The crazy thing is, the shoes that’s UA were getting passed as authentic through stock x and goat. Meaning plenty of people got fake shoes under the assumption and thought that they were real lol
The more you call them UA the better for the Chinese factories. They like the term UA it gives them an excuse to charge more . Once we call them for what they are Replicas or fakes then we have more bargaining power.
This video is great, love all the information presented. Where you said they are contractually obligated to destroy all extra pairs, materials etc & that bribery is common practice in china. I personally think it is possible a few factories are doing/have done this in the past, I just think it's very very unlikely. Just found this love from the UK keep up the good work (sorry I'm 1 year late lol)
As an older guy who's been to CN and visited Guangzhou, it's amazing to see how this has all evolved. Originally, "UA"s were sorta as advertised. A twist of the truth sorta. In the begining in China, labor laws aren't like here/US. When a factory hires workers they have to hire them for a designated amount of time. Not necessarily a dollar amount to workers. This lead to many factories over shooting cost budget and not including labor. It started off as actually using Nike materials as they claimed but those days ended long ago. The NDA's and such don't hold up well in China. Their legal system is entirely different, just google how many US companies have their IP outright stolen there and then the company booted out of China. Anyways, as time went on, the patterns, dye-cuts for patterns of many Nike and Adidas products were spread out and cloned to other factories
Which is where we're at now. In Guangzhou there's tons of factories that never were commissioned or at any point part of the Nike hub. They're entirely independent and even compete with one another for clients lurking the grey market. They particularly like finding resellers in the US and telling them they're real and selling them their top end 1:1's. With all that said, meh. I could care less what anyone buys for any reason. Be it to stay in budget, or to stay "true" to their wants, whatever. Wear what you want and don't be a silly child and chase "status symbols" that are literally just sneakers. They're not nor ever will be anything bigger than what YOU hype them up to be.
Not always the same material. Not. Hardly. Either it's sourced or they try something close. Different workers, different factory's, different processes, just because they're good at reverse engineering does not make them the same thing.
@@papi-shoelo so with that, would you buy this UA as they call it? I've seen TS jordan low in a very hotel store and I saw a "UA" as they call it....damn, so close and I don't think the legit is even better. 100% comparable!
@@papi-shoelo I wish people could just walk into a store and buy the shoes. They are never available and they go up in price that's why I stopped collecting sneakers used to go to my sneaker store give my name at 10pm wait until 4 am get in line wait until 6 something for the sneaker store to open its ridiculous I was young and dumb I spend over 21 thousand dollars on sneakers I could of done so much more :/
Before watching the entire video at :45 to 1:10 you made a blanked statement saying its bullshit. Thats what I was referring to. You’re right b grades are not the same as unauthorized authentic. But b grades are shoes that didnt meet quality standards. So I was confused on what you were saying in the beginning before you dived into your explanation
And part of the reason Im saying things in your video are not 100% accurate is because you said at 2:50 that manufacturers disregard any left over product that isnt sold for retail. My ex brother in law was an engineer for a company that made different products. One of the products was maui glasses. They did not destroy the products and people did take stuff home from work. So while I agree that in some cases it does happen, not every manufacturer is following those contract obligations if they have em in place
This video explanation of reps and retails what i am looking for a long time. Its an accurate explanation.

You can call authentic Nikes, cheap ass shoes that are made in factories, the same as every other damn place
Right, just like most consumer products we buy that you are not immune to
No such thing as UA, plain and simple. They’re all reps. Some better than others.

Unauthorized authentic is an oxymoron.
Like pretty ugly 😂
No it aint

Agreed. Source? Been to the factories. They’ll argue I did that though 😂
My video on this very topic got me in hot water as you may recall.
I recall. It's a shame that the truth is so controversial
People using the term UA makes me cringe so hard
UA , EOM or any imitation can achived by low, mid its okay. nike said its okay.
where and when did they say it's ok?
You do know they do make b grades. That actually a thing. Doesnt matter about business. They do have b grade sneakers
I never said they don't have be grades, when did I say that?? 😅
If ua and authentics are made with same material how are they different

@@papi-shoelob grades are made from the same materials though not always. And they are authentic. Just have defects. They still from nike
Spot on! Nothin wrong with fake, but fake....is fake. Great video as always.
Facts. Fake is fake
Always has been
There are nike factory outlets that sell b grades so this is not true.
When the hell did I say there are no b grades?? Bro, check your speakers or your ears 😂😂
