There are THREE possibilities for n-v-l; for t-st-; and for wh-l-; 2 for -nt-r; and number 10 is an abbreviation.... I gave up at 20: pointless exercise when there are so many alternative possibilities.👎

Any vowel added could be the word. This is not well thought out. For instance novel could have been naval or navel.
