Pepper Garden After Beryl, July 9, 2024

July 9, 2024, the day after Hurricane Beryl. First, let me say it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
The storm made a series of eastward movements before and after landfall which kept the stronger winds and rain away from me, thank God! Also, the storm was a fast mover heading northeast at about 12mph or more which kept the time under the effects of wind brief.
All in all, the damage was minimal to the plants and no trees etc. were damaged. I’ll say I learned from this and tear down and setup worked better than I thought it would. At this time the support frame for the shade cloth is in place, however, due to an already planned upgrade, better tent stakes which didn’t arrive on time, I’ll be hanging the cloth itself tomorrow.
