Thank you for sharing your story, looking back in hindsight and knowing what I do now I wish I'd push the gp's earlier as the first 4 or 5 flare ups were dismissed as viral infections, it wasn't until I got a lot of pain from my appendix that I went for tests and they found my colon had filled my stomach cavity leading to a left side hemicolectomy surgery (removed half of my Colon). At that point I was diagnosed with Crohn's and for the last 4 years I've been on medication to keep it under control. I wish I'd gotten it looked at earlier and saved having the surgery but I'm so grateful that I have had it. Yes it's embarrassing to start but gp have seen it all before. I had extreme stomach pain and diarrhea mid July, did a colonoscopy and everything came back normal, so I was told it was a big. Well the pains and diarrhea is back, now with blood. Doctor says it could be Crohn’s. Can someone have Crohn’s even with a normal colonoscopy test done?
My doctors did a blood test that showed my body is fighting some sort of disease. So they did a stool test to check for chrons disease and ulcerative colitis and my test landed on the line between having one of them and not having one of them. I’ve lost 17 pounds just this year so far and I’ve been nauseous and in pain every single day. It’s getting worse and worse. I’m scheduled for a biopsy on March 27th and I’m scared because I’m really hoping I don’t have chrons. I haven’t been able to eat consistently for weeks.

I have every symptom of Crohns :-( Ive lost count of the amount of appointments ive had. Ive had a colonoscopy but only in the large intestine. Its now said i have an enlarged spleen and a fatty liver, also i have no energy and joint pain everyday. My last blood test also showed a low blood count which to my knowledge is another symptom. Hurry up and help me diagnose my problem!!!
I'm sorry your so unwell, the colonoscopy goes right the way through, are you sure it wasn't a sigmoidoscopy that you had? As that will only show part of the intestines, an MRI or a colonoscopy will show the whole way through, hopefully tgis will give them a better idea of whats going on. The waiting game horrible but once you find out what's going on they will beable to treat you x
It's a Hard Crohn's Life well im not sure, i remember watching the screen and the guy pointed out an entrance to my small intestine. “Crohn's is the small bowel and ulcerative colitis is in the big bowel” is incorrect; it's actually more complex than that. Not only can Crohn's disease affect any part of the digestive tract (from the mouth to the anus), but different areas of the intestines simultaneously. Hence why Crohn's has subtypes. The most common being Crohn's ieileocolitis, which affects both the small and large bowel. And granulomatous, another form of Crohn's, is confined to the large bowel exclusively. Ergo Crohn's disease can affect the large bowel as well. Whereas ulcerative colitis, the second half of the inflammatory bowel disease family, affects only the large bowel and/or rectum.

I am here if you have any questions.
The quicker you find out what’s going on, the better. Let me no how it goes 💜💜
They have also put the stress idea onto me but im not convinced, also its been noted that my stomach acid is too high which is causing stomach erosion. :-( Im only 27.
Your accent sounds local to me lol
@@JackJackM it's so frustrating isnt it!, stress can play a big part but that doesn't help when your getting symptoms like that . Have they sent off a stool sample also? That will check your inflammation markers x

Dmiya crohns journey
I would see a allergist.
