Glad we share love for this weapon platform. I use it in conjuction with the Shadowhawk hero variant, they compliment each other nicely. The six dakka is just.. too damn good to pass up. I personally use a PPC on the large slot with maxed out armor and regular MLs.
I love the grey death shadowhawk. So heavy armed for a medium mech it’s not funny. With that said I was excited to load 6 ac/2 in the arrow until I found I couldn’t meet tonnage
i run mine w/ 3 light rifle for long ranges , 3 MG's, 3 Med. laser and love it. believe it or not the 3 light rifle all linked for fire packs a pretty good punch even against heavier mechs. Max armor, no jump jets,
This thing wrecks mechs!... I'm running max armor, 1 tier 5 ER PPC. 6 tier 4 MGs, and 2 tier 5 flamers.. late game mech upgrades, +20% speed, increase ballistic range and velocity, along with +5% ballistic dmg, and +5% weapon dmg. It handles itself in the 400-ton missions just fine..
Love the Bushwacker... no idea why, I just love the mech. I tend toward a AC/10 or LBX, Two med lasers in the nose, and two LRMs (10 and 5...). Been using it since MW4.
the only thing I would change is the weapon groups, LP Las to 1, MP Las to 2, and all MGs to 3. If only for consistency, because you never know when you won't get a good opportunity to close the distance. If someone finds it hot, it's also flexible enough to drop the pulse las to SB las, which will still put out consistent dps. IIRC, this mech has.. 7+ upgrade slots? So you could go for maximum ballistic upgrades, damage and reload rate, and then one for laser duration reduction
damn i never found this mech but it looks good i guess i have to work for the davions to buy it or as you have to work for steiner to get the marauder 2 with luck you can buy them.
The hero blackjack is fairly common, to me. Found it in my first play through several yrs ago. Found it again on my recent play through. Also had duplicate heros. Had a hero something in my base game. Played Rise of Rasalhague. Imported my data. Just found the same hero mech again. So I just bought it, cuz why not. Never did find the Marauder II in any game. Even went to the same spot a RUclipsr TTB found it. But I have 800 DHS, so I'm happy.
ive probably played 100 plus hours of mech warrior 5 and dont ever remember seeing this hero mech???? i want it bad now!!!! what industrial hub does it spawn at usually? or is it random and i have just gotten unlucky and never seen it?
What I would of loved to know, is what upgrades did you have on the mech? And there were no Mods in this video right? Many other videos always have set ups and such, but there's too many mods that us Platformers don't have access to them.
For this mech I take speed upgrades, and ballistic damage upgrades. Its pretty flexible upgrade-wise. No mods on build videos for the same reason that not all players use mods.

Is there a specific location on galaxy map where you have a higher chance of locating any hero variants ? I played since day release on Xbox own all dlc. yet I always only see same ones even if I own them stick them in my cold storage it's always DBL pop ups. I recently restarted a new game now competed main campaign did most of the kestrel dlc and just new dlc to compete. I have been all over galaxy map have over 300 mil in bank and easy same in equipment and stuff not including mechs in storage. but no joy sucks to be Vs rng. Can never say Pokémon on all let alone get to try all mechs in game out so far.
I've got the majority of hero mechs now in my latest playthrough and I've found that they appear later on (vs early game), but it's also b/c I have the money to burn to travel from one end of the galaxy to the other. What I've done this time is to pickup every hero mech, even if I don't want them, to remove them from a potential pool of hero mechs. I've never come across a duplicate of a hero mech.
Mate? You don't use YAML? On PC? Why? MW5 is so incomplete without mods, I can't stand watching YT content for it from people who don't use it or even MercTech. It's basically a different game with it missing!
This was one of my favorite mechs on my first play through. I loved how well it puched above it’s weight class.
good lord, I've been using the Arrow a lot, and with 6 gold MGs it pumps out damage like you wouldn't believe.

The arrow is a heavy hitter for its size, 6 masterwork MG and flamers makes short work of everything. Fun for battlefields/warzones.

I never thought mg could be efficient. Will try myself.
People don't tend to like the mg, but a minimum of 2 ballistic hardpoints is a must for my mechs!

Trebuchet TBT-LG, same idea, but faster and more DPS with SRM to melt the backarmor

Imagine an Annihilator variant with all mg-hardpoints...
It would need to add more hardpoints and be a little faster! ;)

I've found it to all be random and only helps if you buy up all the hero mechs you see (removes it from the pool)

I play modded, so 4 Heavy Chain Guns's (2 tons, 900 range) make it a chain saw. XL engines rule.

I was doing some prep with my friend and we'll be recording our next coop campaign and will be using YAML with some other mods!

with yaml - this mech with 6x gatling gun and 3xer med lasers is great!
