What happens if I adjusted the drag in strike just a couple times when I initially bought the reel (not while fighting a fish)? I’m paranoid I did some damage to my new toy.
You keep saying free bait...those are 2 different settings....free spool and live bait...
How do u know if ur reel is damaged?
Where is the freebait detent?
Then what do you do when you fish the reel?
When you have reel on strike do you put on clicker?
Depends on the type of fishing. If I am trolling or fishing a bait on the bottom I will put the clicker on so I can hear if a fish takes the bait
Even if u wanted to adjust drag while in strike u cant cus it doesn't turn you noob 🤣🤣
I saw a guy do it, he had to crank on it tho. But I’ve never seen it adjusted in freebait before 🤦🏼
he's teaching you how to ruin your drag on your reel. not everyone has the proper tools to measure the drag strength.
it's more safe to put it on strike position then adjust the preset drag on your preferred strength of drag
@@hangulkayeah keep doing that and watch your drag fail when you're hooked into that trophy fish. To all the new anglers to lever drag, do NOT listen to fools like this. The guy in the video is exactly right
@dylanclay2741 I have only seen youtube videos of how to use a lever drag reel and even I know not to adjust the drag while at strike position
