►WHAT IS SAKUGA? // WHAT IS A SAKUGA MAD
Sakuga (作画) literally means drawing in Japanese. But Sakuga also means "artistically impressive animation".
MAD stands for Music Anime Douga (Douga means video in Japanese). It's the same as an AMV. Sakuga MADs are compilations of great animation made to collect, celebrate and appreciate the work of animators.

What would happen if studios actually payed and taked care of their animators.
Kyoto animation is legit proof
Even if studios paid their animators 10 times the amount they are now. Their budgets would be significantly below western animation productions, and not really needing to reach the budget levels seen at Disney, Viacom, Netflix, etc.. It's really a good question why they still do this scummy activity...
@@corrinflakes9659 studios like disny,netflix have a bigger payment mostly due to the bigger audience of western media/ad revnue which create a bigger opptrunity for bigger payment/expecations, and to just take a punch to the anime industry, the biggest source of anime being watched on are illegal websites which dosnt help for any change soon

The thing about anime animation is that there's no limit to what you can do with it. These worlds, this feeling of livelihood that these animations capture so perfectly, seemingly can't be found anywhere else. There's freedom in these animations, and that's what I love about them so much.

The girl playing the violin was insane
the violinist anime character on that ad was based on the actual person named Nada Syakira Aisya, the winner of Otsuka's sponsored talent show : Pocari Sweat Bintang SMA 2019.
A lot of people only pay attention to the characters, soundtrack, and story, and I feel like the sweat and blood that animators spill into making animations are so overshadowed. I've found out about so many different animators through this channel and I really appreciate you crediting so many animators, and making all these videos.

I became obsessed with this compilation during the summer, so much so I deep dived and listened to all of Roosevelt's albums. By chance I saw that he was coming to my city in a venue in the neighborhood I grew up in. I went with my bestfriends and it was lit af considering everyone could only dance in there seats radius cause of covid. Honestly an experience I'll never forget so thank you for putting in the effort for this comp 🙏. Merry Christmas 🎄.

bruh tbh I didn't enjoy watching Your Name, and I hardly remember it. But the only scene I remember was when the MC traveled thru the girl's past. It proves that Shinomiya has some really big talent. I'm looking forward for his next work even if it's a little one. Thank you for this vid!
