    • @Orbital_Inclination
      @Orbital_Inclination 3 месяца назад +1

      @@tracyhall9560 the 'cash' you speak of is £50 a week to live on, whilst they are processed within the asylum system ( which itself is a legal right). This provides barely a basic quality of life whilst they are processed. The hotels are needed because the last government severely underfunded the asylum system to the point where the existing processing centres overflowed.
      As for other law breakers, they are provided with free accommodation, food, education, legal representation, clothing, etc etc through the prison system.
      In any case, the reason all current asylum seekers have to do so illegally is because the UK closed down all legal routes to do so. They have no choice but to break the law in order to claim asylum here.

      Balkan is a region of old people now. Kosovo media age is 32, Serbia is 44, Bosnia 43.
      Do you imagine making a war with people in their 30s, with kids and a stable professional situation ?
      This is nothing like in the 90s, where the median age was 25, there was a massive amount of young men with nothing to lose, ready to fight for a lost cause. Kosovo might be the only part young enough to start something, but even them are growing old fast.

      @@Roar1987 As much as I'm for Kosovo, I pains me to agree. This doesn't make sense; they can't enter buildings or arrest people? Seems like they pretty much tie KFOR's hands behind their backs.If Kosovo Police can't handle the smugglers and crime with KFOR troops there, what makes them think they can do it when those troops leave? Driving around in civilian cars doesn't make sense either. Military vechicals not only provide wayyyy better protection and what soldiers train on, they have a psychological effect on the public too. If they don't want the public to feel the presence of KFOR, it's hard to understand the point of KFOR being there IMO
