quick response. The flaring is to make the edge flare out at about 45 degree. The flare is also required for safe passing of electrical cables too. Thanks for the good technology.

    I still like your work you have some very good ideas but No one is asking why would you put a bead on to a pipe ?

    • @ChipsAndSparksGarage
      @ChipsAndSparksGarage  2 года назад +1

      Tube beading is commonly used when you’ll be fitting a hose over the tube or pipe and securing it with a hose clamp. Think of a radiator outlet, or a boost pipe on an inter cooler. When the hose is clamped on the end, it will resist being pulled past the bead. Thanks for watching and commenting, Spider! 👍Tony B
