Hi Phil / Deepa - just back from a week in Scotland and did the same tour - about one year later and only two drams in the warehouse, but the Springbank (32) and Longrow (28) are now a year older 🙂 (and had the Hazelburn as 'breakfast'). The Springbank is now bottled as the ABV got dangerously low, and there isn't much Longrow left in the cask. I can only recommend the tour (Barley to Bottle), truely amazing and I agree with you re the Springbank and Longrow from the warehouse, they are something special!
You can't help but love this distillery. I treat my 15yr as precious but I think I will crack it with friends soon. Cheers Phil and Deepa and cheers Springbank
Fantastic! Looked really fun! And those are such incredible Whiskies!! SB is really a destination for geeks! It was on my list before … but now it is like first thing to do once I finally get there!
There is no comparison, this flight of drams…in this location…with this company…among such casks- an answered prayer! The ex-bourbon casks really delivering, hitting on all barrels. How special!
This makes me love Springbank even more, they seem to have a lovely traditional way of making the whisky with no pomp or ceremony just focusing on quality. Just wish I could get hold of a bottle 😅
@@WhiskyMystery The very best setting for a tasting that I can think of. Next to a peat bog or on the Islay beach near sunset might be close but this is just out of this world.
Deepa’s reaction to the 31 year old was awesome! Is this the 250 quid tour? Last time we were there we just opted for the tasting, but this tour looks like a blast!
Insane....May I ask how much did they charge you for this warehouse tour considering the venerable drams you had ? It is seems incredible & hope to be able to visit it some day..Slainte !
I hope you got to keep those Spey glasses. distillery tours are boring to me and the only part I really like is the warehouse tour and seeing the casks and tasting the whisky. You tasted some big time aged whisky.
@@WhiskyMystery I was able to get my hands on the Springbank 15 rum cask at Total Wine in San Mateo in 2019, so that Hazelburn 18 peaks my curiosity of how differently the Rum effects the unpeated malt.

Loved Deepa’s excitement at the Springer 💥
It was such a good moment

Oh fantastic. So glad you got that experience. We enjoyed that day so much.
I like the part where you mentioned the Longrow red, and you're right that's technically two different barrels. Excellent tour, Cheers!
Yeah sounds like they used to do it but not anymore
What a fantastic tour and I so appreciate you taking us along! Cheers to you both!🥃😊
Cheers

Ultimately got to drink them to enjoy them
Today is the day then
Superb! 31 yr old Springbank dished out like it was lemonade 😋😋
haha yeah amazing
What a candid recording. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Need to get myself up to Campbeltown now!
Book that trip!
Wow! Thank you for taking us along, Phil & Deepa.
Cheers
Looking forward to doing all this too, you really captured that dunnage warehouse, I could almost smell it!
Hardly any light in there :-)

Hard to pass on this one.
Loved this. Thanks for sharing.

It really was.
Amazing, thanks so much for sharing these two videos. Hope to get there someday! Cheers 🥃
We will also look back on them in a few years for memories

Yeah full respect for them
Great insight into the tasting. So jealous though. Enjoy the rest of your holidays and safe travels 🥃
Cheers Mark
I feel like I'm there too. It's amazing. Thank you so much!
I will go there one day.
I need to.
Cheers!
Thanks Louis
Thanks for giving us a peek. Wish I was there!
Cheers
What a fantastic opportunity !!!!!

A cascading series of great whisky. Good for you👍👍👍
A great tasting
Once in a lifetime tasting! Thanks for sharing.
It really is

@@Tantrum777 Sounds great.
@@WhiskyMystery Or just where you were, next to the barrels. Dirt, Earth, wood and whisky. Wow almost heaven!
@@Tantrum777 Yeah so perfect
AMAZING. Can't wait to get there someday.
Recommended!
No wonder you both had Cheshire cat smiles after that tasting, 31yr old springbank, 27 yr old longrow and big bubbles on that 18 yr old kilkerren. 👍🥃
Funny to think the 27 year Longrow was the step down
Thank you for sharing. Longrow 27.. 😊
And it was only second best.
Deepa’s reaction to the 31 year old was awesome! Is this the 250 quid tour? Last time we were there we just opted for the tasting, but this tour looks like a blast!
Yes this is a small part of the £250 tour. The Cadenhead tasting is only $35 I think but you do not get 31 year Springbank
Can you please add subtittles in the future videos?
subtitles are automatic I can not choose. They are on. If you mean to manually add titles it is too difficult.

The whole day of Barley to Bottle was £250. Tour, Tasting, Lunch and Blending bottle.
I hope you got to keep those Spey glasses. distillery tours are boring to me and the only part I really like is the warehouse tour and seeing the casks and tasting the whisky. You tasted some big time aged whisky.
Yes we did. I would not do too many more distillery tours but Springbanks old buildings are pretty special.
Welp. This makes me feel good about booking this tour. :)
Oh great. Hope there is still some left.

which tasting was that ? I can't seem to see it on the springbank website.
It is a small part of the 'Barley to Bottle' day. Tour, Tasting and tomorrow's blending video are all from the one day.
@@WhiskyMystery Cheers. Keep on enjoying !
🤤👍 UFR!! Cheers!
Yes it was
LIFE, as we know it, commences at 4:45 . . .

I love your videos but it makes me so home sick I’m from between Tarbert and Campbeltown but live n the USA
Guess you need a trip back Jamie
so for marrying purposes :)
ah yes
