Wow, I am spechless again! Bilding such a bow is hard anyway and affords an incredible amount of patience, dedication and knowledge. Brading this unbelievable long sinew cable for the backing in itself probably took hours. But doing it outsides with temperatures below freezing, I guess, ain't no picnic! where did you get the skills and knowledge to do such good workmanship this must have taken years of hands on hard work and tons of research, this art is being lost to time we are becoming so dependent on technology that one day when it is gone we will be doomed by our lack of knowledge of our own history not knowing how to do this sort of workmanship it is very good that you are keeping our history alive for us sir and for this I thank you sir for your time and patience and workmanship may your knowledge live on forever by passing it on to someone ells.

So incredibly awesome!! Words can’t express how grateful and excited I am about this video! Where did you find your information on how to make this bow? So cool!!
Thank you for yet another absolutely magic creation of an atmospheric video! you never disappoint. Making foolproof bows in arctic temperatures that can shoot both ways is more than cool 😎
Absolutely beautiful work, the only question I have is would it do better to wet to sinew and then wrap it? This would allow it to naturally tighten as it dries out and form a bond that would last forever. My walrus hunting spears appear to have all been wrapped wet so that they dried tight
That was pretty cool to watch and I definitely learned a few things. As I was watching I thought for sure it would end up strung the other way more like a recurve. I still wonder how it would of performed if done that way.

Wonder what is the source material for this type of Bow? Never seen any mention or reference to them in North America . Also have not seen any pre contact metal rivets....just trying to get an idea of what exactly you are portraying ?
Copper was used throughout the americas for thousands of years. Plenty along the northwest coast and around the Great Lakes. Bows from Baffin Island were shaped like this. The gullwing set back handle shape is pretty common in North America.
Excellent video, as always!! I have 3 request, because you are a great bow maker, I think you can do it. First one, an ottoman bow, you already have the arrows and already shooted one. Second, an egyptian bow, always wanted to see how they made it. The last one, because you look like one (just joking) a cossack bow!! Thanks a lot for all your videos!!
please excuse my direct and maybe provocative sounding question, i do NOT want to offend you in any way. I am sure there is a reason why the bow has this form. unfortunately there are so many (mostly advertising) pictures with false strung (asian) bows and this bow looks exactly the same. Could you please tell me why the bows limbs are curved this way? is it due to limitation of material availability or material structure or are there other reasons? thanks for this interesting video anyway!!!!
Plenty of bows throughout North America were shaped like this. From the Great Basin, the plains, desert southwest, all the way to the arctic. Why it was the preferred design I don’t know. However this bow is definitely strung the right way although it looks deceiving.
This is a fantastic piece, I’ve never seen such a detailed recreation of a bow in this style. Thank you for sharing your craftsmanship and knowledge
