Hey DAVE! I just watched your latest PODCast with Joey and I gave him that Canadian Hat!! woot woot....so happy to hear him talk about it and he's wearing IT!! My fiends and I was down for the Classic from New Brunswick laughed at me for tracking him down in a parking lot after I told him I would give him a Canadian hat. Funny thing is he accepted the hat but said he wouldn't wear it as he wears a Cowboy hat but BAM there he is wearing it!! SO AWESOME!! Greta Podcast Dave! Speaking of takumi ito..I have watched several Japanese bass fishing shows on RUclips because they featured takumi..no I don't speak Japanese but fishing is fishing and taku oozes how much passion he has for fishing.. genuine dude

Dave you knocked it out of the park again. I found Jake on social media through the waterfowl industry when he did a podcast series with Tony Vandemore. Love Jake he’s awesome. I got to know Joey through a mutual friend from college man it’s awesome to see Joey have his success. Joey the cowboy will become a house hold name. Keep it up Dave!

When Jake was talking about Taku's short drop shot leader, I wonder if it is for fighting/landing the fish. When the smallmouth jump and shake their head, the weight goes all over the place, so a shorter leader will keep the weight from swinging as fast. Maybe that helps keep a few extra smallmouth pinned? I know the drop shot weight has been the cause of a few lost fish for me. That's why I only use the weights the get pinched on the line, and don't tie them on so when they jump, the weight comes off if it starts going fast.

Hahha Man I've been so excited/nervous for a tournament I released the driver side back strap, took off the prop stick but forgot the passenger side strap and was wondering why the hell the boat wouldn't come off the trailer. Thought I messed something up big time but nope, just a strap still hooked up 😂😂 I felt like a big ol cup of stuuuupid 😂😂😂. Awesome video as usual Dave!! Tight Lines & Be Safe!!! 👊

Awesome, Dave. Loved learning about the dark side of Takumi. Taku showed a couple of cool tiny baits on the bassmaster bait recap - got to wonder how they compare with the UTBs (unidentified tiny baits) seen by Jake. Alas we will never know...
Trust me I will be pushing Takumi for more bait into in the future now that Jake has proved unreliable 😂

Hey Mr.Mercer are you guys working so us viewers can see the livescope on a regular basis? I love fishing but when its not shown it gets stagnant even with fish catches. Im ok with them doing that but we really need to see what they are looking at. That screen answers so many of our questions and its the only way its gonna make it enjoyable in the long run. Great job once again this week Dave also i really enjoyed you and Zona teaming up nice surprise. ❤️🐟🤘😎
That’s the ultimate goal & as technology allows you will see it more. However right now only limited units allow us to do it that’s why you only see it with the humminbird guys. Let’s hope we see it on all the units one day.

Tube jig is old school and fishing has completely changed so doesn't surprise me. But every bait has a time and place or they wouldn't make them
Tube jigs still work great today. Not using one and saying it’s old school is nothing but foolish.
Could go through the Erie Canal. Lots of Small Mouth in the Erie Canal and lots of Goby moving all through NY through the Erie Canal.
The Erie Canal is a totally different canal than the welland canal. Only the smallmouth will ever know what route it took.
